Have just returned from a 2 night stay for our friends birthday. On arrival the car parking space sign wished him a birthday which was a nice touch. Once in the hotel we were taken into the snug for coffee & cake which was nice. We then were shown to our rooms. They were lovely with amazing wooden bedsteads & headboards which are sourced/made locally. The room/ bathroom was spotlessly clean & you had everything you could need. Breakfast was lovely with lots of different options. On our friends birthday the lovely lady serving played Congratulations by Cliff Richard & we ended up having a bit of a sing song! Lol. Maurizio was a fantastic host & very informative. The rest of the staff were great too. My only small criticism is that it would be nice if the wood burner was lit in the snug as it was a bit chilly & would temp you to stay longer. I would definitely recommend staying here as it’s a little gem. Will definitely be back!

My husband and I stayed here for my birthday celebrations. What can I say. This little gem is truly amazing. From the personalised free parking space, to Maurizio the owner who was very welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed fresh coffee and cake upon arrival. This hotel has a beautiful atmosphere and is well located in the village, walking distance to the train station and The New Forest on the doorstep. We were upgraded to the Brusher Mills room, as it was my birthday by a lovely lady called Jackie. The room had a four poster bed made from amazing wood which I believe was locally sourced and made. It was very comfortable with good quality toiletries in the bathroom. The breakfast was absolutely delicious with lots of choices. You were totally spoiled. We were lucky with the weather and went on long walks. I would definitely recommend this little gem of a place.

Have stayed at the Cottage Lodge Hotel on a number of occasions now and each time we visit we get a great welcome, great food, great service and great rooms as have tried most of them by now. Its location is ideal for easy access to the New Forest walks and for Brockenhurst railway station. A great breakfast sets you up for an active day ahead.

One of the nicest hotels we have visited. It was good to have a personalised parking space and a warm welcome from Maurizio with tea and cake. Our room was very clean with everything you need,a comfortable bed and larger bathroom than many we have stayed in. The Breakfast was beautifully cooked with plenty of variety and served quickly. Staff were all welcoming and nothing too much trouble. This is the perfect place to stay to explore the New Forest

Stayed 8 nights and enjoyed every minute. Great team of staff who provide outstanding service to make sure guests are comfortable. Perfect location to walk to train, restaurants and shops. Easy walk from hotel directly to New Forest paths. Delicious breakfast with many options including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free. White Tails Restaurant is on-site and serves delicious meals with great service from Ramsey, owner. Highly recommend!

Room was very clean and staff attentive. Double glazed windows needed replacing - all were blown. Wash basin needs replacing serious cracks through the whole basin . Towels weren’t very impressive. This isn’t really a hotel - there is food available through a third party which was adequate but unimpressive. A tiny honesty bar in a very small room. If you are looking for hotel facilities don’t stay here.

Stayed here for two nights, centrally positioned in the village. Hosts were extremely welcoming. Tea and cake on arrival was a nice personal touch. Room was clean and well furnished. Shower was excellent with very good water pressure. Breakfast choice was very good and the food very tasty. Excellent value for money. Would stay again.
