The hotel staff are some of the nicest people we have dealt with. The rooms were very spacious clean and comfortable. The location was perfect for us ,the beach was about 100 metres away and was spotless. The sea was lovely and there were always lifeguards in attendance.

Good Hotel with very friendly and welcoming Staff. They offered us a free room upgrade to a suite that it was much appreciated. The suite was super spacious, with 2 separate bedrooms and 2x balconies with amazing sea views. We highly recommend booking a suite type of room (main building). The food is good and varied. However, some of the food was not identified especially at the Dunas Restaurant so it was difficult to understand what was it and contained (might be a problem for people with allergies/intolerances). Note: Majority of the food is bland and it will be required salt to be added separately if you like flavoured food. The drinks were okay, not much selection of cocktails unless if you go AI Plus. However, I would suggest to be served in reusable plastic cups like other Hotels instead of paper cups that stay all “mushy” after a while (still helps the planet considering it’s reusable). The Hotel has direct access to the beach (which is beautiful!) and has a beach bar (but not included for AI customers, only AI Plus). Also has sun lounges and parasols but needs to be paid extra. The Hotel has plenty of activities during the day & nice shows at night. The Animation Team is amazing and we had always a good time with them! Without the Animation Team the Hotel would be just average. They are really the light of this Hotel! We would just kindly suggest that during the activities they ensure that there is always someone that speaks portuguese (a few times it was only spoken italian - nothing against the language, it is a beautiful language, but sometimes was hard to understand everything and follow the instructions, thus fully enjoy the activities). Apart of portuguese, I would also suggest to be spoken english considering it is the universal language and more people would understand and engage in the activities. Apart of that we highly praise the animation team and their activities throughout the day & night. The Spa was good however they only give 45min slots which was not sufficient to try everything at the water circuit (we suggest the time to be increased to 1h and/or reduce the number of people per slot). Note: You will need a swim cap, otherwise you will pay 4 euros for one. The Hotel surroundings are beautiful with well kept gardens. Overall: Nice Hotel that wins for its beachfront location, Staff and Animation Team!

Per prima cosa in quasi 20 anni che viaggiamo in giro per il mondo MAI abbiamo mangiato cosi bene come nel ristorante del “suites”.. ed anche in Italia, si fa fatica a trovare un ristorante dove mangiare a questo livello! Tenetevi STRETTO questo chef! (P.s.: noi avevamo un pacchetto che ci permetteva di mangiare SEMPRE li, vi consiglio di richiederlo, lo stesso pacchetto vi offre ombrellone e lettini gratis altrimenti a pagamento). Poi, personale “suites” da 5 stelle, e anche di più.. TUTTI.. reception, sala, bar, TUTTI straordinariamente gentili e disponibili “a 360gradi” nel soddisfare qualsiasi esigenza! La spiaggia è BELLISSIMA, immensa e bellissima! L’isola di Porto Santo è altrettanto bellissima, nel suo piccolo, vi consiglio di girarla, o noleggiando un auto (potete noleggiarla direttamente qui), oppure in taxi (costa pochi €), ci sono posti davvero fantastici dove scattare delle foto bellissime (paesaggio simile alle Canarie). Per quanto riguarda le camere… non sono proprio “suites”.. alcune stanze non hanno il bidet, le vasche hanno la tenda, spine senza alcun appoggio dove appoggiare magari un telefono a caricare o altro (neppure in bagno), dimensioni ok per coppie ma non molto per famiglie (se avete 2 figli la vedo dura…), insomma, per essere uno stabile nuovo come dicono, potevano “fare” qualcosa di più.. La palestra in spiaggia da sistemare.. Talasso terapisa molto carina. Nello stabile “centrale” del vila baleira avete animazioni, 4 campi da padel, e ristoranti self service (nel “suites” siete serviti dai camerieri) Grazie a Pietro di “futura” ed a TUTTO lo staff! Un ringraziamento particolare a Mariana, sala&bar, davvero di ALTO livello!

The hotel is nice, it’s a good 4-star hotel which delivers what it promises. The rooms: The rooms are not luxurious, but spacious, comfortable and clean. They offered an array of pillows which will probably suit most guests. The extra beds could deal with an upgrade. For our 3-year old, it was fine, but for older children they might not find it too comfortable. The bathrooms: They were spacious and recently refurbished. The shower toiletries could use an upgrade (only a 2in1 shampoo/shower gel offered. Hand soap was fine. The beach bar: Decent array of food offered, good quality and great service. Prices were ok for a hotel. There are a couple of other options in the beach really close by too. Swimming pool: Very nice, with a large shallow area which suited both adults and children. The water is not heated, so it’s a bit chilly if it’s not warm outside. Plenty of sunbeds available and a beautiful view of the garden and the dunes. There’s mini golf and table tennis available, which was nice. Staff was friendly and helped us by booking taxis and recommending restaurants. Location: The hotel is very well located in our opinion. 1.5km away from the village centre, so far enough to be quiet, but close enough to allow us to walk there everyday to visit the children’s playground, try new restaurants or just enjoy the stroll. There’s a small supermarket, bakery and a few restaurants 5-7 min walking distance on the other direction. We even walked to the horse centre (35min), which is in the opposite side of town. We did not try the on-site restaurant nor the spa/indoor swimming pool. We have heard there’s a charge to use the indoor swimming pool, which is not very nice, but we didn’t check it ourselves.

the hotel is located remotely, but near the best beach on the island. The hotel is modern and eco, which is very important for me. A bottle of wine was waiting for me in the room. The bathroom had all the necessary supplies, including toothbrushes and toothpaste. the breakfast is varied: scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, mushrooms, salad, different types of sausages and cheeses, yoghurts, cereals, fruits, lots of sweets, all kinds of jams! champagne, as always, in Pestana is a big plus. By the way, this is the only hotel in my life where they serve artichokes for breakfast!!! good coffee machine, the coffee is very tasty! The hotel offers scooters and cars for rent, you can arrange any excursion... a sauna and steam room are available for your use. The pool is not heated, but after the sauna it’s the best feeling! the rooms are cleaned every day. The staff is incredibly friendly and professional, they will help with any problem, even if it is not their responsibility. the place you want to return to!
