Room doesn’t get aired much and can get stale. Cleanliness is ok. Common area is average. Place feels a little worn down but great location

Living in a two-bed room, clean and tidy. Under flight path with a few planes unexpectedly flown too low altitude and I saw the engine in no distance. Shocking sight and Dolby studio sound from engine.

Everything ok. Will back again. Easy go too near Coles. Can buy anythings there. Good place.

Hello! I'm making great memories at my first accommodation in Australia. Thanks to you, my trip started off wonderfully. Also, I feel bad that I answered "no" to the question about service quality during checkout due to my poor English. It was a truly wonderful place, and I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Brisbane! Thank you for your kind service!!

The room was a bit messy, the girls were not very good at tidying up, the bed sheets felt very old, and I didn't know whether they were disinfected. The hotel service was still very enthusiastic. It was an experience different from staying in a big hotel. There was a lively atmosphere. It was basically full of young people and full of energy. It was much more interesting than staying quietly in a hotel alone. In short, it was still worth experiencing.

There is a swimming pool and various outdoor spaces, so it's great. If you want to make friends, I recommend this place~!~! The staff is also friendly The room wasn't ventilated and the bed was a bit shaky.

Booked this for a friend, who reported poor hygiene, unchanged bedding in the room, mixed staff, almost no service. The price-performance ratio is hard to describe, strongly not recommended!

Breakfast is not included, so it is not suitable for bringing children. The location is convenient for buses and subways. The front desk service is warm and thoughtful, and you can use a translator to communicate even if you don't speak English. There is plenty of hot water for bathing.

We only stayed in this hostel for the night, but wouldn't stay here again. Once we found the car park (after helpful directions from the staff), we couldn't park our car in the one space that was left, partially due to having quite a big car but partially due to the terrible parking of the other cars in such a tight car park. It's nice to have parking as an option for a city hostel, but wouldn't recommend if you have a big car. To be fair, the staff were helpful and let us park in the disabled space as other cars had made it too difficult to park in. The location of the hostel felt really dodgy. Lots of drunk/homeless people outside when we arrived at about 6pm. The private bedroom was fine but the beds were so solid we couldn't get comfortable. We heard noise all through the night as we were close to the bathroom but also people running and shouting with no consideration for those who wanted to sleep. The shower took literally 10 minutes to warm up and came out in a dribble. The bathrooms weren't clean and I just think the whole hostel needs a refurb as it felt very outdated and grubby. I can't fault the staff, but the hostel itself is just not the nicest to stay in. Maybe if you just need to crash for the night like we did, but I wouldn't stay any longer than that.

City Backpackers HQ is the best hostel I’ve stayed in. Super social but still relaxed. The rooftop view is a huge bonus, and the café downstairs serves amazing coffee. Aaron and his team are absolute legends – approachable, professional, and always ready to help.

Absolutely loved my stay at City Backpackers HQ! The manager was incredibly welcoming and the whole team went out of their way to make sure everyone felt at home. The rooftop view of Brisbane is stunning, especially at sunset. Shoutout to the café – easily the best coffee I’ve had at any hostel. Super clean, great vibe, and a perfect location. I’ll definitely be back!

Great place to stay in Brisbane. Friendly staff and very welcoming. Amenities and rooms are always clean. Check in and out easy and quick. Atmosphere around the place is always happy and fun, creating a great vibe for the stay. Location is fantastic, only a quick walk to shops, restaurants and Suncorp stadium. Will be back for future stays.
