"Quite basic rooms. Only breakfast was available which was not written in description. Bar closed at 6.30pm but sometimes was much earlier, no where to get refreshments or hot drinks/water/ice..we had to keep asking reception. Rooms have no fridges to store shop brought food/drinks. Travelling with a diabetic this was not ideal and affected sugar levels. No entertainment in the evening although this was also stated in description. Not very helpful staff (maybe due to language barrier) very nice local food spots & bars. Not much to do locally and have to travel far. From Lisbon airport this hotel is 2.5 hours drive. I'd advice renting a car as taxi journeys are expensive for such long journeys. Some outside restaurants close on some days or at 7pm. The area is lovely, very friendly people. Lots of historical things to do and see. Beautiful little town. Great food spots. Bigger Pool close by very cheap for the day, good for kids & very clean. No option for late check out as flight is in the evening so bare that in mind when booking."

"We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Not only was it spotlessly clean, the staff were very friendly, location in town was excellent and there was ample free parking. The hotel itself is quite old fashioned but this gives it a certain charm as it is quite an historic building and very well kept. Great value for money and beautiful views at breakfast."
