Hotel Miramare Stabia

I went to this hotel based on previous tripadvisor reviews and it did not disappoint. Helpful staff before and during our stay. Great room with sea view balcony to watch the amazing sunsets. Close to train station for trips to sorrento and Naples and also cable car up Mount Faito which was amazing.

Very nice room, very large room and bathroom, clean, excellent condition, large balcony with sun beds (we had the junior suite for 2 adults, 2 children). Super comfortable beds, which was the first time we slept well on our 3-week Italy trip. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly, particularly Pietro who nearly killed himself to organise us boat trips, restaurants, parking garage, fans for our room, and other requests we had. Raphael, the hotel manager, tried his best to even find us a new hotel after the air con broke down. He also gave us a large discount on the room to make us stay. Views were stunning, location convenient, and parking 150m away wasn’t much of a problem, and it was secure. However, the lot was so narrow and tiny that we had to have their staff maneuver the car into it. Nice outdoor seating area with sea view for breakfast. The breakfast was very basic for the 15 Euros p.p. we paid. Fruit juices seemed watered down, and there weren’t many choices. No cream cheese, Swiss cheese, Brie or proper eggs. Too many pastries, but that’s common in Italy. Overall though it was a very nice hotel and a good starting point to explore the Amalfi coast on a relative budget, compared with hotels directly on the Amalfi coast. It was just a short drive everywhere. The town itself is of course quite faded and run down, living off long lost glamour. The beach is toxic and unusable, but it didn't bother us, as we were here for sightseeing along the Amalfi coast and exploring Capri and Naples as well.

This hotel is excellent. There is a fabulous view from the spacious rooms and all have glorious balconies. There is nothing like listening to the sound of waves lapping on the shore lulling you to sleep. The staff are outstanding, friendly and knowledgeable about restaurant bookings and things to do in the local area. Yes, there are occasionally functions with loud music on the top floor but they finish by midnight and you are warned in advance. The area is full of good restaurants but you need to find them. It is not a rough area no matter what other reviewers say but it is a typical Italian seaside resort which is full of life even in the off season. It is a proper Italian town and not only for the tourists. It is not far to Sorento, Amalfi or Positano but we were much happier here than in these resorts since it was clear that all hotels were closed in these. The food in the restaurant is excellent.

I stayed at Hotel Miramare Stabia for over two weeks. The staff were beyond amazing and everyday made me feel so welcome. Cleaning staff Carla and team were beautiful and so friendly. Reception and hotel staff would do anything to make my stay comfortable. Happy beautiful people I will definitely be back. The rooms were very clean, spacious perfect for a short or long stay. We stayed there for three days, and we very much enjoyed it. All rooms have either sea-view or half sea- and half mountain-view (to Vesuvius) , which is also perfect. You also can enjoy sunset at evening from your balcony. There's a nice pool next to the hotel, which is normally half-empty, so you can always find free space for yourself. Rooms are clean and served on daily basis. You can find some water, tea/coffee set, and some snacks in the room. Staff at the hotel are cheerful and helpful.

Prior to our arrival I contacted the hotel via email to request a transfer from the Naples Airport. The response was prompt and professional. The transfer was professional and the driver was at arrivals with our name on a sign waiting. Check-in was excellent. All personal on the desk were friendly and professional with excellent English. The room and bathroom are spacious. Bed, pillows, etc. were comfortable. The heating system in the room was quiet. The shower is a rainfall shower. The older narrow pin outlets are on the desk area so note this for adaptors. You need to unplug the fridge from the thicker pin receptacle to plug the kettle. We plugged our newer European thick pinned adapter in the bathroom, not having the older thin pin adapter. The patio area of the room has excellent views and good space. The room was very, very clean as is the rest of the property. All staff are friendly and professional. There is a small fridge in the room, where we removed a few stocked bar items and placed our beverages from the Supermarket (5 minutes away) There is a safe in the room and a 40” flat screen. Breakfast includes juices, excellent coffee, baked goods, plenty of fresh fruit choices, yogurt, selection of cheese and cold meat, and a few hot items. The hotel is 10 minutes from the train station, then 15 minutes to Pompeii. There is excellent walking / running along the ocean promenade right beside the hotel or one can walk the beach. We felt extremely safe in this hotel. We read reviews about extremely loud music for parties. We asked and were told no parties while there. On Saturday night the music was so loud the building vibrated. However within 30 minutes the music was lowered to a tolerable level. The hotel needs to find a happy balance between parties and hotel guests /community.

By far the best stay I’ve had during my visit to Italy. The service by Raefal was quick and easy, and my stay was amazing! The room was clean,came with mini bar, and a balcony to enjoy the view. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent with good service by staff. I highly recommend this hotel whether a short or long visit.

We traveled to see Pompeii but wanted to appreciate the fresh ocean air and ocean view so we chose Miramare Hotel. The staff were so kind and the room was perfect. The view of the ocean and the sound of the waves was enchanting. Morning breakfast was more than we hoped for. We walked along the ocean walkway before and after a lovely dinner. The hotel is the best location in town. You cannot go wrong here!

Beautiful location right on the Mediterranean, we walked out hotel room on the balcony and enjoyed The breathtaking 270 view of Sorrento peninsula, Vesuvius volcano, and Pompeii.
