Santuzza Art Hotel Catania

De kamer was oud maar dat had ook wel heel veel charme. Als je hiervan houdt is het echt een aanrader, leuke authentieke oude Italiaanse indruk. De voorzieningen waren goed maar het ontbijt was magertjes. Die zou ik alleen erbij pakken als het maar een paar euro kost anders kan je zelf beter 's ochtends ergens wat eten. De locatie is goed en ook dichtbij een metro.

위치는 최고입니다. 어디를 가던 접근성이 매우 뛰어납니다. 시설은 평범합니다. 아침에 나가서 종일 다니다 밤 늦게 들어오시는 분은 가성비 측면에서 탁월합니다.

Sehr altes und verkommenes Gebäude. Gar nicht wie auf den Fotos. wir waren nachts angekommen und es war gruslig. Der Aufzug war außerhalb des Gebäudes und es stand ein Müllsack davor. Es roch sehr unangenehm und süßlich. Überall brüchig und runtergekommen. Der Mann von der Rezeption war aber sehr nett. Wir sind wieder gegangen und nach langen hin und her hat Trip.com das Geld zurück erstattet zum Glück. Wir hätten lieber am Strand geschlafen als da kann es niemanden empfehlen. Auf den Bildern sieht es komplett anders aus wie ein Luxushotel. Kann gute Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Wir waren sehr geschockt und haben uns nachts halb 2 ein anderes Hotel genommen. Man sollte es aus dem Listing herausnehmen für 100 Euro pro Nacht schon eine Frechheit. Es ist vielleicht 20 Euro wert.

The location of this hotel is excellent. I went back to my room to rest or refresh. Then I went out again. There is a cinema next door. The main department store is a block away.

staff was accommodating to our late arrival time from the airport. Also explained with details the premises and places around, ie: pizzeria. The breakfast was delicious and plenty I would recommend them. Thanks Alexandre and family

The location is nice, but that’s about the only nice thing about Santuzza. The rooms are dirty, very dirty. Balls of dust dirty. There was a whole in the wall, with a big ass spider in it. We couldn’t charge our phones cause the power plugs didn’t work (***????). The shower was very dirty, and there was no hand soap. The breakfast was okay but a bit sad, frozen brioches for sure. And plastic cups (what about the planet???) The staff was nice but there were so many employees that is really difficult to understand how it can be so dirty, what are all these employees there for?? Overall, terrible value for money and terrible for the planet.

Wé were with our school in this hotel. The quality was a Desaster. We would never have allowed to have our children stayed had this hotel. The rooms were dirty and filthy. The children cleaned the toilets them self and didn’t take a shower. We could write a lot more. They Feld discussed about the hotel. Only positiv point, the breakfast was not bad.

I made the mistake of reading other reviews of this hotel a day before we set off for Sicily and most of them were poor. Fearing the worst, I was not looking forward to staying here. On arrival, I have no idea why the reviews were so poor. Our room was clean the bathroom was clean, towels and toiletries were provided I could find little to complain about. The breakfast was very generous, with everything you would expect from a buffet breakfast, despite us not arriving for breakfast until late, we never found anything to have run out. The hotel is almost right in the centre of Catania and was competitively priced. Any queries we had were handled curteously by the staff, who all spoke far superior English than my woefull Italian. I did wonder if some of the poor reviews were from rival hotels as I found only a few tiny points that spoiled our stay, none of which were the fault of the hotel. During our stay many of the guests seemed to want to run/shout up and down the corridors late into the night and early morning which disturbed our sleep on almost every night, not the fault of the hotel, but it did spoil our stay. Our room had a balcony which looked out over a vertical 'tunnel' so we had no view, though this didn't worry us particularly. The hotel seemed to have changed name to Santuzza Hotel, the door buzzer (which we only needed on our first day) was labelled for this rather than 'Domus' which fooled us for a while until we spotted 'Domus' written in pencil below the door buzzer. Other than those small things, we had a wonderful time there and would recommend it - but might suggest taking earplugs for light sleepers when noisy guests are staying too!
