We did a family vacation to the Philippines. We stayed in four different hotels during our trip, and Agoho Resort was easily the best and the favorite as voted on by all seven folks in my group. Be it the black sand beach in their backyard, their fantastic manicured garden to get to the beach, the restaurant that catered only to guests, the large and stupendously clean rooms, the location and ease to get about, or the assistance to explain tourists spots, restaurants, and expected costs - this place was bonkers good. And the owners are so very easy to talk to, not out of need but because they like interacting with their guests. And there may be a varied selection of beers at the hotel that I couldn't find anywhere else about the island. I was so impressed, I took a video and circulated it amongst my coworkers and friends. That sounds normal in today's world, but I hate doing that. Agoho was such an escape and a wonderful experience, I wanted others to see and hear about it. We plan to revisit the Philippines in the coming years, and we will be staying at Agoho again, likely with many of our friends.

Amazing resort at Camiguin island, Jerome is super host. Beautiful resort with beautiful people/staff. They take care every single bits of your daily needs. The rooms are big and beautifully designed, love it to every bit details they put. You dont need to buy water since they put the water dispenser at the room, coffee, tea at your choice for free. Super super love with their services. We got 2 rooms since we are 6 in the family, we are dog lovers, so this an adding points for us. Jerome told us the story how he rescued the dogs, amazing guy with a golden heart. Btw you can eat breakfast at anytime, they will prepare it once you are ready for it, unlike in other resorts, they have the limited time. This is an adding points if you are late riser. In our case, we need to go early since we have the sea activities, so we requested them to prepare it early and no huss at all. What I love the most was, the privacy, only 3 villas, so if you need to unwind and just relax with your family and loved ones, this is the best place to be. Looking forward for our next visit here. My parents enjoyed the serenity in Nouveau. All staffs are friendly. The room is spacious and design is well-thought off. My niece loved the birthday surprise prepared by Nouveau. We'll surely be back.

When planning my Camiguin trip, one place stood out on where to stay. Balai is just a few kms. from the town proper and the airport and is suitably located near restaurants as well as to the boats for White Island. I loved the place -- small but secluded, clean, tastefully designed and quiet as its far from the Circumferential Road. The reception staff headed by Rachel was very attentive and helpful as she led and oriented us to our villa. I also had a chance to meet one of the owners Alessandra on the day of our check out. Our villa was spacious and comfy with a strong AC (to counter the summer heat) and of course a delightful private pool. Really enjoyed a night swim with a bright half-moon overhead. Breakfast was a choice of 3 set menus. They had a poolside bar and a restaurant where we did not avail as we opted for outside recommendations. I would definitely and highly recommend this boutique resort especially to honeymooners and couples who are into scuba diving as Alessandra and her hubby are into this activity. I'm sure they'll have a lot to share on this.

A very colorful place to stay esp on a budget for 4pax in a room just big enough for sleeping. Good location in going to white island within walking distance to checkpoint area (urban area with resto n stores/PARAS) and other eastern tourist spots. Located near church and Transpo (motorela) is less than a minute walk to the hiway for the wait. Nice and relaxing ambiance of the garden just outside the room, plenty of area to sit or roam around. FREE WIFI sign on the front desk but staff did not give details upon check-in and waited for us to ask for it. Bfast is available upon request but other alternative meals just outside the resort is also available. Motorcycle rates at the resort are high compared to canvassed online rates available at the airport upon arrival. Left the luggage before going out the next day and the staff is more than willing to safely keep our things outside our rooms for 5pm pick-up.
