Amazing place, great rooms and super kind staff. Definitely a place to stay in Geneva. The place is in the charming Carouge, a nice area full of bar and cozy restaurants. Rooms are very quiet and the staff is very kind and supported us during the stay. Recommended !

I recently had the misfortune of booking a stay at Auberge Communale de Carouge through **********, and I can't stress enough how disappointing the experience was.
Upon arrival, I was informed that the hotel was overbooked, despite having a confirmed, prepaid reservation. The reception staff were unhelpful, displaying a complete lack of customer service skills; they could not offer any assistance in finding me another place to stay for the night.
I was left with no choice but to find alternative accommodation on my own and bear the cost again. Given that I had already paid for a room at Auberge Communale de Carouge, this was extremely frustrating and financially burdensome.
What further adds to the disappointment is that there has been no effort from the hotel to make amends or offer any form of compensation.
I strongly discourage anyone from booking at this establishment. It's crucial for a hotel to have dependable reservations and competent staff, and this hotel, unfortunately, fails at both.

This is a lovely hotel situated in one of the main streets of Carouge and just several tramway stops away from the center of Geneva. It is very cosy and comfortable and the Italian owner takes very good care of his guests. There is obviously an excellent Italian restaurant in the house with a wonderful terrace for outdoor dining in summertime. The rooms are comfortable and everything is being done to make you feel at home. Highly recommended !

I was in the music room in the attic. The bed was very comfortable, and the en suite was good. It looked charming, as did the whole hotel. However, there's no aircon, but there was a fan in the room although the window didn't stay open by itself. The outside patio was noisy in the evenings with the window open and the public eating/drinking in the restaurant. However, you cannot eat breakfast outside. This was key for me, as I'm covid-adverse. I asked if I could eat breakfast outside and pointed to the front, the receptionist shook his head and indicated out the back, and yet the 3 times I eat breakfast the back was locked. It was stuffy, and guests coughed and sneezed without covering their faces. Food is less than basic, which surprised me given how much they rate their restaurant! Hot food was toast, and boiled eggs but these are not advertised: you have to guess!

Perfect hotel located in a quite spot a short tram ride away from the centre (the tram stops right outside) but even a walk into the centre was very enjoyable! The staff were very friendly and extra helpful and breakfast and Italian restaurant connected were a bonus the room was spotless and we loved the character of the attic room we will return and will book again! Thank you for making our trip comfortable and effortless

We came upon the auberge in carouge by accident after the Airbnb we'd booked turned out to be shocking, another story!! We booked and within the hour were sat in a lovely, clean and warm room. Quirky style which was just to our liking. Lovely hot shower and very comfortable bed. The continental breakfast in the morning together with the gluten free options for my wife completed a great flying visit to this excellent little gem. Thank you and I'm sorry our French wasn't up to much. Sam and Sarah

Great location and many nice restaurants nearby. The hotel is lovely with friendly / helpful staff and kept clean. The room we had was spacious (although a fridge would be useful). We didn't try the hotel restaurant so cannot comment. The breakfast was great - although one comment I would add is the person in charge, although very helpful, should let the customers time their own boiled eggs! He had the habit of taking the eggs out before they were cooked.... But overall, a very pleasant stay.
