Cadiz Spain was a last-minute plan during my journey. I entered the city with no hotel reservation and only a plan to crash and take a quick dash into the city. Hostal Bahia served to be an affordable, convenient and pleasant choice for my lodging. Room 205 was neat and all that I needed. Manny or Maxie was the desk person, and he was polite. I would stay here again!

To be clear, I'm not saying this is a 5 star hotel. It is a 2 star hotel. But within that class of hotels it was top notch. Clean, very friendly staff, great location. Easy walk to train and bus station. Balcony for people watching on the street below or the apartments across the way. Study the pictures to know if it is right for you. They are accurate. Bed, night stands, desk, TV and A/C thats it. No fridge, kettle, microwave, iron. I wouldn't consider booking a hotel in this price range in the USA for fear not only of what I'd find in the hotel but also what I'd find in the neighborhood. No fears here. If you need bargain accommodations look no further.

excellent location; very safe neighborhood (by Plaza del Ayuntamiento); lots of place to eat around the property. It should not be classified as a hostel, it is like a small hotel (no frills) in right in middle of the historic district.

Delighted with our choice. The location is perfect. The hostel doesn't serve breakfast instead you can visit a local cafe, with many to choose from. The hostel oozes Spanish charm. The rooms are small, very clean, a great bathroom and a comfy bed. We would certainly visit again. The desk staff are lovely, even with my lack of spainish.

Low price, good location and friendly staff.
But even for this price you can expect normal sleeping blankets and a bathroom big enough (you couldn't sit properly on the toilet because the shower was directly next to it).
There were cables coming out of the wall directly over the bed.
