"My daughter and I loved The Old Ship Hotel. The location was perfect, the beach is just over the road, the Pier was a few minutes walk away and the shops are basically just round the corner. Our room (a twin room) was bigger than I expected. Tea and coffee with a kettle was great as I was gasping for a cuppa when we arrived. They even supplied ear plugs because it can be a little bit noisey at night (this was mainly from the large hotel opposite). Quite a large bathroom, with a bath and shower, and complimentary shower gel, shampoo and soap. The room was clean and no dodgy smells. There was a fan, but we didn't need it, the partially open window was enough. We didn't ask for a room with a sea view, but it could be seen if you looked to the right. We were on the 3rd floor and there is nothing wrong with the lift (ignore other reviews). Breakfast was great, a decent selection to suit everyone. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant one night; it was amazing! A decent price too. There was loads of seating on the ground floor. The bar was great too. We needed to store our luggage before and after and it was stored securely, with a numbered tag, only staff could access it (unlike a different hotel nearby that simply left your luggage near the reception desk for anyone to access). Considering the low price we paid, the hotel truly was amazing. Lovely staff, clean everywhere, big rooms, great food, fantastic location, what more could you ask for! I will be booking again next year. My mum could easily come with us, she uses a walker, and the hotel would definitely be suitable for a less able person."

"Was nice hotel to stay at and the staff were friendly and helpful,it's not suitable for people who find stairs a problem as I don't think it has a lift,my window rattled when it was windy but I think it is an old building,had problem with my lock which they said they would get on to it,would stay there again if I visit Brighton again also it's close to the seafront all in all a pleasant place to spend a night or two in."

"My kids and I had a wonderful stay at Leonardo Hotel Brighton. From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The service was outstanding, and everyone was welcoming and professional. A special thank you to Simona at reception. She was incredibly friendly, kind, and helpful. Her warm attitude really made a difference to our experience. My children had a lovely time, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a great location, just a few minutes' walk from Brighton railway station and bus stops. The beach is around a 20–25 minute walk away, which we didn't mind at all. Another lovely surprise was the beautiful green walking trail behind the hotel. If you enjoy nature and peaceful walks, it's definitely worth exploring. Overall, we had an amazing experience and would happily stay here again. Thank you to the whole team, especially Simona, for making our trip so memorable!"

"A stay with my adult daughter for passing her Degree. Her 1st time in Brighton. At a lucky request gave me a partial sea view which was in fact excellent large room, comfy bed a with a gorgeous bay with full view sun. All staff were attentive, friendly and inclusive. There’s a real charm and nostalgic atmosphere about the old building that is on the beach front enabling Breakfast to see the sea. The only reason I have not given a 5 star 🌟 is due to some signs of wear and tear / dated chairs although they were comfy and snug. Thanks to all Queens staff we will be back"

"Before I even arrived at the hotel I was called by the receptionist asking when I’d arrive, and reminding me that the reception closes at 11pm, which I thought was lovely. The hotel is in a lovely location, literally right next to the sea!! Town centre is a 10/15 min walk away, and the room is clean, got the basics and everything you need! Wish it had air con because it gets hot at night in the summer months and also a hairdryer but can’t complain, the staff were friendly and attentive and I would stay there again. Thank you!"

"I saw that this hotel clearly stated that there is a public parking lot nearby, but the parking space really disappointed me. It was very far from our hotel, and we had to go up and down stairs. It was very inconvenient to carry luggage. I will definitely not choose here again next time. The hotel did not provide a parking solution, and I couldn't get help when I asked the front desk, which made me feel very disappointed. When I looked at the pictures I thought it would be a cozy environment, but the lighting was disappointingly dark and I couldn't really enjoy my stay."
