"It was a wonderful hotel. The location is also superb! The hotel interior was very beautiful, with a lovely atmosphere that evoked a sense of history and elegant decor. Just being in the hotel made me feel special. Being located along the river, the surrounding area has a great atmosphere, making it the perfect hotel for enjoying the city of Bruges. However, those arriving by car should be careful about the entrance to the hotel's parking lot! It's very narrow and quite difficult to enter. I was quite nervous, wondering, "Can I really get in?" (laughs). I think only small cars can fit, so be aware of that. Even with that, it was a wonderful hotel that I was glad I stayed at. If you're visiting Bruges, I would definitely recommend this hotel!"

"A very good experience; the hotel is small and exquisite. The bed was very comfortable, especially the bedding. Cleanliness was excellent, and the breakfast was plentiful. The fruit was large and fresh. The boiled eggs were particularly thoughtful, with separate 10-minute and 3.5-minute options. It was a very convenient short walk to the old town. The only problem was that they called to check out right at 11 am. I helped my elderly relatives pack their luggage, but then I couldn't open my own room door."

"The sign at reception states “this is not a Novotel” and this statement is very true. This hotel is a perfect antidote to the beige and soulless chain hotels. The surroundings are excellent, there is a wonderful communal area where families rub shoulders with couples and solo travellers with ease. Rooms were plenty spacious and clean, facilities are excellent - free coffee from a very nice Jura machine as well as a healthily stocked honesty bar which was very reasonably priced. Hosts were welcoming and present throughout the trip without impeding on space. The location is ideal for all the attractions of the historic centre. We will definitely return, maybe even with the children, a really great establishment."

"We stayed for one night in two charming canal-view rooms while visiting Bruges with my father, who has limited mobility and walks quite slowly. Although there are a few steps in and out of the hotel, he was still able to get around without too much difficulty. The rooms were clean and full of character. We were a little disappointed that our “canal view” rooms were on the ground floor, as we had hoped for a higher-floor view, but the setting was still lovely. For a four-star hotel, however, the room amenities were quite basic. There was no shampoo or conditioner provided. When we asked at reception, we were given shampoo, but conditioner wasn’t available. One positive was that we arrived very early (around 12:30 pm), and the young gentleman at reception kindly checked and found one room ready for us, which we really appreciated. I also asked two members of the reception staff for recommendations for good local restaurants for lunch and dinner. Unfortunately, the advice was simply to “go around the corner,” which wasn’t particularly helpful for anyone looking for quality local food. We eventually found Brasserie Forestière ourselves, which turned out to be excellent. It was also great to see the hotel’s commitment to sustainability. The room key was made from a non-plastic material rather than the usual plastic card, which was a thoughtful touch and something I really appreciated. The location is fantastic—quiet yet only a short walk from all the main sights. Breakfast was excellent, with a good selection, and my father especially enjoyed it. Overall, it’s a charming hotel in a beautiful location with comfortable rooms and a very good breakfast. A little more attention to in-room amenities and more personalised local recommendations from reception would have made the stay even better."
