I'm on my last day at the hotel before going home tomorrow, and I don't want to leave. Everything about this stay has been perfect. I stayed in the level solarium suite and I can say that it is honestly the best room I have ever stayed in. The hotel staff are amazing especially Sam who made everything very special for us. It's the little touches like greeting with a smile every time she saw me that made me feel very welcome, and nothing was too much trouble. From the hotel pictures I wasn't sure what to expect apart from the bed, couch and terrace, but there is a large open plan wash area with a bath. A massive double shower separate from the wash area, and a separate toilet. This room was worth every penny and I'm about to book it again for next year. I've stayed in many hotels in the Melia / Sol group and this is by far my favourite. The last time I was here I thought the pool area was a bit small, but I noticed on this stay that they have opened it up and it's now open plan with the restaurant outside Melia South Beach. It makes the area feel so much larger. A great improvement, and it shows that they are still investing money in this hotel. I had dinner at Casa Nostra restaurant and it was easily 5 star. Just 1 point for consideration. I don't like the wrist bands as keys. It's ok if you are staying for a night, but I was here for 11 nights and had a skin irritation because of it. I had to take it off. I understand the idea so that you can visit the facilities in other Melia hotels, and so you know people in the hotel are actually staying there. But because you can't take it off without cutting it, it's very awkward for a long stay. Thank you for making my first post COVID holiday so special. I will see you again very soon.
