As a young family we want to eat and go to bed. On New Years Eve our only meal option was an excruciating 4 hour marathon of food courses from 7:30 to 11:30. We were charged a mandatory €70 each on top of half board. No option. No discussion. Awful response. There was a 30-45 minute delay between each tiny course. We left around 10 pm having only had canapés and starter. Do not go over New Years Eve unless you want a very average meal at a hefty mandatory price

A little bit older hotel, but very nice. Great view on mountains, you can see Matterhorn, Small Matterhorn, Breithorn , all Aosta valley. The rooms are cozy, clean and taken care of every day. Breakfast buffet, large selection. Always fresh fruit and vegetables. The restaurant has a wide range of food, different food every day, appetizers in the form of a buffet, three-course menu, delicious food, nicely served. Helpful, pleasant staff, always smiling and cheerful. Fun all night ,rich program, live music, animation for children and adults, the best animation group I've ever experienced Roberto, Elisa, Aurora. Special thanks to all staff , we vere very happy here and we are coming next year for sure.

We had a great week here with a group of friends and our kids. Amazing location and the hotel is very comfortable and rooms kept spotlessly clean. Fantastic food with lots of choice and very friendly staff. Good entertainment program and and great games room with pool/ping pong/table football kept kids v happy. We would definitely return

Extremely good location, right on the mountain. The quality however is extremely poor. Worse than a youth hostel. The food quality was such a disappointment. The whole place is completely run done. The heat in our room was either freezing cold or steaming hot. Taking a shower was interesting. With just a bit more effort and small investment this could be great. It is a lost opportunity

Incredibly poorly maintained hotel, my room lacked thermostats on the elements, rock hard beds, such poor water pressure that it was barely possible to shower, the SPA facility was in abysmal condition, mold and generally bad. The food was well made but tasted exactly the same regardless of the dish. The staff was completely uninterested. The ONLY positive was good room cleaning.

The hotel is generally tired, the rooms are small and dark. The location is excellent and the food is ok. Hotel lacks any soundproofing so you hear guests in adjoining rooms and doors closing etc, Take earplugs! Good amount of choice and quantity but only average in quality. It’s first course was often pasta or similar and usually luke warm, not hot. Staff work hard and are very friendly and helpful. Prices are good considering you are on the mountain. Disappointed that even though we were half board we had to pay for water with our evening meal. We had to get a skimobile taxi down to catch our flight which the Hotel arranged, which was half an hour late. Other guests in front of us ended up missing their bus to the airport. Our skido taxi driver was rude and drove recklessly trying to make up time. I nearly fell off twice. The hotel needs to address this and the fact the ski rental shop opposite doesn’t open before the lifts open or after they close, meaning any visit to the shop looses you ski time. Both these businesses are vital to the enjoyment of staying at the hotel.

Yes, this is a ski in/out facility. That’s the only benefit. I I would not stay here again and instead recommend staying in a hotel in Cervinia and taking the gondola daily. Facilities are dirty, much of the staff is rude, and pricing is misleading. The ‘spa’ - Smells of mildew and is not well lit. But if you use a flashlight and look at the jacuzzi, you’ll see black scum around the water line and even the jet bubbles are black and brown. Then it makes sense they have such dim lighting. The sauna has an odor but overall usable. There isn’t a proper place to change though there is a little nook with a sliding door. However, if staff catches you using the door, you will be scolded because it is ‘not for touching’. The main entrance to the ‘spa’ room is not locked nor managed by an attendant. Anyone (of any age and of any gender) can come in at any time. The elevator - Some days there was a paper sign on the door saying ‘2 people only’. Inside the elevator, above the door, there is a sign that says 3 (written in pen) people max. Above the buttons inside the elevator, is a plaque that says 4 people maximum. It turns out, if more than 2 people are in the elevator it has a significant risk of getting stuck. The staff - Front desk gentleman and woman were friendly and did their best to accommodate. They were also helpful with answering questions. The males that work in the kitchen area were friendliest. Two young women typically looked terrified, angry, and about to cry. The woman in charge of the kitchen was petty, arrogant, and unpleasant to be around. Her name was Maria (I would advocate for her to be removed from the service industry). The ambiance and area - Because the hotel is ski in/out, the couple bars and restaurants close by 5pm daily along with the ski lift. At this time, you become quite literally trapped in the hotel. The rooms are very cramped and feel old and dusty. It’s not a place you’ll want to hang out in the evening. The lobby has seating area, but the sofas were very low to the ground and not comfortable. There is a TV room, the sofas there were equally low, very worn and sunk in, and the fabric belonged in your great grandmothers attic. So between 5pm and sleeping… you’ll have plenty of time to regret not having stayed in Cervinia instead.

