I stayed at Capsules first which were really comfy, squeaky sometimes though which was the only issue other than that good, there are air cons inside of them, usb charging stations, different sets of neon lights, etc. 2 rooms which are connected to each other, 4 capsules in each room, there was also a little balcony. Capsule rooms are typically quite and good to get some rest when super tired. Then, I moved to 8xbed dorm which wasn't too bad, can be a bit disgusting though sometimes depending on who you stay with, I mean when they spray the F* out of the room with their cheap sh*t-smelling deodorant - you have to breathe! Breeeathe! Other than that you get what you pay for pretty much, it was like 120 bucks a week (end-2021 price). There is a balcony, a much better one than the one in the capsule room, there is also a shower and toilet. Obviously, not much of a privacy as you'd inevitably see and hear everything what's happening in the room, for more privacy - capsules or private rooms which are super-expensive if you're a traveller or student!
Hotel Chino

We had to find an apartment to stay for a couple of weeks while our house had some work done to it. I am so glad that I canned Airbnb and looked around the brisbane area and found Hotel Chino. Reasonably priced, well located, restaurant on site, EXCELLENT staff (so helpful, friendly). We had a 2 bedroom apartment and it was spacious, clean, neat and had all the required amenities and supplies. If we needed something, Woolworths is literally a couple 100m down the road. I also loved the on-site parking. I recommend this hotel for anyone, but especially family! Highly recommend

The room was clean and tidy . It was everything we needed for a two week hospital visit for cancer . 5 minute walk to the PAH and grocery shop. So very convenient. Unfortunately the road noise was our only gripe . We are country people and the major highway with cars truck’s helicopters 🚁 ambulances etc took some getting use to . I tried the ear plugs provided but didn’t help much . Next time I will pay extra for a room positioned at the back away from the highway. My favourite part was Vend a market place and coffee shop on Brisbane street. One minute walk away and they have great home made juices .

Stayed here for 7 nights at the beginning of April. Check in was quick and although we requested a quiet room, we were sadly given a room that faced onto a road and the helipad of the children’s hospital. So, the room was rather noisy from the traffic and from helicopter landing and taking off at night. Even with ear plugs on I could still hear the traffic. Room: Room 714 was very clean, it seems the Australian standards of cleanliness is much higher and better than at our previous Marriott stays in Cardiff, Wales and in Edinburgh, Scotland. Housekeeping at this hotel is very thorough at cleaning, as we didn’t feel any dust on the surfaces. My partner is blind and the first thing he does is touch the surfaces to get to know the layout of the room and he was impressed that tables, chairs & walls didn’t feel dusty. The housekeeping ladies always provided us with fresh towels and 2 bottles of water daily, as well as change the bed linen when requested. These ladies (day as well as evening housekeeping) are all lovely and friendly, requests for extra toilet paper, tissues, even slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste were promptly supplied with a smile. The housekeeping team at this hotel should be commended for keeping rooms/bathroom clean to a high standard. Reception: The ladies at reception Jess and other lady (who doesn’t wear a name badge) are efficient when checking people in however, they were not so friendly once you’ve checked in, they both came across as cold, sourpusses. Every day we went past reception and these 2 ladies never smiled or said hello. Once we initiated a hello and got a forced response. The male reception staff at night and on the days when the ladies were off are much better as they always greeted people as they walked past reception. Location: This hotel is perfectly located as it is close to all the restaurants in the Southbank and there’s lots to choose from. It is also about 2 mins walk to Goodwill bridge which connects to the Botanical Gardens. From this hotel everything is within walking distance, we walked to Queen Street shopping mall daily and it took us about 10 mins via Southbank parklands and crossing the bridge. We are not super fast walkers but we found everything in close proximity to this hotel. We will definitely stay at this hotel again when we return to Australia next year.

Firstly the good, the apartment was nice and spacious with clean and modern furnishings. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the parking was convenient and safe. The rooftop pool and spa was very much appreciated and the rooftop area was well kept with bbq facilities and outdoor tables and chairs. The pool was very well maintained. Now the not so good. The hotel was situated between 3 freeways meaning the noise was deafening. I could not make use of the balcony as the rd noise was unbearable. I do not think that any of the rooms would not be noisy. Also, there was rd works outside and they were working on that at night. The hallways and lifts were very tired and smelt constantly of cheap horrible air freshener. There was not much of any interest within walking distance so you definately need a car. The kitchen was sadly lacking in utensils, no nonstick frypan, oven trays, oven mits or cooking tongs so really couldnt cook. Also no kitchen sponge was provided so couldnt wipe anything down. No microwave bowls either. They also do not provide hairdryers in the rooms. What hotel doesnt provide hairdryers?I travel a lot for work and I have never not had a hairdryer provided. The front desk staff did find me one however. The tiled floor really needed a good mop, it was sticky and dirty. I would not stay again.
