Great location, historic building. Helpful staff, lovely breakfast. Recommend for family trips. Close to main central Catania sites, useful businesses - excellent laundry round the corner, trattorie. Flexible baggage storage and warm interiors during the wet cold winter period.

Everything was fine. Clean, spacious. Staff was great and very helpful. Breakfast very nice with beatiful terase. Location almost in the center. It was little bit noisy during weekend but manageble. Internet speed could be better, we struggled because was 4 of us.

The hosts were wonderfully accommodating, helped us arrange taxis, very nice people. Very close to all the major tourist spots, great location. Safe. Room was well appointed and very clean. Nice breakfast on rooftop terrace provided. Only caution for people with mobility issues, lots of stairs, though they brought our luggage up for us!

Staff were some of the friendliest and most welcoming people. They were very accommodating and very helpful with all we needed. Hotel was right near buses, trains and many places to eat or see Breakfast was very lovely and very appreciated. The warm water takes a little while to come through but doesn’t matter in the heat! Thank you for a great stay.

Great hotel in a great location. Would highly recommend this hotel. The owners are lovely and carried our bags up the stairs. There's always someone working at the reception desk, which is helpful if arriving later. The rooftop terrace is a beautiful place to have breakfast, which has a good selection. We caught the bus from the airport and it was a very easy way to arrive and depart from the airport. The hotel is close the the centre and within an easy walk of many historic buildings. Booked this hotel for two nights (three days) for a party of nine people. Only seven minutes walking distance away from the square where the Cathedral of Sant' Agata, night bars and restaurants are. We used this hotel just as a base for touring the eastern part of Sicily. This is a small hotel situated on the third floor of an old, presumably Baroque building and is only accessible by stairs. The rather dark alley, main entrance and the way up to the hotel are not very appealing, but once you get there, the atmosphere surprisingly shifts to a more welcoming and safer one. We were welcomed by a very kind staff especially Oscar. There is someone always on duty 24x7 at the front desk to check you in. We stayed in three seperate rooms. The rooms were clean, but as expected, in some need of maintenance. They were all equipped with an air conditioner and a TV. In two of the rooms was a mini fridge as well, I cannot say why the third room did not have one. At first, we were slightly disappointed by the fact that none of the rooms had an electric kettle, but Oscar was kind enough to provide us with one for each room. Beds are presumed to be comfortable since none of us complained about them. Breakfast was served on the roof terrace comprising mainly of cakes, bread, fruit, boiled eggs, juices and a variety of cold cuts. The staff at the counter were very kind and helpful. We asked for gluten free items, which they provided without any issue. Overall, the breakfast and terrace were great. At night, the area may turn into a rather noisy concern due to people returning from bars and restaurants. Note that there is a foldable wooden door on the sides of the balcony that you might not immediately notice. Very useful should these noises turn into a nightmare. On some websites I saw this hotel advertised as a three star hotel, but pretty sure the sign located at the entrance said that it was a two star hotel. They do not serve neither lunch nor dinner and do not have any form of entertainment on premises so much closer to a two star in my opinion. We were given the permission to keep one of the rooms for a bit longer on our last day. I highly recommend this location only if you are going to spend the entire day exploring the country.
