Hotel di , Cannes

I was excited to return to Hotel Splendid after staying every January for the music festival for 10 years between 2002 and 2012. The hotel staff are still as polite and friendly, especially the bar manager. There has been some nice upgrades, the breakfast room changes into a bar from 5pm, and the bedding is of a good quality, but the rest is a little tired. Our room 208 was large, had a great view and small balcony, but the smallest bathroom I’ve ever been in and a separate WC. We had big issues with sewage smells from the separate WC, and on our second night it was so bad we asked the hotel night Manger if he could move us, which unfortunately he couldn’t, the hotel was full. I made the night manager come into our room so he could experience the foul smell we were having the injure, and he was disgusted. On check out the hotel manager looked at us when we complained as if it was acceptable to be sleeping in a room with a terrible raw sewage smell, all they would do is comp the breakfast. So to summarise, we would NEVER stay at this hotel again. And we would advise you not to pay in advance for your stay if you can, so that if you have this awful sewage smell you have a little more to bargain with, and if they can’t change your room, then move out of the hotel, there are many other options around you. The hotel management could have given us a lot better service this morning, and this review would have been slightly better, shame on you Hotel Splendid.

Very friendly, welcoming staff in all departments of the hotel. Huge comfortable rooms with huge beds. Despite being in a fabulous, historic location (route Napoleon) just steps from the sea, the old town, etc, the rooms are quiet. Enjoyed a visit to the spa for a massage. If you wish to have the Sunday Brunch make sure to book in advance.

Отель очень понравился. Было очень чисто. Номер совсем небольшой. Единственное парковки при отеле нет, только частная которая за 24 часа стоит 37 евро (которую предложил отель). Но есть также рядом другая, которая за 24 часа стоит 27€.

Nous avons passé 5 nuits dans cet établissement 🏨. Le point fort de l’hôtel est sa situation Géographique, en plein centre de Cannes à proximité de nombreux restaurants et de boutiques de luxe. Nous avons été bien reçu lors de notre arrivée cependant sur 5 jour la femme de ménage 🧹 n’est passé qu’une seule fois sous prétexte du « covid », pour qu’elle veuille bien faire notre chambre il a fallu aller faire une réclamation à l’accueil puisqu’elle ne voulait pas la faire. La chambre n’avais qu’une seule fenêtre qui donnait sur un mur, de plus il y avait beaucoup d’odeurs qui venaient d’en bas. Nous avons eus un lit double qui était en fait deux matelas simple collé qui bougeaient dans la nuit ☹️. Un peux déçu 😔 car l’hôtel a beaucoup de potentiel.

Non è un hotel di lusso, ma ha dalla sua diversi punti a favore, tra cui la pulizia (sia nelle camere che negli spazi comuni), la posizione (a due passi spaccati dalla Croisette e dalla stazione) e la cortesia degli albergatori (i quali si sforzano forse di compensare la poca attrattiva dell'albergo con tanta gentilezza e disponibilità). In camera le due mancanze maggiori sono il frigobar (indispensabile in estate per tenere l'acqua al fresco) e un comodino, e il bagno è un po' piccolo e sacrificato, però tutto sommato, per qualche giorno, si sta comunque comodi. La colazione sarebbe migliorabile con un po' di frutta e qualche briosche/dolcetto in più. In conclusione, un buon 2 stelle, comodo e senza pretese.
