Hotel Caserta dengan Kolam Renang

This lovely hotel is conveniently located in walking distance of very good restaurants, rental car office, and right across the street from the Royal Palace. With wi-fi, air conditioning, and an elevator, the hotel provided everything we wanted, but its true gems are the hard-working and dedicated staff who overwhelmed us with their kindness. The manager Viviana made sure we were comfortable during the extreme heat, and with her team at the front desk, especially Mariana and Emilio, all our questions and needs were taken care of.

Welcome to Bizarro World! The general description of the place on this page was accurate when Plaza Caserta opened. We stayed here overnight on our way to Sorrento in June '24. I have NO idea what happened to this city, and the Google is not giving up her secrets. Everything online is as though the place is preserved as it must have appeared 20 or so years ago. All around, as we drove in, there was economic ruin and utter urban decay. Many condemned and derelict buildings. It felt as though we were on a movie set, and I wasn't sure if it was a comedy or a horror flick. The staff were good enough, but everyone acted as though they didn't notice the opulent hotel they work in was crumbling around them. The pictures posted here seem to be computer renderings before it even opened. That glorious pool? Empty, crumbling, and full of pigeons. That luscious landscaping? Full of weeds and bone dry. This place was amazing when it opened, but we were actually a little scared, at first. HOWEVER, all that said, the room was clean (despite some questionable stains on the couch), HUGE and COOL! Our spacious room had 2 bathrooms! Breakfast was outstanding, and a short walk away (touring through the dilapidated surroundings), we found a very memorable, fresh meal. But, again, everyone was acting as though they were awaiting a bustling crowd, and we were the only ones there. I was in a quandary over how many stars to offer--we had an amazing night's sleep after a very taxing travel day to Rome from US, with a train strike forcing us to hire a taxi to take us there for over 300 pounds. My son was very disappointed in the state of the pool, and, truly, all we wanted to do was go chill out there. Nothing I search reveals why there were so many skeletal remains of what was clearly a bustling city. As I write this, I don't actually expect it will be published because I assume censorship is why there is nothing online about the decay or Caserta.

Insieme alla mia famiglia e al cagnolino, abbiamo avuto il piacere di soggiornare in questo hotel in occasione di due concerti alla Reggia, che è possibile raggiungere in pochi minuti a piedi. Posso dire che tutto il personale, dalla reception al ristorante e le signore delle pulizie, è stato molto gentile e premuroso. Addirittura la signora che ci ha servito la cena ha esaudito col sorriso sulle labbra la nostra richiesta di cenare presto, in vista dei concerti. La camera, una suite junior con annesso terrazzino, era pulita e il mobilio impeccabile. Infine, abbiamo potuto usufruire di un parcheggio a pagamento a pochi metri dalla struttura. Spero davvero di ritornarci al più presto.

Usato come tappa d'interruzione di un lungo viaggio (prenotato direttamente via mail perchè su Booking non v'era più disponibilità) iniziamo con un piccolo momento d'imbarazzo nel dover comunicare che, nel frigo bar della camera, c'è un'acqua parzialmente consumata. Non è il primo hotel che non ha persiane/tapparelle per oscurare gl'infissi ma, se metti la tenda spessa, devi controllare che stia tutta su (e non pensolare in più punti)... altrimenti è inutile! Poi... perché il frigo (al centro della camera e ad 1m da terra) deve avere lo sportello in vetro? ..per avere sta luce che rompe tutta la notte? La doccia: è più l'acqua che viene assorbita dal muro (dimostrato dall'abbondante muffa del muro dell'ingresso) che quella che esce dal doccino! Ed infine... perché devo scegliere la sera prima cosa vorrò a colazione (con scarsa scelta)? Comunque... comoda la posizione al centro e a 2 passi dalla Reggia!
