Nice comfortable room with direct view of the Table Mountain; The pool sides were dirty and we were not keen at all to use the pool area due the lack of cleanliness; Overall service at the restaurant can be improved (a little smile from the team would be great)

I had seen this hotel on my last trip to Cape Town almost 10 years ago. I had decided then itself - on my next visit to Cape Town - I am going to stay at the Bay Hotel. I am glad I could make it happen. This is an absolutely amazing hotel - the location is perfect - right across from the beach at Camps Bay, Table Mountain is in the background and just drop dead gorgeous views all around. The area is relatively safe for tourists with lots of shopping and upscale restaurants within walking distance. Rooms are quite large with comfortable furnishings and a seating area plus balcony. The bathrooms are huge with a full bath and dual vanity. If I had to complain- the only thing I would say is that the wifi was a bit slow and that the TV seemed to be 15 years old in my room. Who cares, I was too busy taking in the view outside! A buffet breakfast (cooked to order) was included in my room rate and was amazing! The breakfast area does get crowded though so make sure you go ahead of the main rush hour (I had to wait over 20 min to find a seat). The hotel has a large swimming pool and a spa and I believe it is possible to make day reservations on the swimming pool deck (please confirm). Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful as well. Just FYI - the CPT international airport is about 30-40 min away depending on the time of the day. An Uber ride will cost you around $20 to get there. All in all - I loved my stay at the Bay Hotel. I am 100% staying there again on my next trip to Cape Town.

The Azure Restaurant for evening dinner. Out waitress Rebecca was absolutely first class. She was very knowledgeable about the South African wines and helped us choose a lovely SA bubbly to go with our oysters. Unfortunately, my husbands main course The King clip was just enough for a six year old! It was tasteless and greasy, pan fried and oily. The dessert of rice pudding was lovely. When Rebecca asked us about the meal, my husband, who never complains, mentioned his tasteless but expensive King clip, no one from the kitchen came out and apologised or offered to reduce the bill! We always like to leave a 10 % in cash to our server. However, we noticed on the bill, that a 12.5% service charge had already been added. Rebecca who looked after us should get this and not the hotel. Customers should not be expected to pay for a service twice! Poor show from The 12 Apostles management. Don't rip off your customers. Finally, we we're waiting for our Ubber, when Pippa the night's manager asked us about our evening. My husband informed her about our experience. She said she would make sure that Rebecca would get the 12.5% service charge and look into the poor fish main course. I don't think we would go there again, since Cape Town has some fantastic restaurants, who offer value for money.

This was my third visit to Ashby Manor but definitely not the last! Individually designed rooms, beautiful views on first and second floors, eclectic artwork and furniture, great amenities in the rooms, fridge, kettle, tea, coffee. Very comfortable beds, and very warm and friendly staff.

El hotel está situado justo al lado de donde se toma el ”Hop on Hop off bus” lo cual está muy bien. Está entre ”Green Market Square” y la calle ”Long Street” En esta plaza se ponen desde temprano los puestos de venta artesanales. He leído quejas sobrer el ruido por las mañana al montar los puestos (ya que deben montar temprano y desmontar a partir de las 5 pm) pero en realidad no es molesto. Yo tuve una mala experiencia ya que a las 7 pm me robaron en la calle entre el hotel y la iglesia que da a la Plaza. Me robaron mi teléfono móvil. Hay mucha gente pidiendo que les compres comida o que les des comida, tengan mucho cuidado. El personal del hotel es muy amable y servicial. Las habitaciones son básicas. La cama es cómoda, el baño es algo estrecho, no muy cómodo. El día de mi check-out no había nadie en la recepción del hotel atendiendo. Eran las 5:50 am. Había un grupo llegando para hacer check-in, pero no había pesonal en recepción para atenderlos. La piscina es pequeña, está en la azotea, pero el área es realmente muy pequeña. El gym cuenta con lo básico. El desayuno es correcto, fruta, huevos, cortes fríos, quesos, panes y cereales. Te puedes sentar en la terraza o dentro. Contaban también con pan sin gluten a petición.

Very nice accommodation in the height of Muizenberg. Comfy, friendly and very well located. Everything you need was available. Smooth check in and covid compliant. Will definitely consider to come back for my next trips there...
