Our arrival at Byron Springs really earned a ”Wow” as everything exceeded our expectations. We loved the minimal design of both the bedroom, the large shared lounge and kitchen area, and the pool. Everywhere was absolutely clean and well maintained. The pool looked very inviting but, unfortunately, a sudden storm prevented our trying it during our all-too-short stay. We found the breakfast provided in the room, including Byron granola and fruit, to be tasty and perfectly adequate, while the pineapples and wonderful brownies in the shared area were a real bonus. I thoroughly recommend this little gem, but be sure to book more than one night!

Stayed here for a few nights with two friends and it was fine, average. Mentioned in the title nothing glamorous, but did the job. Check in was simple and easy, however we had to pay for onsite parking. At the price for accommodation, we were expecting it to be included. No wonder no cars were parked downthere. Room was ok, two bunks and a double bed upstairs. Beds not very comfortable to be honest, and had a dip in the middle. The mattress could do to be replaced or turned over. The room smelled awful and could have done with a good airing and deepclean. The shared bathrooms were average and served their purpose. Had to end up renting bath towels (yes renting), we weren't notified on booking that we needed to bring them. $2 per towel with a $20 deposit, seriously. All in all, the place was fine. I actually would stay here again, onsite amenities good especially the pool. Great for bonding and making new friends. Thank you

Cabin were small for the price $150 night, beds were good, air-con worked well. Good size 📺 TV. Very quiet park in terms of no noises guests during my stay,so quiet, found it strange no children here, no playground! Small pool but nice. What bother me with the cabin, was right next to toilet and shower block, so the outside lights are on the whole night and shined through the side window. For a week stayed, you would think they put me in another cabin. Didn't mention it as couldn't be bother to move after day 1. I found this park good location, short walk to shops, through the side lane of the bus port. The staff were nice and helpful if you needed anything! I found the park quiet boring and Byron wasn't the place for me, not sure what the fuss is about Byron! Beach were average and cafe very tactic looking, Woolworths centre was nice to visit. Some nice looking clothes shop! Been all around Australia, Byron would have to be my least favorite place and that's a week I won't get back 😕

After a 14 hour trip on a Greyhound Coach up from Sydney, you can’t believe your eyes when you finally see The Surf House before you. Upon checking in, you’re greeted by seasoned professionals in the art of reception-ism and are given a free drinks voucher for the bar which you take as your permission to paint the town red. Once you defeat the final staircase and claim the treasure of a bed and a good nights rest, you are taken by sweet surprised at the balcony in your room overlooking the Main Street. One trip to Aldi later and you’re demonstrating your chef skills in the hostel kitchen, Gordon Ramsey who? It could be slightly cleaner, but when you’ve stayed in a few hostels you know there’s no such thing as spotless. The housekeeping staff do a good job at keeping the place tidy after hours. Up at the roof top bar you claim your free drink (although there’s only one drink it’s valid for; the house larger) and put your name down for the pool competition. Someone orders a pizza and it looks good so you get one too. After a few more drinks you’re at the beach with a guitar singing Take Me Home, Country Roads while the sun goes down. You borrowed a towel from the hostel reception and you left your shoes behind because it’s Byron Bay. All your friends have to walk a mile back from the beach to their accommodation but you chose the surf house. You’ll be in bed before they’re even half way and you can rent a surfboard in the morning. Why would you want to stay anywhere else?

Has the best service from Jessica who accommodated our needs for such a large group booking for guests that travelled from overseas and Australia Great location and services We were able to have a meet and greet within the pool area They accommodated everyone and were able to supply single beds which was the request from majority of guests , Payment was only required 2 days before which helped with so many guests travelling from abroad Highly recommend Byron bay hotel and Apartments

We relaxed as soon as we arrived. The rainforest location is so special. Our rainforest lodge was perfect and the sunroom surrounded by trees was such a sanctuary. We found the hugging (healing tree) on the rainforest walk and the kids kept on going back for hugs - such good vibes. The kids enjoyed the pool which was shallow - great for our young children. Eleme day spa was a dream - I had the chakra healing massage and really enjoyed the relaxing and immersive experience of the crystals and sound bowls too. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner at Forest and the staff are really exceptional. Not easy dining with 2 young kids but the staff there were so great with our kids. It's amazing we lasted through the delicious 5 course degustation! A must try with the matching wines. The squid and kingfish were the winners for us. I am so glad I did the morning yoga class (even if it was just once!) looking right into the rainforest - a great start to the day. We can't wait to return!

A excellent stay and found Damien, Joanna and Luke (plus the rest of the team) to be super helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean, comfortable and a good size with adequate storage, plus the room comes with balcony which is super useful to help dry off clothes after a swim etc. The hostel as a whole sounds like it has a really promising future and wonderful staff to help develop it in the next stages. Plugs and reading lights in the bunks wouldn’t go amiss but I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s already in the works for the future development. That said there were plenty of plug dotted about the room that you could charge a portable charger easily. If you’re working as you’re travelling, the hostel has a good area that people can work from too. All in all, an excellent stay. If (when) I’m back in Byron I’ll definitely be looking to stay here again.

Having not been to Byron since 2006, I came for a night with a friend. We didn't want to be spending in to the 100s for a room we would only sleep in. We opted for the Cape Byron YHA. For $70, we got a twin room with a double and a bunk. The room was pretty bare, no TV - But it had a clothes hang/store area / mirror / enough plugs for the 2 of us. The bed was comfy and the covers were clean and warm (you have to ***** the bed upon check out). There were 3 or 4 showers in the block on our floor, same for toilets - you needed the swipe card to get in - again clean, warm. The kitchen area was large - this grossed me out a little - but it's been a long time since I backpacked Oz and needed to cook for myself in such. The pans were old and pretty grubby. You had to get your plates etc from reception - but we had ours with us. The tea towels were rank - I wouldn't use. The worst however was a bloke in the kitchen coughing all over the place - not the hostels fault, but nasty nonetheless. Needless to say, we didn't go sit and eat by him - we ate on our balcony which had a table and 2 chairs. During COVID-times and no flights coming in to Oz, this hostel serviced a range of ages - I am 40 and there were people older than me there. I found the hostel more like a motel. Good location and good wifi.

While this hostel may not be for everyone, my friends and I really enjoyed our time here. It's not flash, but very relaxed. Very social hostel, made lifelong friends here and we feel very fortunate. We stayed in the 6 Share Teepee. Also, the coffee is really good. I can't wait to come back and stay longer!
