A really enjoyable stay - comfortable clean bedrooms, lovely hot showers, excellent food in the evening and a very wide breakfast selection. A great idea also to offer a cooked breakfast 'to go' in a wrap, if you were walking or cycling. William the manager was kind enough to organise an early breakfast for us all so we could get going on our bikes. We'd definitely stay again. Clapham itself is delightful, with an absolutely first class village shop. The lovely ladies there couldn't do enough for us and even arranged safe bike storage for our bikes at the drop of a hat, as the New Inn isn't currently able to store bikes.

Nice place but the manager needs some manners he was very abrupt with the staff as well as customers, asked a question and he was just so abrupt and then watching him speak to his staff like he did it’s just plain rude locals are lovely and must be a popular place as it was fully booked

Just returned from a wonderful couple of nights stay. The staff couldn't do enough for us, so welcoming even with our late arrival Our rooms were superb, very clean, beds very comfortable and The food was great, special thanks to Julian for looking after us. Would 100% recommend staying here. Debra, Eva and Reuben.

Lovely looking old pub in a nice village near to lots of fascinating and beautiful landscapes and sites. We had a ground floor room out at the back which was a bit tired, the door didn't open very easily, the heating was set too high and difficult to turn down using the normal radiator thermostat, the wet room became half-flooded when using the shower, the toilet seat was unstable, and we ran out of paper (only one used roll supplied initially) with no room service or anyone contactable until I was able to locate a store cupboard. Breakfast was excellent on the first morning but we were advised that we'd somehow managed to book a Sunday night stay into Monday when they were shut! However, we were promised we would be provided for with a continental breakfast or similar. Unfortunately, on Monday morning the main hotel was locked and there was no one in sight or answering doors. The pub itself looks like it has been modernised inside and has very little character with the lighting being far too bright. We enjoyed our stay but because of where we were rather than the accommodation.

Last minute booking for us could not believe what we got for our money, very friendly staff well presented and polite, very clean hotel with nice bar area and a beer garden, comfortable bedroom with a large walk in shower, now to the food huge full english, cereals, pastries, juice, coffees toast. we had one evening meal and that was very good and not expensive but be warned the portions are large and i can eat. great walks straight from the door, we will return thats for sure full credit to all staff. thank you.

What a find. We were welcomed by a pleasant, friendly young man who dealt with us very efficiently. The room was spacous clean and well set up. The food was fabulous, quality, taste, variety and quantity. All the staff were a delight and clearly aimed to make all visitors stay a wonderful experience. This is the 2nd time we have stayed here this year and it was just as good as the last visit. This place is not over priced yet the rooms and service are excellent. This visit we did the Ingleton Waterfall Trail. We arrived after the walk, checked in and had a couple of drinks along with a lot of other fellow walkers. Once again we had a fabulous room and dinner was superb. Not overpriced yet the portions are huge and I’m not exaggerating!!! Only order a starter and a main if you are really hungry as like us wish that we’d only ordered a main!!!!! The starters are huge as are the cooked breakfasts. My only *******…… Fruit not topped up for the buffet breakfast, no tongs to pick up the pastries and.no side plates to butter toast at breakfast. Shame I have to point this out as it should just be standard service. Apart from that excellent value for money. Definitely our go to Dales staycation!

Found a curly ginger pube in the Mash Potatoe! Also waited over an hour for the food. The staff were quite rude when this was pointed out. Disgusting, won't go there again. Shame because it looks nice and has a good vibe. Maybe poor management!
