Amazing stay! Comfortable bed and great location near Harvard! Staff were extremely helpful assisting us with college tours and dinner reservations. I didn’t realize I had booked a room with one bed and was traveling with a friend. The staff were able to move us to a slightly larger room and also provided us with a rollaway cot at no additional cost

Very good location and friendly staff. Bed is average comfort. Room was clean. This is where the positives end. There is very little protection from sound. I was up all night both nights hearing doors slam inside (particularly the very heavy door to the stairs that was near my room) and vehicles outside. Pack very good earplugs if you come. The hotel has zero food service. No breakfast, no bar, nowhere (bar, etc) to unwind after a day of work. WiFi was spotty and cut out on me during video calls, so don't plan on working from the room. Overall, I would have preferred to have a worse location but a nicer hotel. Boston is pretty small and Harvard Sq is only a 15 minute Uber to almost anywhere in the city. The good location here wasn't worth the negatives.

We were up for the weekend with my brother and sister in law for the Harvard Dartmouth football game. The place is well located right off the Harvard campus and near to most of the Cambridge museums, restaurants, bars, etc. I understand that Cambridge is expensive, ($309 per night) but our room was tiny. My wife's closet is much bigger. Minimum amenities (no kleenex) Room service (maid) non-existent. The breakfast was so-so. Our room was on the 3d floor with extremely steep stairs with no one to help lug bags up to the room. Both my wife and I are in our 70s with disabilities and it was a tough chore to climb those steep stairs with our bags. Most unbelievable though was there was no way to control the temperature in the room. Granted it was unseasonably warm for late October, but I have no idea how anyone can manage to stay there in the summer! We had the window as wide open as possible and got a small fan from the manager but we were HOT both nights we were there. In general, management was distant cool and unfriendly. If this was a $50/ night flop house, I'd understand, but for $309 per night the place just isn't worth it.

I had the privilege to stay at the Commander every other week for 8 months due to business. This property is a treasure in Cambridge. Exclusively located right on Cambridge common, this hotel is a 10-20 minute walk from Museums, Harvard Campus, Harvard square and dozens of restaurants and shopping. The second you arrive the character is apparent, from the front visage modeled after Mount Vernon, a bronze statue of the Commander himself, and stunning ornate ceilings in the lobby. The rooms are well appointed and full of character. Built in the 1920's, it was originally an apartment building and hotel rooms, which does leave each room to be slightly different. You never know quite what you're going to get in the rooms. But you can count on comfortable beds, great closet space, and stellar service. The front desk is kind and always go above and beyond, Kaitlyn, Jose, and the rest of the front desk crew are always ready to greet you with a smile. Johannes at the concierge desk is a delight and ready to help. The hotel is connected to a nice restaurant, Nubar, which also serves as the breakfast buffet location. Breakfast is not free, but if you have Marriott Titanium and above you do get vouchers. The wait staff in the morning are wonderful, although I can't recall everyone's name, I had a great pleasure getting to know Claudia. The Commander truly became a home away from home. I hope to visit again soon!

This is a very nice place. The neighborhood is good and quiet. It is a 7-minute walk to the Central T subway station. That station is one block either way from MIT/Kendall or Harvard Square. It is otherwise 15 or 20 minutes walk to MIT, for example. The room was good, with air conditioner and fan. WiFi worked very well and they had a good desk. Hosts are very nice as well. There is no breakfast, but they do leave out fruit and there is a kitchen. Overall, a nice stay.

地理位置很好，比較安全，吃飯方便，步行去MIT，哈佛也很近，附近有超市target，有一家韓國超市，東西很豐富，水果蔬菜都很新鮮。還有一家自助火鍋店，27.99刀/人，人很多。但是酒店好像是10am—6pm前台才有人，不過酒店會把入住房間的密碼提前郵件發給客人，自己輸密碼進房間就行。另外，如果需要打掃房間可能需要跟前台預約，反正我住了幾天沒人打掃衞生，不過樓道里有紙杯、餐巾、香皂、一次性餐盤刀叉等自取

This was a wonderful hotel for our visit. Our room was already available upon. A bit of an early arrival. We received friendly front desk service and had no problems with checking in. We found it to be clean and spacious. Everything was clean and provided a comfortable place each night. Close to MIT. We were able to get a car easily when going into Boston. Appreciated the cost compared to staying directly in Boston.

