Grand King Hotel

Although majestically placed in the heart of the Microcentro, or perhaps relying on this sole fact, the staff was one of the rudest and less helpful I've seen in a hotel in this price range in Latin America. They refused to speak any other language other than Spanish, and when requested to speak slowly so we could listen through the porteño accent, they didn't. When asked about their room service, the answer was a dry "scan the QR code". When asked about what would be open (it was Christmas), they told us to ask around the street. Luckily, the people on the streets were far more warm and helped us get around the city better. The rooms were good and appropriately clean.

房間衞生可以，酒店位置也好，斜對門的ABC 餐廳烤肉物美價廉，街道很熱鬧，十字路口有人在跳阿根廷探戈。WiFi 網速很快。總體感覺不錯。早餐沒吃不知道怎樣。

Old, noisy, dirty. No chance is a 4 star hotel. Maybe 2.5 star if they’re lucky. You can hear every noise in the next room. Some rude staff at the front desk. Reid to buy a bottle from the restaurant. The staff there wouldn’t help, said not possible. The water coming out of the bath was really dirty. All in all a disappointing stay. The location is excellent. No doubt about that. You can walk to alot of nice places. Cars/ taxis don’t kick up drop off from front of hotel. You have to walk 100m with bags.

A fascinating stay. This is perfectly central to restaurants and things to do. It was frustrating to be woken daily by "Cambio, cambio!" being yelled all day every day. There are a large number of restaurants around you to go to. If you need power points, good luck. To charge my CPAP machine, the staff had to wrench the bed headboard off the wall. (second of second booking room) The other powerpoint we used were difficult to access, under the desk. One weird thing is that the rooms don't have smoke detectors and when I asked for one, I was ask what had happened to be wanting one. I didn't tell them about the power point supporting the CPAP machine making sizzling noises. (first room). We had to change rooms half way through the trip as we had made 2 bookings and couldn't stay in the same room. Our second room started in one room with no air-conditioning and we moved rooms the next day (first room of the second booking) So yes, over 10 days we stayed in 3 rooms. The staff are really lovely and very helpful. The beds are comfy, breakfast OK. All the windows open up fully so beware if staying with small children. The only English TV station we could find was cage fighting.

An excellent location close to Av Florida in the centre of town and walking distance to the Buquebus Ferry Terminal for a trip to Uruguay. The bed and room is very comfortable and breakfast is good. The staff were all courteous and friendly. We stayed here for 2 nights then a week in Uruguay before returning for 2 more nights. We left some of our luggage here for a week with no charge. On our second visit our room fronted the street which gave a view of the street performance on the intersection of Lavalle & Florida. We would certainly stay at this very reasonably priced hotel again.

You see the hotel incredible on the internet, but the reality is different. It's an old building, which I understand, but the rooms are not amazing, the carpets in the corridors look really dirty, the service is not good at all. The maid was more eager to ask if she better not clean until the next day, you have cockroaches in the room, the shower is very small both at the top and the space. You think the elevator is going to come off and it's very small. The noise is extreme, you can hear everything that happens in the rooms, the Argentines who stay are really noisy, the doors slam shut, it smells bad inside the bedrooms. I asked about the air conditioning and the answer was that due to the current climate they don't turn it on, that they only use the heating if you're cold, I told them that I'm not cold but hot, but I can't use it, they don't have a machine, at least for coffee , breakfast is not included. Really pay a cost for something horrible, dirty and bad service.

Me hospedei no hotel em agosto/24 e já tinha feito a reserva desde maio por indicação de amigos de amigos. Após ler as avaliações de algumas pessoas aqui confesso que fiquei receoso se tinha escolhido errado, mas estava errado. Excelente Hotel, equipe da recepção bem atenciosa. Tivemos um probleminha no quarto e foram bem solícitos e nos trocaram de quarto num ainda de qualidade superior. Possuem espaço seguro para guardar as malas após o checkout. Quartos limpos e cheirosos. Não encontrei nada do que relatavam aqui.
