Myself and partner stayed here as we were going to see a gig at the Cardiff arena, location was amazing for this as is so close and also close to the bars, restaurants etc. Staff were lovely and friendly and hotel was nice and clean. No faults.

Perfect Hotel to explore Cardiff! Really central. Lovely friendly staff. In fact every single person we met in Cardiff was so so friendly! Couldn't believe how quiet it was in the rooms considering we were there on a Six Nations weekend. Superb security on a Six Nations weekend that ensured only residents could access the Hotel. The rooms are compact, but perfectly formed, you have everything you need!! Bed was super comfy too! We didn't opt for breakfast so can't comment on that, but I would highly recommend this great Hotel. We would absolutely return!

It is a budget hotel and does the basics well enough. Staff were friendly and polite and breakfast was as good as I have had in ”posher” places. The food served in the evening is best avoided but it doesn't claim to be a restaurant. Servicing of rooms unpredictable. Sometimes the room would be serviced while I took breakfast, sometimes after lunch, perhaps my only complaint, but of no conséquence to the overnight taveller.

We stayed at the Hilton Cardiff for four days at the end of March 2023. We really enjoyed our stay! The people at reception made us feel very welcomed, and couldn’t have been nicer! ALL of the people who work here were extremely friendly and helpful. We wanted to give a special thank you to Mark, the night manager. He was always cheerful - at the beginning AND at the end of his shift in the morning, which is not easy! He even kindly got us a bucket of ice very early one morning when my wife hurt her knee as she was stepping out of bed and the bed rolled away from her. We spoke to Mark about the incident, and hopefully, by now, they have fixed the “rolling coasters with no brakes on the box springs” problem. Mark was so kind and concerned about her fall that he checked on her twice - right after the incident and even the next day, which was the last day of our stay. The breakfast buffet had an excellent variety of hot and cold food offerings and was maintained to perfection by the attentive and efficient staff! The buffet was hosted by Bassam, who was very personable and interesting to talk with. The executive lounge was lovely, with beverages and a few snacks available throughout the day. There is an evening manager’s reception and some savory finger foods were offered each night. Our room had a stunning view of Cardiff Castle and the castle grounds! We would happily return to Hilton Cardiff, and we thank them for making our stay really memorable and pleasant. As a side note, we took the Cardiff Castle Ghost Tour and highly recommend it! It’s great to be able to tour the castle at night, and the two hosts were full of fun facts and historical information about the beautiful and “over the top” decor of the castle!

Staff is very friendly and helpful! In the morning I check out the lady at the counter offered to help me store my luggage so I can take a look at the city without burden. The waiter in the restaurant upstairs is also helpful that he helps take the meal downstairs for me for takeaway(but I still suggest them to get paper boxes for food delivery). However after asking for toothbrush at night the staff forgot to bring me one so I have to get down to take it. Overall nice, will revisit next time!

Easy Hotel is basic but easy to find, I got a basement one. It was neat and tidy but had funny smell, bed was comfy and everything worked fine. I am a big guy, so it felt a little small, easy checking in and out. Happy to hold my bag, Very very reasonably priced. Coffee shop and Wetherspoon around the corner for breakfast.

I felt very welcomed when entering the hotel and checking in. The room and bed were both relatively large and spacious for two people, as was the shower. My personal observation was that the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner but overall the room and the entire hotel was in very good condition.

It is not the hotel thats the problem but the hotel owner/ manager. Not only was he blunt but his customer service is appalling. His staff was coping very well but he had to interfere under mining them as well as us ,as guests I am a 62 year old married man and being told that now hes got our money he can order us out, i dont think is the correct attitude to have dealing with his guests and this was before we even got our room keys. If it wasnt for customers as myself his business wouldn't survive and after the covid epidemic , you would think he would take more appreciation than putting people off to stay at his hotel I have travelled the world and never done a review before but i couldn't let future guests be dealt with in such a disrespectful manner as this hotelier treated me

Great location. Lobby area nice and a good breakfast. BUT Our room was on Level 5 and it desperately needed updating plus a deep clean. It faced outwards and caught the sun in the afternoon so it was really warm at night and all we had was a small desk fan wafting warm air around. We couldn’t leave the window open as it was far too noisy outside and I was still woken up every morning at 5am by bin lorries and loud bangs with the window closed. No courtesy bottle of water in the room but apparently you’re safe to drink the water from the bathroom tap! I got such a lengthy patronising talk from what I presume was the manager for asking if we could have a bottle of water after seeing a box of them on reception! Most members of staff were friendly but he was just irritating. At checkout I wasn’t even asked how our stay was and I would’ve liked to reiterate how awful the room was I had told a previous staff person on the first day and I was told they were so busy and fully occupied they don’t have time to update and maintain rooms?!? Very odd response to me but I didn’t want to do prolong the debate. I just found it all really disappointing and for that reason will not be staying there again.

