The hotel is situated in Ninh Bình, a protected UNESCO World Heritage Site and known as Halong Bay on land. The view from the hotel is stunning. Our room was huge and luxurious, clean and comfortable. Staff was very helpful and friendly, the restaurant was fine. We enjoyed an exceptional stay.

Our stay was very comfortable. The room provided all necessities such as shampoo, soap, fresh linen, towels, and AC. The floor was very clean. We had a great view of the mountain. Did not have any issues with mosquitoes, but probably mostly to do with the time of year (mid October). The location is just a 10min walk from boat rides and other restaurants. We didn’t rent any bikes but rather hired Grabs to get around. The staff were very friendly as well. Recommended for couples and families!

Het resort is nog in aanbouw dus ze klussen nog op het terrein. Super vriendelijke man die ons wel te woord stond en ons hielp en prima Engels sprak. Locatie is wat ver weg van de reuring. In de straat zelf zitten restaurantjes maar is niet veel te beleven. De cave kan je wel lopend doen dus dat is goed.
Qua kamer vonden wij het matig. Foto’s op internet zagen er mooier uit. Er zitten gleuven bij de deur (deze sluit niet goed aan op de muur). Dus elke avond hebben wij de kamer nagekeken op ongedierte (niks gevonden trouwens). Fietsen zijn niet gratis, hiervoor moest je betalen. En het ontbijt wordt op een klein tafeltje in een hoekje geserveerd. Bad is ook een beetje wankel. Met mooi weer kan je wellicht wat meer genieten ook van het bad achterin de tuin. Maar nogmaals, ze zijn wel erg vriendelijk.

Simple, rustic hotel in Ninh Binh. We stayed here for two nights to explore Ninh Binh. From the start, D, the hotel staff was very prompt in answering our inquiries which was very assuring for a pleasant stay. Our private airport transfer to the hotel went without a hitch. Arriving at the hotel in the morning, we were offered breakfast which was well appreciated. The room was spacious and clean but needs refurbishment. The place is peaceful and quiet. Overall a very good stay.

A beautiful settings. The whole place is in a big garden. Rooms are nice, large and well lit with natural sunlight. Staff very cooperative trying to please. I got in after a long day, desperately needed a massage (after 8pm), still they managed to get a good masseuse. Breakfast is okay. Maybe more towards local cuisine, but with a nice selection of fresh vegetables, eggs and fruit. I’ll be happy to stay there again.

My wife and I easily booked a table for lunch. It was served on an open terrace with a beautiful view of mountains and rice fields. Very pretty. The Vietnamese food was excellent but with a more modern twist. The waiter was kind and efficient. At the end, we asked to see the hotel and met the lovely Mr. Chi. He took us through the hotel's wonderful garden, explaining everything about each room and how it works in general. At the end, he also recommended a beautiful walk in the area, called a taxi to take us and pick us up, and was even kind enough to ask if we had arrived safely. It is rare to find people so polite, kind and efficient. Congratulations to the excellent Tam Coc Garden and Mr. Chi.

Sentimientos encontrados con el hotel, no parecía malo en fotos, están super editadas y hechas con algo de IA, sin embargo llegando alla encontramos unos cuantos problemas con la habitación, de partida que no era exactamente como se mostraba en las fotos.
Tenía algunos detalles que se vuelven importantes como que no había control remoto y pasaba en más de una pieza, (me enteré cuando alegue de todo en recepción), la ducha no funcionaba correctamente, no se sostenía a la pared por lo que había que estar agarrándola, y la limpieza no fue la mejor.
Hablé con el manager un par de veces por teléfono, (ya que nunca se presentó en el hotel )y luego de mucho discutir que no me iban a devolver el dinero y que pensaban mandarme a un hotel que por fotos se veía bastante deficiente de lo que yo ya había pagado, al cabo de un tiempo nos cambiaron a uno mejor en el cual no tuvimos ningún problema.
Quede con sensación agridulce ya que después del mal rato se pudo llegar a una solución, que me favorecía.
Cabe mencionar que si no fuera por la imágenes engañosas y los detalles que se hacían importantes, el hotel en términos generales estaba bastante bien. (salvo por el desayuno).

