MMiss InformationThe snowstorms have started early in Iowa so I was extremely happy to walk into the warm hotel and check in. The desk clerk was friendly but not overly so. Check in was very quick and I was quickly on my way to a beautiful and blessedly warm room. Noise was a bit loud as wedding guests came in after 1am and I was near the elevators. Check out was seamless and breakfast at the hotel cafe was quick, friendly and tasty.

PPengguna TetamuExcellent service from Tracey and her team. She was so kind, helpful and friendly. All staffs at the reception was so welcoming. Rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. Beds were so comfy and had a good night sleep. Breakfast was delicious with variety of choices. We wished to have stayed here longer but had to catch a flight the next day. Definitely returning in the future. Highly recommend to everyone visiting Des Moines. Thanks to every staffs for making our stay amazing!!

PPengguna TetamuMy wife and I stayed at Drury Inn in Des Moines for one night. The hotel was awesome and everything about it was what we hope for in a hotel stay. Our room was clean, spacious, and quiet. The hotel staff were kind, courteous, and helpful. Even though we did not use it we also received a drink card for three free drinks each. There was also free hot popcorn available for part of our stay as well.

PPengguna TetamuPoor lighting, couldn’t figure out how to just turn on 1 light. Bathroom lights to bright to keep light on all night. You should install small night light in bathroom.
Refrigerator too small and u need coffee maker in room
Beds comfortable, bedding cozy, and quiet room.

Kami mengalami sedikit miskomunikasi antara hotel dan trip.com mengenai pembayaran, tetapi mereka berjaya menyelesaikannya dengan cepat dan kakitangannya cepat membuat perkara yang betul untuk kami! Kami menikmati kedua-dua tab mandi panas & kolam renang dan kedua-duanya adalah apa yang kami perlukan!! Hotel ini cukup jauh dari pusat bandar untuk menjadi damai tetapi cukup dekat sehingga semuanya boleh diakses. Perkara terbesar yang menonjol ialah bagaimana menampung kakitangan. Sangat mengesyorkan.

PPengguna TetamuI have had an excellent 3-day stay at this hotel. The beds are comfortable, towels are thick and room is nicely updated, quiet and clean. Totally love the telescoping magnifying mirror on the wall and I really appreciate having a cover on the toilet. (Some places don’t have that anymore. 😱)
Breakfast had many choices: awesome waffles, fruit, whipped cream, cereal, bagels and cream cheese, hard boiled eggs, and alternating hot egg and sausage choices, and daily biscuits and gravy (highly recommended).
The pool area is small but functional.The hot tub was in working order and the water temperature was good. (I personally like it a little hotter, but that’s just me.) Just ask if you want the lights turned on while you’re in there.
I had no problem checking in and staff was very helpful throughout my stay.
A previous reviewer had showed concern about the fire doors not being closed at all times, however, they are magnetic and will automatically close in the case of a fire, so no worries there.
Location is convenient to a major arterial and interstate and I had no problems finding the hotel. Close to many popular locations.
Thanks for a great stay at a reasonable price.

PPengguna TetamuWe booked this hotel on-line and I was beyond pleased with our room and the hotel. I called to get a room by end of hallway due to TKR surgery and service dog to go out. They made sure we had just what I needed. The room was exceptionally clean (and I was Head Housekeeper @ HIE so I like things clean and very maintained. The condition of hotel is great and very clean. Breakfast was delicious and we had a variety of things from waffles to hot food to cereal, fruit, etc. The pool was heated, which made for relaxing swims and the hot tub was nice and hot, like a hot tub should be. Trust me, we've stayed at so many that they're barely luke warm and it's not worth it. They take pride in the upkeep, cleanliness and care of the pool area as well as the hotel itself. We wanted to stay an extra night and the owner personally booked it and gave us a wonderful deal, and he even let me grab a bowl of cereal to take my meds with. The hotel is in a wonderful location with Hy-vee, Fareway, Dollar General, Walmart, Mc.D's, and other food places close by as well as gas stations. Lastly, I'd like to add that I was very happy with the safety of the hotel. Being in a safe place knowing that I don't have to worry about my vehicle or taking my dog out at night is one of my highest priorities. So, if you find yourself needing a place around the Des Moines area, go the little extra and stay in Grimes @ the Red Lion. You won't be disappointed!
