This was my first time staying at the Anza in Calabasas, and I will NEVER return. I was given a connecting room for my 4-night stay—I wish I had immediately walked out. I felt like I had zero privacy and a complete lack of restful sleep. I could hear EVERY. SINGLE. WORD. the people next door were saying. After 2 nights of hell, I went to the front desk to ask if the room next door would be occupied for the rest of my stay, because in that case, I needed to be assigned a new room. The woman at reception couldn't even figure out how to locate where my room was. She was asking ME what room was next to me. She tried to find a map of the hotel by emptying every drawer at the reception desk. I walked away without a resolution and she did not even offer to follow up. That night things got even worse—there was a large group of partiers staying on my floor, playing supper loud music and walking up and down the hallway shouting. We also got NEW people in the connecting room, who proceeded to play heavy metal music at full volume, at 7:20am!!!!! I immediately went to the front desk and asked for a new room. Although the employee seemed more capable and offered an apology, she told me there was nothing she could do, and that I should ask again later that day. Also, there is ONE elevator to service the entire building—mindblowing.
1 star because the room decor was decent. Aside from that, the atmosphere and customer service at this hotel are terrible quality. A hard pass for me.