Abbiamo prenotato senza leggere le recensioni (errore che mai più ripeterò!!), solo spinti dall’idea di essere sulle piste da sci. E quello è veramente l’unico lato positivo dell’hotel… ma non si può pagare 280€ a notte per soggiornare in una strutta vecchia, mal tenuta e con un’offerta di cucina praticamente “da mensa” o self-service! So che ci sono camere rinnovate, ma a noi è capitata una camera non ristrutturata, con piastrelle del bagno rotte/crepate, il rivestimento di sughero del bagno mancante in alcuni punti, una sedia in camera, alla piccola scrivania, che sembrava sfondata e con il tessuto rotto, la coperta del letto che probabilmente era pulita, ma così vecchia che non dava certo quell’idea. Per non parlare della moquette al piano delle scale, sporca, lisa, rotta, piena di polvere… fili che uscivano dal muro, router appesi al soffitto… Dispiace scrivere tutto ciò perché la posizione è unica e il personale gentile e disponibile… ma dovrebbero veramente chiudere, sistemare l’intera struttura e poi riaprire un minimo rinnovati e ripuliti!! Nonostante la posizione, non ho intenzione di tornare!

…la media fa 3* come appunto si qualifica l’hotel, ma il problema sta proprio nella distanza siderale tra i prezzi (abbiamo pagato quasi 400 euro per due adulti e una bimba per una notte, compreso trasporto) e qualità di tutto (struttura vecchia, camere fatiscenti, zone comuni ristrutturate modo discutibile….). Eravamo preparati avendo letto le recensioni ma la realtà ha superato l’immaginazione….

Siamo tornati al Lo Stambecco hotel dopo 35 anni e devo dire che ho apprezzato il restyling di alcune zone e di alcune camere. Ho avuto un disguido per l'assegnazione della camera prontamente risolto grazie alla disponibilità e professionalità del sig. Riccardo e del suo staff della reception. Posizione eccellente per chi ama sciare e comodo per fare una sosta a pranzo senza fermarsi nei rifugi pieni di gente. Cena squisita con servizio al tavolo e con la possibilità di scegliere altro al self service molto fornito per non parlare della colazione abbondante con una varietà di dolci invidiabile. Personale gentilissimo e disponibile a soddisfare ogni nostra richiesta. Comodo l'acquisto dello skipass direttamente in hotel. Un consiglio spassionato: prima di assegnare le camere ogni volta farei un controllo accurato circa la funzionalità dei servizi forniti .Magari cose di poco conto che sommate possono dare fastidio. Il parcheggio sotto la funivia dovrebbe avere una tariffa agevolata con l'hotel perchè è evidente che la clientela, arrivando carica di bagagli ,ha la necessita di usufruirne. CONSIGLIATO.

Hotel a 2500 mt di altitudine, raggiungibile solo in funivia (gratuita per gli ospiti!!!!), in inverno direttamente sulle piste da sci, in estate direttamente sui sentieri da percorrere a piedi o in MTB. La struttura è decisamente datata ( anche se in via di ristrutturazione), di conseguenza lo sono anche le camere che spartane ma pulitissime ( complimenti alle gentilissime signore addette al servizio). La vista sul Cervino e la tranquillità serale però sono impagabili. Il titolare e i suoi collaboratori sono simpaticissimi, gentili e molto disponibili (a noi hanno risolto all'istante alcuni problemi con la camera) e ti fanno sentire a casa. Unica nota dolente, la cucina abbastanza scadente.

Salvo lo stupendo panorama ... Hotel raggiungibile SOLO con funivia. Attenzione: se usufruisci di un cofanetto smartbox, non sono indicati nè gli orari di check in e check out nè soprattutto orario chiusura funivia: 16,30 ! NB: Questa informazione non ti viene comunicata dal personale dell' hotel e così, se la perdi come è capitato a noi, ti vengono a recuperare con un pick up. Considerando la location, pensavamo che questo servizio fosse gratuito come la tratta Cervinia-hotel hotel-Cervinia per gli ospiti dell’hotel. E invece, sorpresa delle sorprese, al momento del pagamento, ci hanno addebitato 60,00 Euro per servizio pick up - pari a 20,00 Euro a persona. Non è esposto NESSUN listino prezzi dei servizi offerti dall' hotel Stanza 202 DA EVITARE