Unfortunately, our two night experience here wasn't as good as we'd hoped from looking at the photos and reviews on Tripadvisor. Upon arrival, staff seemed friendly and helped us up to our room with our bags. We booked a double room which was located one floor up from the reception. There was no noise from the reception area itself but we got very little sleep due to dogs barking throughout the night (all windows were closed). The room itself was a little dated and not the cleanest of hotel rooms (though it could have been worse). There were stains on the blinds, walls, bedding and fabric chair which were a little gross. Hot water worked fine for us and the minibar was restocked with the water which we had used. Staff were friendly when we saw them, but their presence was lacking at times and the hotel seemed very quiet. We were looking forward to sitting out on the large balcony up top (from which the views were stunning) but this area seemed neglected with the bar closed and no guests using it which was sad since we were looking forward to spending evenings chatting to others and relaxing as per the photos we'd seen. We can't comment on food as we didn't eat at the restaurant, though no one seemed to eat there in the evening. We borrowed bicycles (free of charge) from the hotel which was a brilliant way of seeing some of the phenomenal local area. Overall, our experience here wasn't great but it may have been a different story if we'd booked a better room on the other side of the hotel away from the noise of the dogs!

If you want an English speaking host who will organise all you trips, transport etc then stay with local guide Tommy Pham and his lovely wife and 2 kids and get treated like family!... The homestay is on the quiet side of the lake yet only minutes away from all the best bars and restaurants. The rooms are clean and quiet with ceiling fans and icy aircon for a perfect nights sleep🥰.. You MUST book Tommy's guided motorbike tour where local riders take you along quiet country trails to little known locations with amazing views... And he will book bag trips as well to ask the best local attractions complete with English speaking guide..And the prices are ridiculously cheap😁... Thanks Tommy for a wonderful stress holiday in Ninh Binh 🥰

SStephanieI truly cannot say enough good things about this place. Dzung and his family were so kind and generous. They went out of their way to make our stay unforgettable. The pictures of the home stay on the internet do not do this place justice. Dzung has made every effort to make his guests feel at home. We each had bicycles that we could use free of charge. The breakfasts that his wife made were delicious, best pancakes! We had our own bathrooms and the rooms and facilities were absolutely pristine. Trip.com indicated that this home stay had shared washrooms but this isn’t always the case, we had our own private bathrooms. We also couldn’t get enough of the rooftop pool! Dzung was so helpful showing us where to go and what to do. The home stay is so conveniently located, away from the hustle and bustle. So tranquil and peaceful. We will mostly definitely be returning. This was truly a special experience that my husband and I will never forget. Thank you Dzung and your family for being the most gracious hosts. We felt as though we were a part of your family. We will see you all soon!

Best place i have stayed in vietnam could not recommend it more. We came in at 5am after a sleeper bus and when we got there we were greeted with fruit and buns. We got to check in early and sleep for a few hours. Room was lovely with a double bed and ensuite. We rented bikes and we got free water for the day after doing this. The staff were lovely. They provide a laundry service- I gave 2kg of clothes at 10am and it was left waiting outside my room all clean and dry at 4pm. Breakfast was included this was nice too. We also were given snacks and water for our next bus after leaving. If staying in Ninh Binh you should definitely book with Homestay Koi!!

Unfortunately when I stayed they still had parts of the hotel under construction like the pool area and drive way and the family accommodation next to the drive way. There is also a few other houses/hotels under construction in the area at the moment so it’s not so quite during working hours.
The family was very helpful and kind. I took a free bike to Trang An which was an easy 20 min ride (stopped for some pics along the way). I also ordered a late meal which they were happy to fix for me.
Right by a small lake and surrounded by mountains it’s very picturesque. Large rooms and comfy beds. I would definitely recommend.

PPengguna TetamuWe stayed for 5 nights and it was a fantastic experience throughout! Room was clean and had hot water, Netflix and aircon. View at the homestay was great and allowed us to relax thoroughly. Host was very friendly and gave us good advice on where to travel in the area. We had bbq and family was so kind to help us with the bbq. Location is ideal for travelling to trang an boat ride and hang mua cave. Bicycle rental is for free. Overall, highly recommend others to visit this homestay to complete your vietnam experience!

TTentenAmaiodinTam Ha (one of the staffs) had assisted us throughout our stay. Easy to communicate. We reached the hotel around 7am and they let us rest in the massage room while waiting for the check-in time (2pm). At 10am - room was ready for us to check-in. She even upgraded our room and thus, we had bathtub 🥰. They lent us a steamer for us to iron our clothes. Bicycles available to stroll around town (free) and motorcycles available for rent at 60k dong for half day. They even had so many services which sadly we had no time to experience. We did try the complimentary tea time and it was nice to hv a chat at the rooftop with such perfect view. I would recommend this hotel. Service 5 star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.
Tam Ha even personally came to our room to check on us so that we didn’t miss our flight on the check-out day.
The other staffs were also friendly and kind. They assisted us promptly. Technician helped to fix our room telephone and carry our baggage. Everything went perfectly well and this had contributed to our great time in Ninh Binh.

