Hotel Alexander Museum Palace

Museum Hotel Alexander, located on the beach, is an unique hotel filled with modern art. Each room is painted by an Italian artist. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Nowhere in Italy we had such a good breakfast. An experience not to forget!!

A last-minute change of plans diverted us to Pesaro for 2 nights, and we booked a room at this hotel (one of the few reasonably priced places left) without doing much research. When it was too late to change, I made the mistake of reading the negative reviews and had a few days of unnecessary worry. It was, all in all, entirely fine. It's true that the furnishings in the room are very basic and far from new; we were in a graffiti-themed room, which was so bare-bones that it looked kind of like a dorm room where someone had gotten in with a can of spray paint and gone to town. That said, it was all squeaky clean and perfectly functional: the bed was comfortable, the air-conditioning and the fridge were wonderfully quiet (a rarity in any hotel), the shower had good pressure, and the bathroom had a proper window, which is a big plus for me. We occasionally heard people talking in the hallways, but it was no big deal. The breakfast was excellent--I like some decent bread in the morning with ham and cheese, all of which were good quality here, and the cornetti alla crema, of which we are serious connoisseurs :), were the most delicious of the entire trip. I wouldn't pay a ton of money for a room here, expecting luxury, but for a reasonable rate, you'll be okay.

A problematical holiday courtesy of KLM failing to deliver our luggage for the entirety of our holiday, but the staff couldn't have been more friendly or sympathetic. Ours was a twin room with a balcony overlooking the sea, with very effective air conditioning. The bathroom was a bit cramped, but perfectly adequate, with a strong shower. The beds were extremely comfortable; I suffer from insomnia, but slept the best I have in a very long time. The only noise pollution was external, and beyond the hotel's control; namely beach volleyball competitions next door not finishing until after midnight certain nights. We are always late to bed, but this might be problematic for those seeking an early night. We didn't dine at the hotel, as we were visiting family in Pesaro, but did take breakfast. It was typically Italian which is fair enough as I suspect we were the only Brits staying, so the only hot food was scrambled eggs. However, there were plenty of cold meats, chilled frittata, breads, fruit and cakes etc. Certainly there was plenty to set us up for the day. If anything ran out, we only had to ask, and it was replenished in minutes (including the scrambled eggs). The lady who worked at breakfast time really worked very hard indeed, and extra coffee could be ordered at the bar without fuss. Our only tiny complaint was the insistence of use of disposable gloves by guests at the breakfast buffet. All Covid restrictions in Italy had ended (except - stangely - masks on buses/trains when ironically they're not required on aircraft). This seemed to us unnecessary, but of course others may take a different view. The cleaning ladies did a splendid job; our room was spotless every day, as were all the public areas. Yes, the preoccupation with art is a bit quirky, but nevertheless we very much enjoyed our stay. We told the staff that we would happily return the next time we visit our family in Pesaro.

Hotel pieno di opere di arte contemporanea, anche figurativa, e di bellissime sculture. Molto gusto anche nelle camere, confortevoli ma esposte ai rumori della vicina ferrovia se non affacciano sul mare. Servizio impeccabile, colazione magnifica, prezzo più che ragionevole. Suggestiva piscina

Piuttosto pesante la decorazione fatta con opere artistiche che mettono dubbi sulla parola arte!!! Ad esempio una bici schiacciata e sgangherata , una matassa di filo di ferro, posizione ottima per chi va in bici e sulla spiaggia , e per fortuna che mi hanno assegnato una stanza non dalla parte della ferrovia,!!!!

Soggiornato una sola notte per lavoro. Hotel particolare ma datato, stanza pulita ma letto scomodo. Struttura fronte mare. Colazione nella norma. Personale molto cortese. Abbastanza vicino al centro. è dotato di una piccola palestra con un multiattrezzo e macchine per il cardio.