Una esperienza da non ripetere. Ho dato due stelle su cinque e non una sola perché il personale è gentile e cordiale e si é reso disponibile ad offrire uno sconto per compensare il pessimo servizio. Anche l'animazione buona. Il cibo è buono e la scelta é piuttosto ampia per quanto riguarda il buffet mentre il menù a la carte é ridicolo. I camerieri ed il servizio sono di pessimo livello. Buono l'aperitivo. La struttura é disastrosa e necessiterebbe ampia ristrutturazione. Ho pernottato qui in alta stagione ma il prezzo è stato esorbitante rispetto alla qualità della struttura fatiscente. La sala giochi ha molte attrazioni ma tutte rotte e mal tenute, la sala intrattenimento ha poltrone semi-distrutte coperte da copridivano macchiati e di un'altra epoca. Le poltrone della hall sono mezze tagliate sebbene la hall sia la migliore sala tra tutte. Nella hall c'è una piccola esposizione di abbigliamento da montagna. Prezzi inavvicinabili e ingiustificati. I capi esposti erano macchiati. La camera da letto era distrutta: la porta non si chiudeva e ogni volta che la aprivamo cadeva l'intero blocco della serratura. Il piatto della doccia era completamente ingiallito e sporco. La tenda della doccia sporchissima. L'armadio era inutilizzabile perché rotto e sporco all'interno. I letti scomodissimi avevano parecchie molle rotte e delle luci della stanza la metà non funzionava. La lampada sul comodino era rotta. Una finestra non aveva le imposte e al mattino ci svegliavamo prestissimo. In camera la temperatura era tropicale e dovevamo tenere una finestra aperta: assurdo in un periodo in cui tutti sono cosí attenti agli sprechi e all'ambiente. La moquette va assolutamente cambiata: sporchissima e tutta macchiata. Una nota positiva va agli animatori e i ragazzi della reception e del bar, disponibili e gentili. É un vero peccato che questa struttura sia così trascurata perché il potenziale sarebbe altissimo considerata anche l'ottima posizione, letteralmente sulle piste.

Nella mia vita non ho mai scritto una recensione, se mi è capitato in passato di trovarmi male in qualche situazione/posto semplicemente non ci sono più andata. Ma questa volta non posso esimermi dal farlo. Ho prenotato questo hotel tramite una smartbox che mi è stata regalata nel 2022, e ho deciso di usufruirne quest’anno, per gli UNICI 3 giorni di ferie che ho durante tutto l’anno. Avrei dovuto alloggiare il 24/25/26 luglio. 2 notti. Innanzitutto l’hotel è raggiungibile solo ed esclusivamente tramite la funivia, che alle 16:30 chiude e a volte chiude senza preavviso causa vento. Al momento della prenotazione questa cosa non è stata specificata però anche colpa mia che non l’ho chiesta dandola per scontata, di questo mi accollo io la colpa, ma nonostante tutto, questo vincolo per me non sarebbe stato un problema. Punto forte, la funivia è gratuita per la tratta Cervinia-hotel hotel-Cervinia per gli ospiti dell’hotel. Prendo la funivia, salgo, e vedo la struttura da fuori, fatiscente, tenuta malissimo, con pezzi di cemento che cadono, pezzi di mattoni per terra, pezzi di tubi marci, plastica da lavori murari, pezzi di ferro, scale antincendio tutte sgangherate… ecc ecc Entrando nell’hotel, la hall carina, rimasta un po’ indietro nel tempo ma a me personalmente piace. Il percorso per andare alle camere, dove c’è il calcio balilla e il Ping pong, è veramente messo male… hanno posato il laminato sopra la moquette (che secondo me è da lì che arriva tutta la puzza che vi descriverò sotto) veramente in malo modo, questo laminato continua per i pianerottoli delle scale, senza neanche arrivare contro al battiscopa, dal quale si scorge ancora la moquette. Stanza 202, manco si leggeva il numero della stanza talmente la targhetta del numero attaccata alla porta era consumata. Una camera che sembrava un loculo, mai vista una stanza così piccola. Una puzza assurda. Tutto l’hotel puzzava. Il piano terra, avere un odore di cibo acre. Lungo le scale odore di umidità/muffa e nella stanza non saprei descrivere l’odore stantio che c’era… mai sentita una puzza così in nessun hotel che sono stata! Avrei potuto sorvolare su tutto quello che ho descritto sopra poiché sarei stata lì soltanto due giorni. Ma la cosa che mi ha fatto andare via una notte prima è stato trovare un ASCIUGAMANO SPORCO DI ROSSETTO E SPORCO DI FECI!!! Ho fatto le foto e se me le fa caricare le allego. L’unica notte che sono stata lì, sia a me che mio marito si è ostruito il naso per via dei turbinati, poiché soffriamo di allergie alla polvere, ma ci capita raramente di stare male, quella notte lì non abbiamo dormito niente! Non si riusciva a respirare. C’era solo una portafinestra ma non si poteva tenere aperta perché dava direttamente sulle scale antincendio e in un balcone/passerella dove ovviamente c’era altra gente e quindi per paura che qualcuno entrasse in piena notte l’abbiamo per lo più tenuta chiusa.
