Hotel berhampiran Coron Bay, Busuanga

It is a beautiful location with a lot to see and do. The staff is very friendly and attentive, the food is delicious and the rooms are very clean. Short distance is all to some beautiful waterfalls and the town of Coron which is packed full of even more things to explore!

Judith is the very best hostess who will go out of her way to make sure you have a wonderful, welcoming experience not only at her guesthouse but the whole area. She's so knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. She scheduled a night boat ride on the Decalachao River which runs through her property to see the fireflies, stars (literally out of this world), and luminescent plankton. I was heading to another spot the next day and she went out of her way to contact the hotel to arrange my boat pick up at the Decalachao pier and arranged transport there for me and my luggage (and on the return trip too). The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the views of the river and surrounding area were beautiful, and the food was generous and delicious. I couldn't have asked for a better experience and hope to return someday soon!

Excellent experience to relax and disconnect. The place is a piece of paradise. The only point which is not mentioned in the booking is that there is an additional charge of 1.700 pesos road trip from airport to the hotel per person, very expensive for the local pricings

Pros and cons. The island was great, we loved our stay at the cottage. But the service was not so good. Pros: - The island was great. Major plus points for the house reef and grass bed that attracts fish and sea turtles. There were birds and the monitor lizards on the island! - The view from our sunrise cottage was great. The rooms were clean and the toiletries complete. - Transport to and from the island went smoothly. - Massage was great! Cons: - We arrived at around 1pm (official check in time is 3pm). The staff told us they would call us when our room was ready. Many groups of arrivals were steadily being escorted to their rooms but not us. At 230pm I went back to the reception and was told our rooms had been ready earlier! But NO ONE let us know. At this point, they gave me the key card but no one made a move to escort us to our rooms and I had to ask if they could give us our luggage so we can go the room already before the receptionist accompanied us. - There is no comfortable place to wait or change clothes while waiting for your room. Basically people are sitting on the pool loungers in their pants/shoes from the airplane. - We signed up for the hike, we were told some one would text us to confirm time and meeting place, NO ONE called. - Basically, any time they tell you they'll call you, NO ONE did. I had to call multiple times and actually go the reception to get any response. - The restaurant was not full yet it was very hard to get the attention of any server. The food also took 30-40 minutes to serve. Kudos to the one lady server who served our lunch everyday for 3 days, she was the only one who helped us. - Used plates/utensils were left on the restaurant tables for a long time. We sat down as the neighboring party left and we were already done, their plates were still sitting on the table (being snacked on by the birds). This happened every meal (and we're slow eaters, at least 45 minutes). - Towels and plates/cups by the pool loungers also not cleared for hours. - Breakfast and dinner buffet were just okay. Nothing to write home about.

This is a beautiful island away from the hustle and bustle. This resort is the only man-made building on the island and is located on the south coast of the island. The environment is quiet and the sea water is warm and clear. The resort facilities are ordinary but clean. There are caves and hot springs on the island, and monkeys occasionally visit the beach. You can experience the original wildness of nature everywhere. The staff here are very friendly. There are not too many types of food, but we never repeated lunch and dinner during our stay. Sometimes due to the decrease in the number of guests, the restaurant will cancel the buffet and provide food to guests by ordering. The portion of food will surprise you. In order to avoid waste, we will strongly remind ”small or half portions”, but in the end our stomachs are still conquered by the hospitality of the staffs . It is worth mentioning that there are at least 8 WWII shipwreck dive sites around this island, and the locations of these dive sites are quite close. The boat ride ranges from 5-30 minutes. We can return to the hotel to rest between each dive, which is a great happiness for divers. Special thanks to our guide DM JAZZ, he is very experience with every dive sites and taking care us well during each dive.