Stayed 2 nights. When we arrived there was no remote in the room, went down to reception and got a remote 10 minutes later. First morning breakfast was short staff, he did explain this. Cooked breakfast you have to order not help yourself which is disappointing. Second day lady said we couldn't have 7.30 breakfast as there was a big group booking and said is 7.15 ok. We said yes as it needed to be early as l was running the Cardiff half. Arrived at 7.15 to the restaurant to be told we didn't have a booking. Was told in not a very good manner to go to reception as she couldn't do anything.Went to reception where the lady who booked our breakfast for 7.:15 was and another member of staff was. She said she booked it in for 7.15 and then total ignored us and at no point said sorry. They left us standing there for 5 minutes after we explained the situation doing other paperwork. I had to then say what's happening then. At no point did anyone say sorry the only option they gave was a refund on the breakfast. I said l needed to have a breakfast as l was running the Cardiff half he took us back to the restaurant. The lady said we could take some food back to our room and l told her we was having a cooked breakfast back our room and she agreed but you could tell she didn't want to. At no point was this offered which would of made the situation better. Walking back to the room we saw 2 other couple's who had the same problem. After breakfast l did speak to the manager who came in at 7.30. Again no sorry just l will refund your breakfast and here is a card to complain. We e-mailed it took more the 15 days to reply which is the time frame they say. It took over 3 weeks. E-mail was a waste of time as the staff lied and said they told us to come down at 7.00 because of the big booking and we arrived at 7.15 when it was fully booked.Awful customer services at this hotel will not be returning again.

Everything was too much trouble, the rooms were not up to the usual Premier Inn standards, the pillows we poor quality and filthy, which they begrudgingly changed, in our friends room the bedsheets had about 5 or six thick repair seams in it. the breakfast was its usual good quality, although the floors were filthy, and hadn't been cleaned since the evening service as there were slices of pepperoni pizza etc on the floor. We ordered food on our first evening, as we arrived late in the day, and having eaten in the Thyme restaurants many times we know the food is good, one of the party ordered a plain burger, as they dont like sauces etc, the food came with everything, when we asked that they replace, all we got was oh you csn just take it off, and walked away, we had to get the manager to sort it.Our room tv was well playing up, very slow to start and change channel, but the funniest bit was as we left on Sunday we couldn't turn it off. We were in Cardiff for the rugby 🏉 and have a long weekend break to recharge batteries. And celebrate 30th anniversary and birthdays. Although the service was bad n cleanliness left a lot to be desired it hasn't put us off Premier Inns, and the location of this one is ideal with large carpark facilities next door. Would probably use the new one in the centre in future though.

I stayed here for a business trip for one week. The room seemed to be clean but it is so dark that you can’t really tell if it is clean or not. That’s actually an issue - the lightening is bad. I couldn’t really work in the room since it had only a yellow ambient lightening and not a normal main source of light. The bathroom can be slightly cold if you don’t leave the door open so that warm air from the A/C can enter. It is shameful that they don’t have a breakfast included, especially for long stays in the hotel which is not so cheap and out of the center… at least one small sandwich would make things better, but nop 👎🏼. Another thing is that the area is not very nice. Unless you have to do something in that area, i don’t recommend you to stay. I was even told by taxi drivers to not walk around alone after it gets dark. Before I knew that, I did take a walk and it really felt a bit unsafe. The staff was ok, I didn’t have much contact with them. Only had an incident when I arrived - they couldn’t find me in their system (it was booked under other name by mistake but I actually changed it a week before arrival so I don’t know why they didn’t have updated information). There is a small gym, but almost all machines, except one, are for cardio exercises. Almost no restaurants or shops in the area.

This was a nice little place to stay everything is central to where I needed to be and go too, the town centre is literally less than 10mins away and the train station is also. I traveled down for the WWE Clash At The Castle Event at the principality stadium which was right opposite where I was staying, so I didn't have to travel to far. The room was spacious and very clean, toilet and shower(nice and hot too) & was very clean aswell. Overall enjoyed it here.

Great location. Lobby area nice and a good breakfast. BUT Our room was on Level 5 and it desperately needed updating plus a deep clean. It faced outwards and caught the sun in the afternoon so it was really warm at night and all we had was a small desk fan wafting warm air around. We couldn’t leave the window open as it was far too noisy outside and I was still woken up every morning at 5am by bin lorries and loud bangs with the window closed. No courtesy bottle of water in the room but apparently you’re safe to drink the water from the bathroom tap! I got such a lengthy patronising talk from what I presume was the manager for asking if we could have a bottle of water after seeing a box of them on reception! Most members of staff were friendly but he was just irritating. At checkout I wasn’t even asked how our stay was and I would’ve liked to reiterate how awful the room was I had told a previous staff person on the first day and I was told they were so busy and fully occupied they don’t have time to update and maintain rooms?!? Very odd response to me but I didn’t want to do prolong the debate. I just found it all really disappointing and for that reason will not be staying there again.

Easy Hotel is basic but easy to find, I got a basement one. It was neat and tidy but had funny smell, bed was comfy and everything worked fine. I am a big guy, so it felt a little small, easy checking in and out. Happy to hold my bag, Very very reasonably priced. Coffee shop and Wetherspoon around the corner for breakfast.

Perfect Hotel to explore Cardiff! Really central. Lovely friendly staff. In fact every single person we met in Cardiff was so so friendly! Couldn't believe how quiet it was in the rooms considering we were there on a Six Nations weekend. Superb security on a Six Nations weekend that ensured only residents could access the Hotel. The rooms are compact, but perfectly formed, you have everything you need!! Bed was super comfy too! We didn't opt for breakfast so can't comment on that, but I would highly recommend this great Hotel. We would absolutely return!
