Royal Astoria Hotel is in a pretty good location as city life becomes more populated, it's just about 20 minutes of drive from central Thamel,I enjoyed the food, and the a**osphere around the hotel is just perfect with a wonderful garden, The hotel staff are very friendly ..I highly recommend for Royal Astoria Hotel.

We had the pleasure of staying at this exceptional hotel for a total of 6 nights, and we couldn't be more thrilled with our experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff displayed an authentic and warm hospitality that made us feel truly at home. Their genuine friendliness and willingness to assist with every request went above and beyond our expectations. One of the highlights of our stay was the remarkable cleanliness and tranquility of our room. It was evident that great care was taken to ensure a pristine environment, allowing us to relax and unwind in utmost comfort. The icing on the cake was the superb internet reception, which allowed us to stay connected seamlessly throughout our stay. Our stay was punctuated by delightful mornings indulging in an exquisite breakfast spread. The puri or chapati and curry quickly became our favorites, perfectly complemented by the aromatic masala tea and the flavorful masala omelette – a true culinary delight! The hotel's al fresco dining experience was an absolute treat. The ambiance was charming, and the food left an indelible mark on our taste buds. With each meal, we explored a plethora of different dishes, each more tantalizing than the last. It's safe to say that the culinary offerings exceeded our expectations in every way. This made our visits to the stupa incredibly convenient and allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in its serene atmosphere. Jhapad,Rohit, Bikash, Nisto they are very kind and professional. They always checked if the food was okay and asked if he needed anything. Thank you for your care. Thanks to them, I was able to have a comfortable meal. I totally recommend the hotel breakfast restaurant.

Very friendly service at front desk. The best feature of this hotel is the lovely well maintained tranquil garden situated in the center of the building. It was a pleasure to sip a capuccino from the cafe situated next to the garden. Unbelievable for us having not visited Kathmandu in 20 years the arrival of good coffee A very short and interesting walk takes you to the bustle and noise of the Stupa. The room was adequate but like many rooms at this price point the only place to sit was on the bed. Our room had A/C but fortunately did not need it. The bathroom was clean but hot water only came intermittently during our stay. Management were helpful and always tried to fix the problem. Wifi likewise was a bit hit and miss. Sheets were were on the thin side but typical of hotels at this price point in Asia. Overall would recommend.

Room, location, service,food,breakfast,staff and name what you can and you will not find a fault or spot. Mind boggling is the world. Keep it up, Pramod is amazingly helpful, Vishal, Govinda at restaurant are amazing, Tansuhang at front office was more than helpful. House keeping is spot less. Well Done !

讓我驚喜的酒店 剛到酒店門口就看到美麗的小花園 工作人員都很熱情 進房間聞到一股檸檬香 床上很乾凈 花園裡面會放愜意的音樂 地段非常好 就在泰米爾街裏面 隨意散步走走 可以走到杜巴廣場看日落；酒店在小巷子裏 鬧中取靜 車子又可以開進去 很方便 出門左轉一百米有天津鍋貼 酒店早餐很豐富 而且是當地特色 去博卡拉的大巴車的車票也是找前台買的 總之 非常滿意

Was able to make a video. Cannot post that one on Trip app. For this trip to Nepal, I had a driver scheduled ahead of time to make the drive up there in the dark easier. Pay extra if they stay or go down. No need to leave the property, but lovely locals in both road directions. It seems lots of people take their motorbikes up. There’s even college students and bus groups. Some vacant and less expensive hostels, but this location has everything needed. I think it’s a good night or two to stay. I arrived dinner and stayed two nights. All employees wonderful. Binod said Hotel can help arrange driver, but the bus also comes up. Sunrise depends on fog. Good either way.

I twisted my ankle on my way to this hotel, and the hotel manager was very nice to provide a wheelchair upon arrival and pushed me himself. All in all, our room was very clean and got an amazing view.