I'm not going to lie, when we first checked in here I was extremely skeptical as our initial room was not up to par. After going back and forth with my Husband on whether or not to move to another spot we decided to give it a chance and asked to switch rooms instead. The Woman (I am so sad/sorry I did not get her name and will lovingly refer to her as Boss Lady) at the desk heard our concerns and immediately got us switched over to another room that was WAY better. Long story short, out of our 2 weeks in Vietnam (luxury hotels and otherwise) I think this was our favorite stay. Our best breakfast in Vietnam was here. It was delicious and made me feel like it was made with love and that brightened my spirits. Boss Lady helped me make a perfect 2 day itinerary in the region and helped me avoid some pitfalls. She also recommended an amazing massage spot. I felt like she was a trusted friend. Boss Lady and her family made our stay magical. I booked this homestay after a recommendation from Lilly at Grand Hotel Du Lac in Hanoi. I'm so happy we took her advice. We loved this homestay and can't wait to return.

PPengguna TetamuOur arrival didn't go very well. The toilet didn't work and the manager immediately set to work to fix it but no success. So then he had to put us in the very last available room which was not as nice as what we booked. However, the next day we were given a new good room. Our booking included breakfast but no breakfast is served at the place. So he took us on a motorbike to a restaurant nearby where we were allowed to order a cheap brekfast. So don't book it with meals. Our main problem was that the manager guy spoke no English at all. You had to type your questions on his phone which translated it. That made you think twice before asking. Also he was always very serious, no smiles at all. But he did fix all the issues, so he is working hard. We actually wanted to book a room at Tam Coc FriendLY Homestay but somehow we booked this one by mistake. Even the taxi brought us to the wrong one, so beware of the difference! It is a little bit out of Tam Coc town, but very close to the Bich Dong Pagoda. There are a few Vietnames restaurants nearby, walking distance. The nice thing is that you can use the bikes for free. So we cycled to Tam Coc, Hang Mua and Trang An with the bikes provided. The homestay is on a side road, very quiet. It has a small swimming pool and there were kids in it enjoying it grately. The room is very large, the largest we had in Vietnam. It has AC, WiFi, fridge and kettle (bring your own supplies). The bathroom is also quite spacious but the shower goes all over it. The sink is outside the bathroom in the room, which was nice. Things were clean. We stayed here 3 days and once we knew how to operate (restaurants, bikes) we felt alright.

PPeiyiWe arranged private transport from Hanoi hotel to Hidden Charm and the transport was punctual (early in fact). Driver was focused and safe.
Check-in at Hidden Charm was a breeze, they served a citrusy warm drink that I enjoyed. Front desk customer service personnel were proactive in suggesting sightseeing spots at Ninh Binh when we asked for suggestions.
Breakfast buffet was pretty standard with western bread options and Asian pho, fried rice etc.
Location wise, Hidden Charm is very near the Tam Coc boat ticket booth and also offers bicycles for us to cycle to Mua Caves and where the Lying Dragon was. At the entrance to Mua Cave, there will be people trying to get you to park your bikes for a fee, typically 5k VND per bike but we found one close to entrance and charged 2k VND per bike.
Our room was at the 7th floor and comes with a expansive view. The bed was comfortable and not too soft. There was also a bath tub for me to enjoy.
At the end of trip, the hotel staff arranged for private transport to the Noi Bai airport at my request. Again, driver was early and ride was smooth. I enjoyed my stay at Hidden Charm and would recommend to anyone who wish to stay in a clean hotel with excellent service.

PPengguna TetamuA pleasant surprise in beautiful surroundings tucked away in the jungle. The room we had chosen had no air con (our choice as they as they do have rooms with Aircon) but the very friendly staff supplied us with 2 fans. The room and beds were clean. The staff were very friendly and help some. You can rent scooters and bicycles at very affordable prices. The food was good. Chez Boe is located only about 5 minuets ride from Mue Caves and Tam Coc. The river boats are about 15 minuets ride away, so the location is very central, yet you feel far away from all the noise of the modern world, with only the noise of Nature which makes it a great place to unwind. Can highly recommend staying here.
