The latest renovation revamped the hotel with new bathrooms. In September 2023, our room 319 on 3F had an inside view, working air-conditioning, twin beds and a television. The bed slept well. Hot shower was fine. Indonesian and continental breakfast was served downstairs. The hotel offers laundry service. Wi-Fi reception was intermittent. Hotel Gran Malindo is a basic stopover hotel for tour groups.

Lokasi strategis sekitar 700 meter dari jam gadang. Untuk harga yang tidak mahal, kelengkapannya lumayan oke. Kopi, teh, air mineral tersedia. Kamarnya cukup bersih meskipun kamar mandinya ada bagian yang retak di wastafel dan bathtub. Ac dingin, air panas sangat oke. Kekurangan di saluran tv yang sulit sekali koneksi internetnya untuk bisa nonton. Sarapan pagi semua pilihan ada dari roti sampai nasi, tapi jumlahnya tidak banyak. rasanya surprisingly oke banget untuk ukuran hotel sederhana yang tadinya saya ga berharap banyak. Pilihan minumannya pun jus, air putih, teh dan kopi juga tersedia. Jajanan pasar, roti, bubur, lontong, nasi, mie, sosis juga ada. Sarapannya di rooftop dengan pemandangan yang cukup indah. Recomended untuk yg low budget tapi pengen ttp menikmati liburan tanpa keluhan.

we stayed in room 511, but there was quite a disturbing noise from the next wall because their workers were doing the construction of a new building, I thought it was only until 5 pm, it turned out to continue until 8 pm

Great location & friendly staff. A waking distance to Jam Gadang & shopping area. We love the beautiful sunrise from our room. We booked 4 rooms but 1 of the rooms was smelly perhaps due to poor drainage in the bathroom. Breakfast selections are great with menu changed everyday. We enjoyed the authentic Bukittinggi ‘kolak pisang’ and ‘katupek pakis’ a lot.

This hotel soo comfort. I stay for 2 nights and they will topup wter bottle and neat your room next day. The linen so fragrant. Breakfast also so good. Variety of porridge. Staff also very polite. Very recommended👍

Booked this hotel for one night. Checked in- no problem. Staffs were nice. Got in the room tried to connect to wifi with password on the table but unsuccessful. Unable to call as the phone line disconnected. No other choice than to see the receptionist in person and investigate about the wifi login. Apparently Password listed in the room was not updated. To get wifi u have to sit outside in the balcony with mosquitos. No chance to get wifi at all inside the room. The room was spacious but old and dirty. So many maintenance need to be done. Loose tap in the toilet, leaking shower hose and no pressure, dirty mirror in the toilet, shampoo was not provided, the curtain was broken.. on top of it, the price of the hotel doesnt reflect the service being offered. Avoid it if you can.
