Hotel Best Cambrils

All good in Best Cambrils. Excellent hotel. Great location . Next to very clean beach. Next to Salou. Next to Cambrils. Super bus service outside for both. €2.10. 2 hour Train to Barcelona from Cambrils. Hotel clean and very well run. Rooms excellent. Buffet very good. Good fish selection. Good fresh pizza. Good desserts.fresh veg etc. Only complaint for me was no muesli , no fruit cocktail mix or individual yogurts for brekkie . Was cornflakes, grapefruit and oranges in halves and bowls of natural yogurt. But that's just my opinion. Labeling of all the foods is a must as we were unsure and not familiar with all the varied and lovely dishes .

TANTO LAS CAMARERAS DE PISOS Y TODO EL PERSONAL DE COMEDOR y RECEPCIÓN, , NO PUEDE SER MEJOR Y POCO SE PUEDE MEJORAR. AUNQUE TODO ES MEJORABLE. PERO EN ESTE CASO, POCO O MUY POCO. UN SALUDO.

Don’t let the bad reviews put you off, I stayed for 4 nights, with my dad and sister - both of us in our twenties, and we had a lovely time. Not sure if the rooms justify 4 stars in terms of size, however they were really clean and beds were comfortable with extra pillows provided. Safe in the room is also free to use. The air con wasn’t great the first 2 days but then all of a sudden kicked in and worked fine. Enjoyed the food, always a decent choice on the buffet, as well as meat/fish from the grill every lunch and dinner, most things were nicely flavoured. Also the pizzas were amazing, definitely the best thing they do! My sister is a fussy eater and doesn’t usually enjoy all inclusive but even she said the food was good and always found something different to eat. One of the best things about this hotel was that the doors to the pool area don’t open until 9am! So no worrying about having to get up at sunrise to put your towels out, we thought this was a great idea and more hotels should do this! All inclusive drinks were great, self serve during the day - soft drinks, sangria and beer on tap, and even a cocktail machine with about 8 to choose from. Not a lot to see within walking vicinity but 10 min bus ride to Cambrils and about 15 min bus to Salou, about 2 euros each way. Would highly recommend going to Cambrils, it’s beautiful - lots of restaurants and shops, and the marina. Completely different feel to where the hotel is located. I guess the main con’s to this hotel would be the entertainment - very catered towards the Spanish guests. The hotel is also probably not the most kid friendly, mainly due to the dinner not opening until 7:30pm and kids disco not until 9:30pm, there didn’t seem to be much going on for them throughout the day. We was allocated one of the rooms next to the unfenced roof top (as mentioned in another recent review) and agree this is dangerous and anyone staying with children would need to take extra care as they could easily climb over the balcony and come to harm. We did not experience rude staff, but possibly with the language barrier it could come across this way. Not overly friendly however the majority would say hello or smile back. Also worth mentioning they all seem to work really long hours, it would be the same people serving you at the bar morning right through until night! Overall a very decent hotel and would recommend if you’re looking for a chilled time around the pool with plenty to eat and drink, would book again if going to the area!

I’m a vegetarian (no meat, fish, or eggs), and I emailed the hotel beforehand to ensure they could meet my dietary requirements. However, when I arrived late the first night, they only had non-vegetarian plates ready for check-in, and the buffet was closed. They said they couldn't do anything about it. Luckily, I had snacks, as everything else was closed by that time. I hoped the following day would be better, but it wasn't. When I spoke to the kitchen staff, they rudely told me that everything was buffet-style, and I had to choose from what was available. For vegetarians, there was only pizza, fries, pasta, and salads each day. The fries were soggy, and the pasta was very cold. I stayed there for four days and started feeling sick from eating the same cold food every day. Even if you inform them about your dietary requirements, they don’t seem to care. Also, you could not take food to your room or outside, and they don't provide water bottles to take to your room or outside. You can only get water from the bars and buffet area. Nothing can be taken out; you must eat and drink there.

