This Inn was an extremely high level of surprise! The check in process was fast, polite! The room I had was small, but one of the cleanest I have seen. The shower is small, but again, clean and more than adequate. They have a strict ”quiet” time at nights and it showed, as I barely heard a thing in the 4 nights I stayed. There is a small cafe right next door, that had an amazing breakfast! When I go back, there is no other place I will consider staying. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars, is only because I do not give anything a perfect rating! But it was darn close!

The worst customer service of any Marriott hotel. I’m assuming this is a franchise as they do not want to work with me. I accidentally canceled my non refundable reservation and missed the window by 15 minutes. 15!!! So, I noticed a few days later they charged me $845. I called the hotel and they said it was a non refundable rate and they can't refund me my money. Fine. I understood the policy...So I specifically asked the lady on the phone to REINSTATE my original reservation because ”I had already paid for it”. Fast forward to a few days later, I found out this lady instead, booked me a brand NEW non-refundable reservation that had to be canceled within 24 hours. So I thus missed that window again. This woman never disclosed to me that they were keeping my initial ”deposit” as she now calls it. Nor did she explain I again would have 24 hours to cancel this NEW reservation (same dates/same rate) that I didn't even ask for. I was not made aware of this until a week later. So, I escalated it to Marriott Corp, opened a case for it and was told there's nothing they can do as the hotel has refused to offer any sort of credit or work with me at all. So, they're keeping my original $845 that was charged for cancelling AND now I'm stuck with this new reservation and have to pay another $845.... For a reservation I never authorized. Does that seem right?! I mean, come on. $1700 to stay at a Residence Inn in Camarillo?? I'd stay at the Four Seasons for that! Worst customer service ever. DO NOT stay here because not only can they not extend some leeway for a mere 15 minutes, , they also are deceptive and unethical. What a great Merry Christmas to me I guess .

If you are on a budget, looking for a no-frills place to stay in the Oxnard/Camarillo/Ventura area, this hotel would be hard to beat for the price. Pool was small but clean, bedrooms and bathrooms were clean. No continental breakfast here, but there are many places to eat neary. Gas stations also nearby.

Nice older hotel close to the freeway and within walking distance of a lot of dinning options. The noise from the freeway was hardly noticable, it was very quiet at night. The Office Manager Jason was super friendly and very thoughtful in selecting a room that would accomodate our family of 5 including young kids - he put us in a room where our loud noise would not disturb other travelers :). Would highly recommend this hotel to other travelers in the area

I booked the room through Hotels.com and prepaid. At check in, they couldn't find my reservation even though I showed the clerk my reservation on my phone. She did give me a downgrade to match the price I already paid and made me pay again. It was then my responsibility to call Hotels.com. They refunded my prepay, but I lost the credit towards my free room and the ability to review this awful place on their website. Upon check out, another clerk said, ”Yeah, we usually have trouble losing those bookings, especially when we are busy.” I don't know how that is possible. The cable box never worked, the bed was noisy, lumpy, and not the king I paid for. The toilet is actually too big for the bathroom. You have to force the door past the bowl to close it. They were also doing repairs to a room so that the direct path to our room was blocked. This required my husband and I to have to walk all the way around a wing to get to where we were assigned. The best part of this hotel is that we know we will never stay here again.

Every single thing about our stay felt like an effort to save money at our expense. ”We only clean rooms every four days.” I'm used to reusing towels and don't expect the sheets to be changed until we check out to save water/power, but not emptying garbage or anything?! Dirty Hallways... food, garbage, stains. Very poor soundproofing... people in the hall sound like they're in your room. People walking upstairs sound like a herd of inebriated pachyderms charging around. Suprise billing $20 for parking... in the lot that is part of the ***** mall. Uncovered of course. At least let us know up front... very tacky. In room coffee maker, sure. But nobody will give you coffee since they only do room service every four days. Plus the sweetener/creamer packet is so cut-rate it doesn't include a stirrer?! Really? Guess I'm supposed to use my finger to save them a half-cent. Couldn't connect to wifi and didn't bother chasing it. On the bright side, external walls did keep the freeway sound out.

Staff at checkin were extremely nice and helpful (Filipino pair). Was told rate includes the hot breakfast. Overslept so didn’t try. Room is really HUGE! Everything is nice :)
