Ulasan Scandia Motel

Love this little hotel very cute and cozy, I have a large dog and she loved it here as well we took long walks around the area very dog friendly here!

All I have to say is Scandia Motel is the best, we had yet another great stay with them and this time a friend joined us and we all agreed that if your staying in Carlsbad, then Scandia Motel is the place to be. Thanks for another great stay at your motel.

This is by far my favorite hotel to stay at, the staff here including the husband and wife are very very awesome and down to earth they'll make you laugh they'll help you the rooms are always clean there's never a time I come in that they don't give me a good deal and greet me by name this is a great place don't let it fool you

I couldn't take a shower after checking in, the ac heater didn't work, my evening plans were ruined, the next morning I had to awaken the staff regarding the shower, they told me to waoit 20 min , I waited an Hour still no hot water, just tepid.. i overpaid as well the charges went up from 62 to 115.Inot happy with the attitude from the male staff.. instead of accommodating me he argued why I didn't shower the night before, I fell asleep waiting for the water heater to kick on.

Bed was pretty bad and the walls are extremely thin. I could hear all the traffic right outside my door and the other rooms tv. Area isn’t too bad and is close to a lot of nice places.

I usually read reviews 1st, this time I didn't related to we urgently needed a hotel, didn't take the time. The motel was ok for the cost, but right next to train tracks. I was exhausted, before I passed out, I heard minimum 4 trains passing by. Also, I have never been handed 2 remote controls at check-in, and asked for the remotes to be returned at check out.

Made a mistake on the reservation dates. Attempted to change the dates but the motel stated that it was full for 4 different weeks. I was able to make a reserveration through ******* for those dates after the motel lied about being full.

Worst experience ever! It was cheap so I didn’t have high expectations, however I was still disappointed. The bed way broken with the head side sunken and the feet raised, when I told the staff he said “would you like me to turn the mattress around for you” and “there’s a handicapped guest that hasn’t checked in do you want his room”. Also there was blood on the bathroom door and no toilet paper. I was too freaked out to take pictures I got out of there fast. They only refunded me 3 of my 4 nights.

They tried to charge me a $7 fee to use my credit card for the deposit. Never have had that happen before. They wanted a cash deposit. Yeah right! They did eventually end up waiving the fee, but still…

Holes in the blanket. Bad WiFi. Television without function. No warm water in the shower. Never again

The price, I stay here often and they are always very kind and it is right in the village and almost next door to the train station.

Excellent sense of space and love not having any walls connected to potential ignorant noisy people during early late hours..got a good night sleep and staff is friendly/polite..great location
