Cardston Inn

This was the worst stay of our ten day trip. The newly renovated room featured a very old and run down bathroom, a very hard and uncomfortable bed, no end tables (you don't realize how weird this is until you experience it), and a weird and nasty staff that yelled at us for daring to show up for breakfast at 6:28 AM when the breakfast was not to open until 6:30 AM. We drove on and had breakfast somewhere else. I get that this is a budget motel, but it is not worth the money. If you are considering a stay here, drive on down the road and find somewhere else!

We stayed at the Cardston Inn June 24-26,2023. The gentleman checking us in told us they had recently taken the motel over and were in the process of updating the rooms. The room was simple and looked clean. When we attempted to unlock the dead bolt it several minutes to unlock, scary in case of fire. The shower head pointed to the wall and was unusable. We mentioned it to him and both were fixed by the time we came back from our day's sightseeing. I said to the lady that ran the place I was unaware they didn't have blow dryers. To which she replied, 'I guess not! People keep stealing them. You need to ask at the office.' Perhaps this could be posted in the room. The Continental breakfast was good, the muffins appeared to be homemade and were delicious. In the morning I was going to make coffee. The pot had not been cleaned and had a thick scum of old coffee on the bottom. I told her, ' I put some water to dissolve the bottom of the coffee pot, and I'm returning the hair blower.' She rolled her eyes, told me she didn't have extra hands and breakfast wasn't ready yet. We were packing up our vehicle. Didn't have plans on having breakfast Both proprietors were sitting outside in front of their suite when we were ready to checkout. my husband went to return the key, thank them and wish them well in their renovating endeavors. Well, the woman came completely unglued. She YELLED, 'Nothing seems to be good enough. I don't know what you expect!! Nothing but negativity!!' With that she got up, slammed the doors of their suite so hard that the windows rattled. My husband said to the man that he meant nothing negative by his comment. I've been in Customer Service my whole life. The way this woman treats her customers was truly shocking. They are both undeniably hard working individuals. But do not bite the hand of your source of income. Word of mouth is a valuable advertising source. And this sort of Customer Service will turn around to bite you in the ****.

Shelley and Rob were fantastic hosts. Great 3 month stay while we built our home. They work so hard to keep the Cardston Inn clean and troublesome guests away. Absolutely no bugs seen. Shelley happens to also be a fabulous cook and baker. Thank you both! Jannean and Paul

I’m 70 years old. This is what motels were like in the 60’s. When I pay $60 for a room when everyone else wants $150, I don’t complain! The shower pressure was great! I swear it could peel the paint off a 76 Buick! The beds were beds. I slept great. If you’re going to whine about every little thing, go somewhere else!

I booked this room on a travel site, and was a little nervous when I arrived, as it looks pretty gross even from the outside, I opened the door to the room and was completely horrified to find several roaches on the walls and bathroom. The carpet was absolutely filthy. I couldn't stay there--I had to call a friend who lives an hour away and beg her to let me stay at her place for the night. It was expensive and the owner wouldn't give me my money back when I told them about the bugs (she said "I can't stop the bugs from coming in." Umm, okay, have you heard of an exterminator?). Ultimately, it was so bad I couldn't stay there.

Une honte. Nous avons dormis dans la chambre 202 de ce motel. Outre le fait que rien n'a changé depuis 1970 , ce motel est le plus sale que j'ai vu. Pendant mon séjour de 1 nuit j'ai tué 4 cafard et j'ai vu une punaise de lit. Horrible !!!. Quand je vais voir la propriétaire pour lui dire, celle-ci ment et me dit que c'est faux. Une honte, elle ne c'est même pas excuse. J'espère que les services sanitaires vont venir dans cet endroit horrible. Un conseil allez ailleurs. Je pense que les avis positifs sur ce motel sont faux.
