Hotel berhampiran Cittadella dei Musei, Cagliari

We really enjoyed our time at Palazzo Doglio. The location is fantastic – just a short stroll from the old town, with charming cafés, restaurants, and the waterfront all within easy reach. The hotel itself is elegant and stylish, with a calm, welcoming atmosphere and excellent service. If we had to wish for one thing, it would be a rooftop terrace or a pool to enjoy the Sardinian sun after a day of exploring – that would’ve made it perfect. Overall, a great base for discovering Cagliari in style and comfort.

An exceptional hotel in the heart of Cagliari. Wonderful rooms, modern, plenty of handy amenities and shower products. The bed is incredibly comfortable. Every staff member was friendly and went above and beyond. The rooftop pool and sun deck, whilst small, was a perfect place to relax after breakfast. The Tirso beach club was brilliant and definitely worth paying for. Rooftop drinks were a delight with the sun setting across the city. Breakfast was varied and delicious. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We had a fabulous one night stay here before our early morning flight the next day. We were greeted by the friendliest of hosts who made us settle in quickly. Really good communication throughout. We managed to find parking a few mins walk away that only cost a few euros (free after 8pm) The room was very clean, simple decor and a fridge with some complimentary cold waters and a coke which was a lovely generous touch. Bathroom was perfect for our needs. Clean with fresh towels. Complimentary WiFi TV with netflix which pleased our teenage son. Apartment had amazing views from the balcony! When asked, the lovely hosts recommended the most amazing pizzeria for dinner. Location - easy to walk around and close to many bars and restaurants. Cagliari is such a beautiful city. Would highly recommend staying here.

Well we have not stayed st this accommodation. During to the illness we needed to return home earlier. We have asked accommodation for some compromise solution. They totally stopped to talk to us and even blocked any communication channel. This kind of behavior is at least nothuman and not friendly at all. So consider this when booking. I would ignore this kind of people in the future.

Will def stay again. Spacious clean rooms, modern bathroom and very responsive team. Windows are double glazing so they block noise well , and there is black out blinds. Comfortable bed and pillows.  Unlike in our previous stay in another hotel ,the room was not damp and it had all amenities .

The hotel is located in the centre of Cagliari.Very close to restaurants, bars and also short walking distance. Good customer service..Overall,I love the antique interior design.. especially the lift and the room decorations. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the front desk for giving his best service due to our early departure.He told us he could provide us early breakfast as we need to leave the hotel by 6 in the morning. Likewise,the breakfast was served right in front of our room. Highly recommended!!!Good service!!!

Conveniently located. The room was clean and there was a balcony.  One problem was a lack of a safe. I had to carry my money and values with me throughout the entire stay in Cagliari for fear of break in.  There are also no cameras in the apartment building, or common area of the B&B so if you were to be broke into, there wouldn’t be surveillance. Luckily nothing went wrong!

You get what you pay for. Has all the basics, no frills. Staff friendly and assisted with my case as there is no lift. TV remote was temperamental, reported this and was told I would be getting a replacement the next day, no replacement forthcoming but wasn’t a big deal as only Italian channels. Coffee machine in the room was pre-filled with water but coffee pods have to be purchased separately.  The wash basin had cracks, the shower was initially hit but soon went quite cool almost cold. The white bath towel had marks on it! The double bed was made up from 2 single mattresses which were not adjoined therefore, mid sleep the two parted company by some 6 inches .The street is reasonably quiet evening time however, early morning sees the nearby businesses empty the previous evening empty bottles into the bin directly positioned below my room. There is also a school nearby where the little ones gather waiting for the doors to open, the excited chatter didn’t bother me but it might some people. Great location for good shops/restaurants/cafes, train and buses and easy walk to the beautiful Marina.

Service was phenomenal, the staff there were very friendly and caring, any problem or request and my needs were met. The hotel is very clean, the area is quiet with no disturbances during our stay. Room was equipped with AC which was very nice after coming in from the heat. The room was clean, with the beds being very comfy. The only negative to this place is that it’s in the middle of no where, in order to get there from the airport it’s either a 2 hour walk (have to walk around the motorways) or have to get a €20 taxi. In addition to this, it’s another 30 minutes roughly bus ride to the centre, and a good 20 minute walk to the closest shops. The hotel itself was excellent however the location is a really big negative to staying there. If you don’t have a car it’s not worth staying unless you can sort out travel.

AVOID THIS PROPERTY! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE OWNERS. The room itself was just ok but no WIFI in the bedroom - it only worked in the entranceway which was a big nuisance. The hosts are horrible and try to scam you. After we checked out I realised I had left something in the room but was unable to get back in as we had put the keys in the drop box already. I waited outside the main apartment entrance whilst I got in contact with the hosts who were going to send a housekeeper out, but while I was waiting a guest from one of the other bedrooms arrived so I was able to follow them into the apartment, where I was then able to access our room as I had left it unlocked when we checked out and was able to retrieve my items. A couple of hours later I received a very rude email from the hosts accusing me of forcing the door open and damaging the lock, stating that I will be liable for repair costs. Considering they have many CCTV cameras within in the apartment entranceway you'd think they would review the camera footage before rudely accusing a guest. Had they actually bothered to look at the footage they would have seen that all I did was follow someone (who had keys) into the apartment and then open our unlocked bedroom door - there was absolutely no forcing or damaging of the door. I don't know how they think they could get away with trying to scam someone like this when there is clear evidence that it did not happen, as if someone would pay for damages they did not cause. It's laughable that they would even think they could get away with that. I was very restrained in my reponse to them and kindly informed them that, as I had previously mentioned, all I did was follow someone into the apartment and opened our unlocked door, but surprise surprise they ignored me and didn't bother to respond any further - absolutely no apology from them which was unbelievable. Stay here at your own risk - there are much nicer properties around, I wouldn't recommend giving these people a cent of your money.