PPengguna Tetamu就在肯德爾地鐵站邊上，有燒水壺還送了兩瓶礦泉水和小零食，預售斤100美元也退房時準時給退了。還不錯。古色古香的酒店。就在麻省旁邊。辦理入住也很順暢，機場過來SL1免費，轉紅色線就到了。

PPengguna TetamuEverything was perfect about our stay from fulfilling our request for a higher floor room with a view, to the breakfast staff meeting our request for a ”hot” vegetarian item. We were leaving at about 5am on the final day and the breakfast doesn't open until 6:30am/7am, but the staff was very nice enough for us to let us pick a few bakery and refrigerated items for to go that early morning. The room was VERY spacious with a fully stocked kitchen with pots and pans. It was very helpful for the Uber Eats delivery we had one of the nights as we could eat in the ”real” plates and use the silverware. We put the left overs in the fridge. The entire staff of the hotel was very respectful and ever smiling. Having a Starbucks attached to the hotel was great and the exit thru the Starbucks to the parking garage was super convenient.

PPengguna Tetamu酒店基本上沒有服務，從check in開始，前台姐姐的態度就像別人欠她500萬似的，喪着個臉。第一天房間都沒有打掃，特意打了電話第二天才來打掃的房間。之前看評論説服務不好，沒想到不好到這個程度。房間裏有兩個大床，帶孩子住着比較舒服。設施比較齊全，房間裏有保險櫃，樓層裏有洗衣房。離地鐵走路10分鐘比較近，酒店右邊沒有吃飯的地方也沒有超市。但周邊環境特別好，可以晨跑。停車不免費，25刀/天吧，我們停了一晚。停車費需要到酒店前台交。

PPengguna TetamuMy husband and I visited Boston in December 2022. We stayed at The Royal Sonesta Boston and it was a perfect stay. The customer service was top notch. From Larry greeting you with a smile and checking in our luggage before our room was ready, to the front desk team, to the staff in the restaurant. We were completely blown away by the ROYAL service. If the weather is rainy and undesirable, I highly recommend eating at the onsite restaurant Art Bar - so good! There's a mall close by, just a quick 2-minute walk. Has any store you could need. We were able to get cash for tips there, since the hotel's ATM was currently broken.

SSteve SWe were up for the weekend with my brother and sister in law for the Harvard Dartmouth football game. The place is well located right off the Harvard campus and near to most of the Cambridge museums, restaurants, bars, etc. I understand that Cambridge is expensive, ($309 per night) but our room was tiny. My wife's closet is much bigger. Minimum amenities (no kleenex) Room service (maid) non-existent. The breakfast was so-so. Our room was on the 3d floor with extremely steep stairs with no one to help lug bags up to the room. Both my wife and I are in our 70s with disabilities and it was a tough chore to climb those steep stairs with our bags. Most unbelievable though was there was no way to control the temperature in the room. Granted it was unseasonably warm for late October, but I have no idea how anyone can manage to stay there in the summer! We had the window as wide open as possible and got a small fan from the manager but we were HOT both nights we were there. In general, management was distant cool and unfriendly. If this was a $50/ night flop house, I'd understand, but for $309 per night the place just isn't worth it.

CClimber45810064073Nice large hotel in a fairly central location. Easy to get to the Interstate, downtown and Logan airport. When we first arrived we thought the neighbourhood was sketchy but actually it was fine. We walked to the T station in 10 mins, and Cambirdgeside mall in about 12 mins with no issues. There is car parking on site which was fine, quite expensive though. The rooms themselves were clean, very spacious actually and quite modern. Our bathroom was huge, I don't know if that was unique to us, but very nice. Staff were extremely friendly and we had no issues during our stay. The breakfast was tasty with a lot of options. There was a pancake making machine which I hadn't seen before which was a pleasant surprise. The dining area itself was a little cramped though. Overall a good place to stay in Boston, fairly well priced compared to other establishments.
