Disappointing stay overall and not up to Hilton standards. We paid 75€ for one night without breakfast and no wifi. There was no internet for the first day and we had to stay on the phone with the IT employee and front desk until midnight, after a while one employee came to the room to check the wifi and it was still not working, then another employee came in. Then they made me come with them to an another room to check the wifi and it was still not working. Then I had to go with them downstairs in the lobby and that’s when it finally connected. I had to postpone the work I needed to do on my computer. It was exhausting and nearly 2am by that time and they confirmed that we wouldn’t have any internet for the first night which is honestly not ok for that price and at Hilton. They could’ve offered some sort of compensation or a goodwill gesture (a discount, a basket, a bottle, breakfast, literally anything?) like any other hotel would’ve done in this situation, but they didn’t. The next day, we spoke with the front desk staff and they just kept staring at us without offering anything either. Very strange and disappointing.
Apart from this, the hotel itself is ok and there are restaurants in the building. A free shuttle takes you to V&A waterfront every day. There’s a tiny supermarket in front of the hotel but it’s a bit pricey and very dirty, filled with cockroaches.
The room is spacious, and on a sunny day, you can see Table Mountain. The bathroom was not very clean and the sink was clogged.
Beds are comfortable but only one side has a socket and USB ports.
