Travelodge Camborne Redruth

Dirty pillows/duvet absolutely stink of dirty sweaty heads! Clean pillowcases and duvet cover but actual pillows/duvets never cleaned!

We booked this hotel last minute, just one day before, because the weather forecast for Cornwall was very good that week. We stayed for 3 nights and overall we were happy with our stay. The hotel is in a very convenient location, just next to the A30, so it is easy to drive to St Ives, the nearby beaches, restaurants and other places. We also drove to Penzance (about 1 hour), Porthcurno Beach and other beautiful places in Cornwall. Our room had one double bed and two single beds, which was enough for 2 adults and 2 children. The room was clean when we arrived and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was basic, but for us it was enough for sleeping and having a shower after a day of exploring Cornwall. I would have liked to have a small fridge or a balcony, especially to dry our towels, but the room did have air conditioning, which was useful. Parking is free and there is a Costa Coffee drive-through next to the hotel, as well as KFC and a fairly large pub restaurant with an outdoor terrace and a small children's play area. One thing to know is that you need to ask reception for a hairdryer and return it at check-out. Towels and rubbish were not changed during our 3-night stay. However, the hotel has a policy encouraging guests to reuse towels to help reduce water waste, so this was absolutely fine for us. Overall, we were happy with our stay. It was a good base for exploring Cornwall, especially if you have a car, and we would consider staying here again.

I have stayed here before and my stay was excellent then and peaceful so I chose a room for my two boys and I on this occasion. It was immaculately clean and again wonderfully quiet even though the majority of guests were up and out before 7 a.m. I had driven down from London the day before so had a lay in until 9 a.m. Beds clean, towels clean and bathroom spotless. Difficult to find family rooms in Cornwall especially during high season at that price.

We stayed in this hotel when the Premier Inn in Truro let us down the day we were due to arrive. The hotel was clean welcoming. The bed for me was incredibly uncomfortable that was not the same for my husband. There was no breakfast or anything. The Wi-Fi was expensive and because we had not been able to book it in advance, the hotel was quite expensive. As a late last-minute booking this hotel was fine.

Very pleased with my stay, excellent location and reasonable value for money. Excellent, helpful staff too. Big thanks to the staff member who returned the bag I'd forgotten to pack into my car.

Great place to stay, There's a pub next-door, KFC, McDonald's, Costa Coffee, very convenient location, i would definitely stay there again when I'm in Redruth on business.

Stopped off for one night on the way to the Isles of Scilly. Great experience for our whole family (13 of us from 5 weeks to 64years). Comfy and clean rooms, all the staff were friendly and nice food and drinks at Copper Kettle pub next door.

I stayed during a heatwave and arriving very hot and flustered, I was delighted to walk into an air conditioned room. The hotel is new and in great condition. Parking is free and plentiful. I really enjoyed my stay and got a good night's sleep for all three nights I stayed. I would stay again without hesitation.

Had a lovely 2 night stay with my family and friends before we headed to the haven caravan site for the week. Can’t that Sarah enough for her hospitality always had a smile on her face every time you see her at reception. Rooms were lovely and clean. Thankyou again we will be back again next year like we always do x
