Being unable to use the app to check in, upon arrival at the hotel at 5 pm I was checked in and told that there were no rooms available for me to check in to. It was already an hour after check in time of 4 pm. I was told it would be at least another 30-45 minutes before I could check in. There was not a manager to help in the situation at all. I was offered a reimbursement of the resort fee. I asked if they would reach out to me when my room was available and was told ”no, the phone is ringing off the hook and we can not text you.” I went to the lobby to wait. I did return 30 minutes later and a room was available athough it was not the room I reserved and paid for. I was given a queen (2x bed) suite and I had reserved that room with a firepit which was a more expensive room. I was told that since a manager was not available, I could speak to Matt in the morning as only a manager could adjust the rate. The room was nice and clean. The bathroom was spacious. Check out in the morning and Matt called out and there is still not a manager available to do the rate adjustment. I requested that I receive a call to discuss the rate adjustment. That was April 5th and on April 10th, having not received a call and seeing on my credit card statement that I was charged the higher rate, I needed to call the hotel. I waited on hold for appx. 15 mintues and then spoke to Peter. Peter told me that Iw as reading my credit card statement wrong and even though I see 2 room charges and only the pending reversal of the lower rate; not the higher rate, and he assured me that I would be charged the lower rate. He emailed me a new folio. As of today, I have been charged both rates, so twice, for the same room that I spent one night in. I will need to reach out to the hotel yet again for an issue that should have been resolved on site when I checked in or out.
