Hotel Germania

Good B&B hotel. Good large room with comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast. Eggs were consistently nice. Other breakfast offerings pleasant. Quiet location. Perhaps could have had more types of fresh bread at breakfast and less buns. Didn't try sauna.

Very friendly staff. Excellent service. Superior double room very spacious even for us two who always take the kitchen sink on holiday. BR prices very reasonable for a hotel. Also an excellent location for the lake activities and also the cable car.

Wrong room type w/o view, even though one was reservede by phone! St Sylwester dinner not reserved despite preceeding 3 emails to enquire reserve and confirm. The sparkling water bottle, provided on the dinner table w/o request, was later charged at €5+, despite dinner costing €85 per person and wine some €35. Cold room walls especially not able to lean head and watch TV, even with pillow behind. Radiators not working. Hotel provided electric heater! TV being turned on and controlled by remote in neighbouring room, had to unplug, could not turn it off. Dining room staff w/o any knowledge of wines offered, even unable to read wine cart. Dining staff used bare hands to swipe breadcrumbs to prepare table for next guest. Sauna booked 3 weeks in advance was overbooked on the reserved day and was unavailable, the reception staff refused to adequately address the issue. Cleaning and dining staff, appear to be "guest workers" ie. cheap labor from Eastern Europe..... After midnight on Jan 1st, lakefront nearby was crowded with foreigners, guest workers, who cannot afford to celebrate NY Eve indoors. DON'T GO TO THIS HOTEL, unless you don't mind a series of disappointment.

All in all, a very good experience, from checking in on the day we arrived to when we left. However, two issues prevented me awarding this as an ‘excellent’ stay. They were 1) the original online line booking process was flawed whereby we couldn’t complete the credit card transaction online despite using perfectly valid cards, and 2) the evening meal service and quality of food on our first evening was distinctly average, and expensive for what was on offer! These two issues marred an otherwise enjoyable stay.

Perfekte zentrale Lage, wenige Minuten zu Fuss zum Bahnhof, zum Weihnachtsmarkt und zum Casino,freundliche Mitarbeiter, sehr schöne, top saubere Zimmer, vielfältiges Frühstücksbuffet,sehr schönes Ambiente sprich Wohlfühlfaktor vorhanden, Parkplatz und Tiefgarage direkt beim Hotel,

Ich wohne fast schon ein Jahrzeht in diesem Hotel, wenn ich in Bregenz bin. Es war und ist immer ein netter Empfang, auch nach dem Besitzerwechsel. Die Lage ist super, die Zimmer sind angenehm und das Personal freundlich. Nicht zu vergessen, das hervorragende Frühstück.
