What an amazing hotel! When you first step into the hotel lobby the views are utterly breathtaking. We were greeted by Deborah who sat us down, brought a lovely welcome drink and then showed us around the hotel and explained the details regarding reservations and dress codes for the restaurants. We had a lovely sea view room with a private terrace with sun loungers and seating area. We were greeted with a bottle of local white wine to enjoy in our room. Small touches such as this along with the chocolates on our final night as a farewell made the experience even more enjoyable. Matteo and his team in Bella Vista made our evening and lunch meals absolutely amazing great hospitality and friendliness. The staff around every area of the hotel from the bar to the beach and reception were so incredibly friendly and welcoming it made us feel at home. The what’s app ordering service by the pool and on the beach was absolutely fantastic. Breakfast was incredible with a lovely warm welcome each morning. Thank you for helping us to mark our 10 year wedding anniversary in such an amazing setting. True bliss thank you to every member of the team at La Villa Del Re.

Fantastic staff, beautiful resort and oasis of calm. Nothing was a problem and the staff make you feel they are genuinely there to make sure you have the most relaxing and wonderful time. The pool are is spotless and the beach is beautiful, where you are greeted by attentive staff who can’t do enough. The restaurants are beautiful and we loved the more laid back feel to the Grill and view to the ocean.

We have just returned from this fabulous hotel, which is quite simply outstanding. This was our second visit and we will return again next year. It is such an easy place to relax. I can’t think of anywhere better in Europe. It deserves more than 5 stars. There are many things that make this hotel special but the key ones for me are: - the service is outstanding, both professional and friendly at the same time. A particularly shout out for the staff in the restaurants who were so attentive. When my wife spilt her coffee at breakfast, it was like ‘Thunderbirds’ were in action, the table and food restored in 2 minutes! Whilst I work in a different industry, I would like to know how they have created such a strong service culture. - the location, this is a small hotel but it is simply a beautiful spot and with a typical Sardinian beach of white sand and turquoise blue seas. The addition of an outdoor gym since our last visit was very welcome. - the food is so fresh and a great effort is made to use local produce. There is a lot of choice and many seafood options which we love. The local Sardinian wines were a delight and the Sommelier’s made a real effort to make sure we got the type of wine we like. The specials of the day were often exceptionally tasty traditional Sardinian dishes. The majority of the guests are Italian, which probably tells you all need to know. Normally at the end of a holiday, I am ready for home……not here!!!! Thank you to all the staff for such a wonderful stay.

I can't say enough good things about Villa Del Re. This is a case where the hotel, food, and beach are as good as the hotel photos, possibly even better. We stayed in a junior suite sea front room. The room was spacious, well appointed, and had fantastic views from its patio. The pool area has a wonderful chic vibe. We loved hanging out there, having a cocktail and taking a plunge in the pool. In June 2024, the beach in front of the hotel had eroded quite a bit, so the loungers and umbrellas were set up on a private beach next to it. The private beach is even prettier than the area in front of the hotel. Hotel guests can take just about any free lounger. Lifeguards will also help guests if they want to take out a SUP or kayak. Just north of the hotel is another beautiful beach with a restaurant where we ate raw oysters while having a cocktail and taking in the view. While we were delighted that the hotel facilities and beach were as good as (or better than) advertised, what really sets a top hotel apart is the staff and their service. From check-in to (late) check-out, whether it was breakfast or dinner, at the pool, or the front desk, the service was phenomenal. And it's not a snooty type of service, where you're made to feel as if it's your privilege to stay with them. There's no attitude, just great service. We appreciated it when my wife wanted to do an e-mtb excursion. They didn't have one at the hotel, so they found one in a nearby town and scheduled it for us. It turned out to be a wonderful adventure. Dining was fantastic at Villa del Re. Although we ate elsewhere a couple of times during our stay, I wouldn't fault anyone for dining at La Palme and Bella Vista the entire time. We bookended our stay with the tasting menus at La Palme: the first was seafood-themed while the second was inland (pork, beef, sheep, cheese) themed. Both were excellent. That said, dinners at Bella Vista were also delicious, a bit more casual, and, honestly, had a nicer view of the ocean. If you're looking at Villa del Re, you likely already know that it's not a cheap place to stay! That goes doubly (or triply?) for the wine and cocktails. A gin-and-tonic, cosmo, or martini will run you 20 euro at the pool. That's pretty typical for nicer restaurants and hotels. However, be aware that the upcharge on a bottle of wine is likely to be far more than you are used to -- at least in the US. You will rarely find a bottle of wine on their menu that is only twice the cost at your local store. More likely, it will be 3-4+ times the cost. I'm not stating this to knock Villa del Re -- just to let you know what to expect when you get there! In fact, I can't recommend Villa del Re highly enough. I've stayed at some very nice hotels. Villa del Re is easily at the top of that list. We would go back in a heartbeat -- and we hope to take our (adult) children there in the future.

This is maybe the nicest all around boutique resort I've been to. The staff is all friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and they really will go the extra mile to make your experience perfect. Damiano is at the pool bar and makes some of the best cocktails I've ever tasted. Whatever he's making, just go with it: he's a natural mixologist! The views are absolutely stunning and the food is beyond all expectations. I highly recommend La Villa Del Re.

This is the fifth time we have stayed in this uniquely beautiful hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. There are no limits in terms of service. Every wish is recognized and fulfilled. We are already looking forward to our next stay in one of the most beautiful hotels in Sardinia. Many thanks to all the staff, from reception to the lifeguards and of course the kitchen and cleaning staff.

My wife and I finished our honeymoon at this hotel, and both agree that this is the best hotel we have ever stayed at. The attention to detail from the staff was immaculate, while the location and amenities were perfect. Since we first stepped into the lobby, we were treated as VIPs throughout our whole stay. Two restaurants that serve great food and a pool bar that has a wide variety of choices (and even deliver straight to your sunbed when relaxing at the beach). The breakfast was a la carte, which we were not used to when staying at hotels; however, the hotel had everything you could want for breakfast and was made to order, delicious! The only downside was the fairly expensive prices by the pool bar (restaurant prices were fair, as the food was great and service was amazing). With that said, we have already decided to revisit this hotel, hopefully next year!

Amazing in everything, best hotel i have been to from the check in to the check out. Staff, rooms, room service, restaurants, beach, pool, and all other facilities are just top and luxurious. It was like being in heaven. It is also not far away from the airport and the city of Cagliari like other hotels in Sardinia.

Absolutely outstanding service, in fact I think possibly the best service I've ever had in any hotel in the world. The setting was super beautiful, tranquil and very relaxed. Food was good in the two onsite restaurants, so much so we wouldn't go off site again. Special shoutout to Nora (you're amazing!), Matteo, Ivan and more... Book with 100% confidence. If there was any downside it was the bed wasn't allll that soft.
