The lobby smelt clean however our room and floor level smelt terribly of garbage. These are self serviced apartments so don’t expect to have your room cleaned daily! Or new clean towels or your bed made. A very aged hotel and the room had little natural light. For the price they really should be able to get a steam cleaner out and replace some things. Pile of dust & mould in the bedroom, fry pan unusable, bin was not empty on arrival, very old wool blankets on the bed which included a cigarette burn hole! The rooms are mostly clean however the carpet was grotty with several large stains. One-bedroom apartment with an extra small room is definitely useless. Car park fee $35 per night is costly.

My biggest gripe is that it was hard to check in after hours. There was intercom that didnt seem to work- just arrived on international and phone didnt work . Luckily somebody went past who was able to help me. Also i found all the messages about fines for losing key cards and a host of other things a little unwelcoming. besides all that the room was fine and well equipped.

The Staff were exceptionally helpful. Ask for local advice on eateries, and interests; we were well-rewarded. Location is a key here....We were 'moving fast' to accomplish a '48 hours in Brisbane' challange inbetween flights & this fully-serviced property allowed us to do laundry and get about in the city's center...

This was our first stay at the Macarthur Chambers Hotel in Brisbane, and wow what a room we had, Probably the most spacious apartment room we have stayed at in Brisbane, and I’ve stayed at a few hotels over the years, Everything you could ever want is included, a fantastic fitted kitchen, spacious lounge, two large bedrooms both with en-suites, and a separate study, and we found the apartment clean and tidy on arrival, The hotel is situated in a shopping complex that also has Apple Store, and a woolworths for convenience of getting groceries, We throughly enjoyed our stay, and we will definitely be making this our sought after accommodation next time we come over to Australia and head for Brisbane, Cannot fault the place,

Stayed with a mate as we wanted a convenient place to crash after a concert gig. The room was as advertised; clean and functional. Basic and possibly a tad dated, but definitely cannot complain about the price. The staff at reception allowed us to check-in half an hour early and were helpful later when we requested more toilet paper. The beds were clean and comfortable. The room and bathroom were well presented and clean. Airconditioning was great with no odd smells. The TV was massive and with some tinkering we were able to access Netflix etc. The windows only had a view of the opposite building. Blinds blocked out morning light. The mini-fridge came with a small selection of drinks at standard prices. Two complimentary waters were provided. The room had a kettle with complimentary tea and coffee and some biscuits. We had breakfast at the restaurant on the ground floor and were very impressed. If you're staying here definitely visit the restaurant. I don't really have any negative things to say and would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting budget accommodation in the CBD.

Lokasinya sangat bagus, terdapat banyak tapak pembinaan di sekitarnya, tetapi tidak bising kerana kalis bunyi itu bagus
Dan peralatan dapur dan perkakas mempunyai stok yang baik, jadi elok digunakan
Yang paling penting, saya menyukainya kerana ia bersih.
Rasanya bilik itu besar dan ruangan itu terpisah dari ruang tamu dan dapur.
Air suam keluar dengan baik
Sekiranya cuaca tidak sejuk di balkoni, rasanya senang duduk dan makan tengah hari dan minum kopi.
Senang dapat mencuci pakaian
Kelemahannya adalah bahawa udara di dalam bilik agak sejuk, jadi anda mendapat sedikit hidung berair pada musim sejuk ??

I want to say a special Thank You to Rafael who makes me feel welcomed. His smile is always authentic and warm, making me truly a guest and not worried about being first time to Australia. So, he is a genuine asset of the hostel. Besides, check in and check out are super fast and efficient.
The bathroom is very clean and spacious. There is hot water in the basins with hand wash provided. Above the basin is a very big mirror, so you can do make-up in the bathroom. The shower's water pressure is high enough, and you can move the shower head freely. So, it's perfect for backpackers who want to take a good shower and refresh themselves.
In the room, there are 2 electrical outlets on the bedside. So it's very convenient for charging your phone and using your laptop on the bed.

Chosen for the location and boy, that was spot on. So central to transport links, shops and the river, it's ideal if tou want to explore. The rooms are so big! Chose a two bedroomed apartment for three of us that was huge for a city centre hotel. Good kitchen, washing and drying facilities and big lounge area. Reception were outstandingly polite and helpful, and a previous reviewer commented on the peace that envelops you as you enter, which is a relief from the hustle and bustle of the city. Just be aware that it is an old building. Hence, when your next-door neighbour turns on the shower, there can be some interesting noise from the pipework. Also, you are in a city centre and I was surprised to wake at 0200hrs ro the sound of a CCTV camera announcing to whoever was shouting and screaming in the street that they were being recorded- very C3PO!

PPengguna TetamuWhilst our stay in the Hotel X Suite was pleasant, there was nothing memorable about it. The suite was spacious, fitted with modern conveniences (ie. electric blockout curtains, Dyson hairdryer, zip tap and smart tv) and was generally comfortable. Unfortunately, the bathroom lacked privacy as it overlooked the street and directly faced another building across the road so the blinds were always drawn preventing natural light from coming in. Also, there is no separate toilet with lockable door. Although, the toiletries were nice and the shower quite spacious. Service was friendly but lacked a personal touch. Breakfast at Bisou Bisou had a limited menu but the food was overall good. The rooftop bar (Iris) had great views, a good tapas menu and relaxing vibe. The location of the hotel is convenient, within walking distance of the buzzing James Street precinct and a short car ride to the city centre.