Since I heard of some folks complaining, let me first tell you what Chindonan isn't... it's not a high-end luxury resort. Don't expect amenities such as hot showers, 24-hour electricity, a full-service spa, high-speed internet, and all that. The rooms are spacious but spartan, the aircon struggles to keep you cool. Chindonan is an eco-outpost on a remote island, made for divers and the more adventurous seeking quiet and tranquility amidst natural beauty. If just reviewing the rooms, facilties, and amenities though, I'd rate it a ”3”. But Chindonan is very much the people. Per P, the dreamer/owner/builder who brought us this place is truly delighted that you chose to come and cares that you have the best stay possible. Matt HM is the dive instructor/dive shop manager who can take you where you never thought you'd go, build your confidence, doing it all with safety foremost in his mind. Chindonan is in a prime location on Coron Bay and it's famous WWII shipwreck diving; the local reefs are worth a visit too. I wish I could remember the names of all the rest of the staff but you are always greeted with a smile, anything they can do for you they will. Again, always with that genuine warm smile. On a scale of 0 to 5, the people rate a ”7”. My thanks also to the chef(s). Your visit includes a made-to-order breakfast and buffet dinner. The dinner buffet wasn't lavish but always tasty and healthy, typically two entrees, vegetables, salad, soup and dessert. For most of our stay there were only four guests, including us, so any more than this would be wasteful. Averaging a ”3” and a ”7” we get ”5”, and that's my rating for Chindonan. Thank you Per, Matt, and the rest of the staff for a wonderful adventure. We're glad you survived the pandemic and we hope to be back soon!

If you're looking for a great Coron Palawan hostel experience, you've come to the right place. This hostel offers comfortable and clean accommodations with a friendly staff always willing to help. Shout out to Ellen for being so welcoming. The rooms are well-equipped with air conditioning, and comfortable beds. I love the blanket so much, I wanted to take it home with me. The hostel also offers a variety of nighttime activities such as the alcohol Olympics, and The Treasure hunt and they also provide assistance in booking island tours and diving activities. The common areas are spacious and inviting, making it easy to socialize with other guests. The location is also great, close to many attractions and activities. Overall, I highly recommend this hostel for an enjoyable stay in Coron Palawan.

My boyfriend and I stayed in this resort last March 2023, and we were very satisfied during our stay. After booking one of their deluxe room for two nights only, I've decided to book one night extension just so we could experience one of their premium rooms also. It was his first time flying to Coron because I've been here ever since for work purposes. Upon check-in, I was informed that we were upgraded to their premium room and that made us both so happy! I didn't ask for it, but they were so kind to give us the upgrade. The room was super nice and spacious. I loved the view of the sunset from our balcony! They even granted one of my request to put a slice of chocolate cake in the room because my boyfriend didn't get the chance to celebrate his birthday a few months ago. Staff were busy in the morning. Housekeeping also cleaned our room well and refilled everything from bottled water to bathroom amenities and towels. The location was convenient for us as it's along the main road, and we got ourselves a car rental during our stay so we can go out and come back anytime we want. Their swimming pool is huge! I don't know, but it felt huge because we were running and swimming from one pool to another like kids during our second night at the resort :D. What caught my boyfriend's attention was the Cockatoo by the entrance. We'd always stop by to say hello to the little fella. Overall it was a nice experience for us. See you next time!

Wir verbrachten 6 Nächte im Hotel. Es befindet sich ca 8 Minuten ausserhalb von Coron und die Tricycle fahrt dort hin kostet pro Person 40 PHP. Das Personal war freundlich und das Zimmer (Familienzimmer 3 Betten) war sauber und geräumig. Leider kostete sogar das Wasser der Minibar, was etwas unüblich ist für ein Hotel dieser Art und dessen Preis. Die Poolanalge wurde jeden Morgen gesäubert und sie ist zielmlich gross. Das Frühstück war nicht nacht unserem Geschmack. Praktisch nur lokale, warme Fleisch, Fischgerichte, was als Vegetarierin nicht sehr toll ist. Ausserdem mussten wir an mehreren Mörgen nachfragen, ob sie wohl wenigstens das Brot und Eier für uns auffüllen können, da alle Behälter leer waren. Fazit: ok für 2-3 Nächte.
