Hotel 3 Bintang di Caen

My son booked 2 rooms 1 superior room and 1 double. Arrived could not get in. Finally someone opened the door, then we found envelopes with keys left on the side. Not a great start. Went up to the room and the room next to us had at least 12 people in shouting and screaming, however onwards in to the room. The smell as we entered was of urine, it stunk, the toilet was leaking, the balcony was disgusting and also stunk of urine. The arguing next door was getting worse, I opened the door and there was 2 men fighting, it was now feeling very unsafe we decided to just leave. It actually looked like a immigration centre , there were cars in the car park with various men in who were clearly selling stuff by the amount of people coming out of the immigration centre to go to them. Not a safe feeling for my family. The photos on the internet have clearly been photo shopped as they don’t give a true reflection of the actual rooms. Would not recommend to my worst enemy. Booked another hotel in Caen the Ibis at an extra cost of £350.00 but what the hell, at least we was safe

Nice hotel across from Chateaux Caen ”William the Conguerers castle”. Very clean and the Staff was incredibly helpful. We would like to call out Nathan, our desk clerk was Awesome. He went above and beyond to help us from parking, helping me with my luggage when I was carrying it up a flight of stairs, to suggesting places to eat, and telling us about the Chateaux Caen, which was so cool to see and costs nothing to wander around for hours. We also enjoyed a Lebanese Restaurant La Perle du Liban, which was absolutely delicious which was right across from the back side of the castle. It was so good that we ate there 2 nights in a row. All in all a great hotel, in a nice area, with a lot to do.

Very clean and beautiful rooms. The breakfast was great with several options. The location was good, easy to park nearby and it was close to several bars and restaurants. It was just 20 minutes walk to the historical center. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Funktionales Hotel mitten in der Stadt, ideal gelegen, um die Stadt zu Fuß zu erkunden. Mit dem Auto etwas umständlich zu erreichen, Tiefgarage direkt um die nächste Ecke. Zimmer sind einfach, eben typisch für die Kette, Frühstück war reichlich, Service war zuvorkommend. Es gibt mehrere Ibis Hotels in Caen, die Wahrscheinlichkeit im Falschen zu landen ist hoch.

We arrived late (2330) and were greeted with a smile, which was so satisfying that we had booked a caring establishment. This was indeed true. Every member of staff met our, and we are sure would meet yours too if you book this hotel. Location is good, central for buses, shops (Especially for ladies), restaurants (some do not open on Sunday or Mondays) a supermarket, car parking. Nothing was any trouble. If you go to Caen stay here.

The Hotel has three stars outside but I assume this relates to the sister Mercure hotel that is next door but part of the same building. The room we had was meant to be a twin but in all honesty it was more like a single room. Storage is very limited and the bathroom was very tired and dated looking. The Hotel bar shuts early and may not open at all so you may struggle for a nightcap if one takes your fancy. The good points of the hotel are the underground parking that they have (make sure you book it) and the breakfast was great, the lady who looks after the breakfasts is really helpful. Location wise the Hotel is a good central location and most places are a walk. Comparing it to the premier inn we stayed at in the UK en-route, the premier inn was miles better and 40 pounds cheaper per night.

Average hotel, clean and tidy but some strange decor in public areas and especially corridors. Room was good with very comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Tea and coffee facilities were ONE coffee, ONE teabag and ONE sugar. Bizarre. I had B&B but as I was part of a coach the hotel were asked in advance on both nights if we could have some food, on the first night just something quick like steak & chips, as some of us (me) had travelled 22 hours. 1st night (Fri) 9pm. Supervisor SUGGESTED steak and chips and we all agreed. Waitress and supervisor took orders from approx 20 people and then served 14. The rest of us were told that the kitchen ”should have closed much earlier” so there was no food (See Fawlty towers ”Waldorf Salad”) I was offered some free salted peanuts, which I took.... 2nd night (Sun, we had spent Sat at Le Mans 24h race). Arrived at 7.30pm and were told we had time to freshen up, so back down at 8pm to be told ”sorry, no food tonight”. (See Fawlty Towers ”Gourmet Night”. All was ”off”. Found a steakhouse called La Boucherie close by which was great. They got a good tip. As a place to crash it was great, but don't expect anything more than continental breakfast, which by the way was also great. Confused?

Le Savoy is a wonderful Hotel , It is not posh but has all you need , The rooms are tidy and the beds are very comfortable my room had a small but adequate bathroom with a shower , There was a television and very good internet provided free , As a group my friends and my wife and I had breakfast and evening meals , The breakfast was continental but the evening meals were fantastic , The staff were great and nothing was too much trouble for them , We have stayed at this Hotel before but this was the first time under the present ownership and it has to be said they are making a great job of it , My friends and I will definitely stay at Le Savoy again in the future

Bonjour, réservation 1 mois avant pour une chambre lit jumeau pour mon fils et moi. à notre arrivée pas de chambre de ce type disponible donc obligation de payer une autre chambre 170 euros les 2 jours ! c'est parfaitement intolérable ! c'est du vol manifeste. La première nuit l’hôtel accueillait un groupe scolaire, obligé de demander le calme en appelant la réception à 22H les enfants criaient et couraient dans les couloirs. à 5, 50 euros le petit déjeuné, vous ne trouverez que de la frugalité, pas de choix et produits bas de gamme. Le personnel est toutefois très sympathique mais l'expérience est inacceptable. à la fin du séjour on vous propose une note à régler avec la moitié de la facture déjà réglé en arrivant ... Voyageant beaucoup avec mon entreprise c'est l'expérience la plus désagréable en hôtel, que j'ai pu vivre.