PPengguna TetamuStayed as family of four (teenagers) in one bedroom suite. Got early checkin and late checkout on Friday night which was great. There's no view in the room but wasn't much of an issue. The pool was great, but the swim up bar wasn't open on Friday, despite the homepage saying it is. It was open on Saturday but we were getting ready to checkout so really wasn't in the drinking phase. The executive lounge had good choice of food and drinks. They only had beers and wines so no spirits, even basics. The rooms were spacious. The bathroom door wouldn't close properly and there was no lock which was bit inconvenient. The sofa bed was bit small for 2 ppl and the king bed was very spacious. Overall it was great hotel for an overnight stay as family. Would highly recommend

This hotel is stunning. The staff at check in & out were super friendly. Room was modern, very clean and the bed was huge & extremely comfortable. Close to shops, restaurants. Public transport and the city. Highly recommend this hotel. We stayed in the deluxe room on level 1. Only let down is, there is no restaurant at the hotel so no breakfast room service.

PPengguna TetamuWe stayed here the night before leaving on a cruise that was leaving from the International Cruise Terminal. The main reason we chose this hotel was its close proximity to Roma Street Station as we caught the train from the airport. While it is close to the train station it is located at the top of a reasonable hill and it took a bit of effort to navigate the way to the top, apart from the effort. Several escalators/lifts and then a steep path with no real directions on which way to go. I thought I would be able to see the hotel to give me an idea which way but had to resort to Google Maps to find the way. Unfortunately we were on an early flight into Brisbane so as it was 09:30AM I was not expecting our room to be ready but just needed to store our bags so we good do some exploring. As expected, our room was not ready but the guy behind the counter checked me in, stored our bags and advised that the hotel was busy and our room would not be ready until about 02:00PM. No worries we will be back. We arrived back at 01:00PM and our room was still not ready and waited in the foyer till 02:00PM as previously discussed. Reception gave me our keys and we proceeded to our room on Level 1, or so I thought……..room card would not let me use the lift. Back to reception to have the card re-coded. On entry to our room, it was reasonably spacious and looked clean and reasonably comfortable. Décor a bit dated, but functional. We had a rather large balcony but we could not use it as there was no furniture so the balcony was wasted. Bathroom was small but functional, bit dated but appeared clean. It was only after we used the toilet several times that we noticed water on the floor. We ignored it for quite a while as we thought we had spilt water on the floor but it was not till the next morning that I realised it was coming from under the toilet. I reported it to reception on checkout. As we were tired from our early start we chose to order room service. While we knew how much it was going to cost it was very expensive. Two hamburgers and chips over $70. A bit steep, but as we were so tired we paid so we did not have to go out. The hamburgers were good by the way, but still way too expensive. Overall, this hotel was OK, but the room was supposed to be a superior room. OK. I would hate to be in a Standard Room………..as the room was pretty average for a Superior. After reading some of the other reviews the price we paid was fair and the location is good, just not when you have to push two big suitcases that we were taking on a cruise up the hill from the station. PS. It cost us $73 in the taxi to get to the Cruise Terminal.

1194HeatherM194Stayed here for a couple of months for work nearby. Had a great reception from staff. very friendly, helpful and inviting. Which remained throughout my visit, nothing was too much trouble, always helpful. Room was perfect, city skyline view at night from the balcony was great. Room facilities gave me all I needed for cooking and storage. Cleanliness was outstanding across whole property. Car parking secure. I love early morning walks and this was an easy stretch to the river for exercise. I think they even ordered perfect weather for me. Great hotel, well done 😊

Bad points- No manned reception, was advised 3 hours before arrival must precheck in or will be denied a room after I fully paid for all rooms are pin only. I don’t have a problem great idea. The beds are one of the worst I’ve ever slept in. I travel to some of the worst places and there are beds better then these the main bed springs felt like they were breaking through the bed every turn was the noisiest would wake everyone in the room. The mattress felt over 30 years old worn and like you would fall through it. Great grandmas mattress is better The single bed was better but 4 people can sleep in one comfortable bed No extra pillows or blankets The floor had not been vacuumed all stuff in one area of the floor - room smelt clean (spritz spray) Dust everywhere, bugs in the room and holes in the bath towels. Mould in the shower all over the door The bathroom door had to be opened and closed with force Curtains have marks all over them not clean Aircon was particularly broken more cosmetic looks, chilled amazingly The room is right next to a main door everyone that comes in or out - slams the door all hours No soft closing hinge would be good if there was one wouldn’t be woken up with the slam every-time no Foxtel - no one made up your room like other motels the next day (no big deal just an fyi) When I arrived I had a toddler, child and 2 large bags and asked if there was lifts the staff lol and said the stairs are there and stayed sitting on the ground. I walked up the exit car park ramp with all bags and children ( no I’m not precious just not convenient) Holes in the wall in the main room near dining table Holes in walls in the bathroom Good points…. Great price Great location walking distance to Hamilton precinct IGA, Woolworths metro, lots of eateries and Eat St (amazing place of all types of food vans) Great distance walking distance to the ferries Out dates Furniture looked like it was from the 1970s (I don’t have an issue just an FYI) A little bar fridge with separate freezer was amazingly cold I wouldn’t rate this place 3.5/4 stars maybe 2.5-3 disappointed but you get what you pay for. I have some photos for proof of asked to supply .