4 stars not 5 due to very very poor wifi throughout the hotel (apart from the dining room) that aside, could not fault the hotel or the staff, also plenty of choice when dining and well staffed so places were cleared quickly. Thank you all for making our much needed week long break very enjoyable.

Many good things about this hotel however many more things that NEED improvement. The evening Entertainment was SHOCKING. So many adults bored including us. Just same old music which was more for the children.so after 3 evenings waiting for some good entertainment or a disco I asked about it to the entertainment girl she was saying you need to ask for the music you like to be played so I did and it ended up with just the one song then went back to rubbish music that NO adults were dancing to. No Fun At all. Not even evening bingo to win cash would have been an assist to the hotel Entertainment. No wonder most went elsewhere and went to bed early. THIS NEEDS LOOKING INTO and improving to keep your hotel guests happy. No lively entertainment around the pool area too. One lifeguard (sos) mainly sat looking at his phone and occasionally told people not to jump or have their inflatables around a certain part of the pool area. All of this really let the hotel down.

Just back from a weeks holiday at the best hotel cambrils booked two pool view rooms to be told I hadn’t when I got there and then asked for another amount of money the receptionist was rude and no warm welcome at all . There was five people in our group one who is disabled and sent to a small room no wear near the lifts which was told to find out it was at the other end of the corridors. Clean rooms and hotel areas the restaurant was ok not a lot of choice and no menu for children vegans or vegetarian at all and not labelled correctly at all . A lot of Spanish over 65 plus and very rude and they seemed to be looked after better , pool area ok plenty of sunbaths but at peak season may struggle life guard very miserable and stopped a lot of children having fun . Entertainment there wasn’t any at all kids clubs was a joke for families and no entertainment around the pool area at all . We did mov rooms after complaining to the jet to rep to a bigger room but wasn’t the ones a did book from the start and there was other families as well . Cambrils is a lovely place and the old town is beautiful solua town is lovely as well but the hotel it’s self is no way a 4* and the staff on reception really need some more training in customer service escially if there the first people you see when arrived and the bus drops you off across the road so if got mobility problems bear this in mind . Would go back to costa dorado but not in this hotel we paid a lot of money for holiday and expected better service the drinks are limited on exclusive as well and cocktails are like water from a machine . There’s better hotels in the same area some of the bar staff and restaurants staff work very hard and some have got a rude attitude towards English people being there. One lovely lady on reception she a credit to the hotel and works hard to help you but the others 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️.

Second time we have been here… Bad choice (again). The air conditioning does NOT work, it is just a very low speed fan at best! Both holidays here have been ruined because of this. So so hot and stuffy in the rooms especially at night. Everyone complaining. Same, both holidays, 5 years apart. They say they will look at it but nothing changes. I can’t say just how uncomfortable it is. Most staff are miserable and rude, and seem to hate the English. Spanish get priority and push in front. So expressionless and non-verbal, it’s like they are taking the mick out of you to see what they can get away with. My game is to be rude back and watch them freeze and stare at you - fine, I won’t come back, your job is at risk surely? Hotel is clean, and the food and drinks are nice (but same every day and night), but you have to be comfortable on holiday, and when you are made to feel like you shouldn’t be here it kind of spoils it. Shame, Jet2 Holidays has always been great over the years (was Thomas Cook when we came here last time). Will not return to this hotel. Bonus - the railway line right at the back that everyone moaned about last time has been removed! No noise. Conclusion: You will sweat to death in your tiny, stuffy sauna bedroom… Getting ready is uncomfortable. Sleeping is so hot and it’s May. July / August will be unbearable! Rooms far too small for families, little storage, you live out of your case. Staff awful. Food and drinks ok.

Hotel very clean food very good something different most days. Staff helpful and friendly will definitely go back. Drinks at inside barok but cocktails from pool bar self service out of machine so not very nice. The beach is very close just over the road. Night time entertainment was ok
