Crystalbrook Bailey was my stopover hotel so I wasn't expecting anything flash etc however when I arrived I was pleasantly surprised how beautiful and modern this hotel is. Such a change to a lot of the older Cairns hotels. I felt like I was in a hotel in Melbourne! Check in was a breeze and staff were lovely, I was in my room in no time at all. There is alot of stunning modern artworks all throughout the building, very cool to find as you make your way to your floor. The room was beautiful and sufficient for a one nights stay, I could have easily stayed for longer! The location is great, in the city and close to the esplanade. I would definitely stay here again!

We booked this three bedroom apartment for our one week stay; husband, wife, two teenage sons and our four year old daughter. We were lucky enough to get room 506 which is sandwiched between two permanent residents so it was lovely and quiet during our entire stay. Yes we partially faced the hotel next door but we also had esplanade and mountain views which was spectacular in the morning and at night. Coming from WA, a sunrise OVER the water was a novelty! The apartment was clean, the AC effective and the water pressure so strong it was almost violent. I say this in a good way though! As frequent traveller I get sick of poor water pressure but this was brilliant. Some people have mentioned bugs coming out at night- you’re in the tropics, so I’m not sure what they are expecting really. Make peace and move on. The cleaning staff were friendly and were happy to change our towels everyday (we were busy and the kids always dirty, loaded by chlorine, salty or otherwise needing a towel!) and we had more than enough TP or laundry detergent when needed. Our flight home was at 8.30pm on a Sunday and the front desk staff very kindly let us use a fob to enter the premises so we could store our luggage safely during the day after checkout and come in to use the ground floor showers, bathrooms and charge our phones in the interim. Thank you for hosting us Vision- it was wonderful all round.

We arrived at the hotel around 1.30pm and we were able to check in straight away, the girl on reception was very friendly and explained where our room was as there are 2 towers . We were on the 10th floor with a city view. Our room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Loved how they are helping with environmentally keys for your door which are just round bamboo disks and also having no plastic bottles in the fridges, just glass bottles. All tv programs were free so we’re able to watch new release movies and free wifi . We had booked a holiday package , so we also had free car parking and a $250 credit to use at any of their hotels . Would definitely stay here again .

This hotel is only 10 a 10-minute walk to the city centre and the fantastic pubs and cafes on the Esplanade. If you want to do it in 2 minutes get one of the the electric scooters outside the reception area. The safe are welcoming and very friendly, making my 3-week stay a pleasure. The only downside was their restaurant is not open every night, but not a problem when you are that close to everything the city has to offer.

This is definitely a place that is orientated more towards families rather than couples. What was good was the friendly staff throughout the resort, the food and beverage service and the convenient underground parking. Stayed in a deluxe king room on the fifth floor overlooking Cairns city which appears to have been recently upgraded. Room smelt damp on entry and after the first shower it was evident why. It is hard to believe that someone designed the shower so that water flowed directly onto the floor and out into the living area even when you had the least amount of water flow possible. Wee bit of a design flaw I would suggest. Also, when booking a King size bed it would be a good idea to ask guests if they want a second bed in the room along with connecting rooms. I personally have no wish to have connecting rooms unless I am staying as a family. This door along with the front door were not particularly well sealed and you could here plenty of noise from outside and next door. The balcony is marketed as being intimate in yet has one chair and being a connecting room has nothing between you and your neighbours balcony. Hardly intimate. Based on the reviews I am sure this place is perfect for families however, there are better choices for couples elsewhere in Cairns.

We had a wonderful one night stay at the Heritage Cairns. A clean, spacious and well equipped room with a comfortable bed, air conditioning and a fridge. But what made this hotel even better was the fantastic receptionist. She went out of her way to help us, the lift was broken during our stay so she moved us to a ground floor room as we had a lot of luggage, she also assisted us with a taxi number and warned us that Ubers do sometimes cancel early in the morning - we had a an early morning flight the next day so needed a lift to the airport, our Uber did arrive as planned but it was reassuring to know we had a back up plan, thanks to this lady. It is little touches like this that really make a difference! We would definitely book again.

I really loved this motel as it was very Quiet during the day and night, even though they were full with guests. The motel was very, very clean, the beds were very comfortable and there was enough room for my two young children to play. The staff at reception were so friendly and helpful in arranging a ground floor unit for me. I have noticed that many hotels in Cairns are not staffed since Covid and it was so wonderful to have friendly staff available at reception and answering phones. Thanks for a wonderful stay. I will be back.

I really loved this motel as it was very Quiet during the day and night, even though they were full with guests. I regretfully stayed here for 2 nights. I arrived around 2:30pm and had to wait for the receptionist to eventually arrive and unlock the front office. I soon learnt that the female receptionist doesn't work in the office, rather sits at a small table looking at her phone and smoking cigarettes. She was doing this literally every time I saw her during my stay. I witnessed other guests becoming annoyed after waiting and buzzing the office for considerable time, all the while the woman was sitting around smoking. Very unprofessional. First impressions of the room were not good. Very small and pokey, furnishings very dated and in urgent need for repairs or updating. Here is a basic overview of the positives and negatives. Positives: Bed appeared freshly made and was satisfactory; Small fridge was clean and functional; Water pressure was good. Negatives: Two main windows didn't have flyscreens so flying insects came in including mosquitoes; The aircon had significant black mold growth; There was no smoke alarm in the room; There were guests constantly smoking cigarettes outside, so smoke constantly came in; The room smelled very musty with a mix of cigarettes and mold; Drinking glasses were not clean and one had a chip; Some lights in the room didn't work; The free WiFi was extremely patchy - kept dropping out after no more than 5 minutes of use; The wasn't off-street secure parking as described in the booking; The ceiling fan only functions on max setting and even that was very inadequate; There was damage throughout the room - small holes in walls and rough patches and evidence of water damage; The walls were very thin and I could hear everything in rooms next to me; The second night a guest starting playing loud music after midnight and refused to turn it down or off... I could go on but I think you get the picture. Don't waste your time and money staying here. I will be contacting the booking agency and demanding a partial refund. Avoid this place!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hostel, I would go as far as saying that it's the best hostel I stayed in. There is a fantastic pool and common area which makes it so easy and natural to meet new people and make friendships that can last a lifetime! There is also a travel desk right next to the reception where you can you can book the most memorable experiences All the staff are always extremely helpful and accommodating. Will no doubt come back here whenever I come back to cairns and I suggest that everybody else does too!
