Poor quality of Hotel all inclusive,there’s to many people smoking in everywhere,they may have (non smoking signs) ,the variety of food is not so good

First of all the staff here are the best and most wonderful people you will ever meet. They will do anything in their power for you. The beaches are stunning and the pool is immaculate. The resort is very clean. The tropical drinks are excellent. Now for the rest. We were three couples, one had to change their room because the plugs and the safe did not work, also the toilet wouldn’t flush. Everything worked in their new room except they had to add water to the toilet to make it flush. In our room everything worked, although the safe had its finicky days when it took a long time to open. The glass sliding door was so hard to open that I couldn’t manage to ever open it. When we turned on our air conditioner the first night it leaked so much water throughout the night from the ceiling that my husbands clothes were soaking wet and the floor was soaked. He had to wring them out in the sink and hang them on the balcony to dry. There are no drawers for your clothes, only two shelves in the hallway to the bathroom. After that we kept them in our suitcases. We always had water to drink and honestly the beds were very comfortable. We have been to Cuba 15 times and the food here for the most part was limited and just not good. Undercooked chicken was served to me three times so I gave up on that. You basically ate because you have to eat but it just was not up to par at all. Now I will tell you why the five stars. We went to a welcome cocktail party for Canadians. After the entertainment they handed the microphone to a lady tourist who literally pleaded with us to not write anything bad about this hotel on trip advisor or facebook or any other media outlet. They have come here 25 times and asked everyone to give the hotel 5 stars to keep it open. I feel this is unfair to future tourists who are robbed of making an informed decision on which resort to book. This resort could be a gem if the Melia chain would fix it up. The gym was closed for the entire 2 weeks we were there, the jacuzzi wasn’t working etc. etc. Well there is the truth about this hotel now you know.

Eliana from Service is excellent and always checked to see if we were ok. Many more to mention. We love them all. They try do so much for everyone. People should come here and be part of their family. From the rooms to the food and drinks. Plenty.of everything.

Just returned home from another fabulous vacation. Lacked nothing in food had eggs,bacon,fries, buffet was awesome. Staff were great. Thank you Yeilan at reception, our maid Ariannis was amazing room always clean. Her decorations were so unique. The buffet staff were so friendly Amaury,Yaneisy,Eric,Julio, our master chef Maikel makes the best pasta. Jenny makes sure the buffet has a great deal of varieties and tasty. Our entertainment staff Yordanni,Roger,Adrian were great.

Once again, we had an amazing trip at Sol Cayo Coco. Upgraded our room 1st time ever to a suite, which was absolutely spectacular. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, wrap around deck, it was a huge room. Food was terrific, bacon, eggs, chicken, beef, seafood, soup, salad. Ice cream A special shout out to our maid at 2214 Ariannis that made our day so special with her creative towel/blanket designs. Yordanni, Roger, Amaury, Maikel, Yanietsy, Blanca, Ofrey, Sergio and so many more who always go above and beyond to make our vacation so special.

Sol Cayo Coco Feb 2025 The room and Staff for the most part were awesome. Beaches were amazing as always. They did paint the Lobbies and get new furniture which was not a big concern yet compare to February 2024 we were here. The management should concern more on the buffet to clean and replace tray food warmers which are not warming up the food. Also, in the buffet it is very critical because of black flies there is a lot of them and that is not acceptable in the present time. Despite the resort is an n older however, the hygiene standard should be maintained specially in the buffet. It needs some renovations on plumbing, electrical and other more in depth repairs. We had a slow water leak by the closet in the ceiling it has been fixed. Food variety was OK in general; however, as I said the food in the trays was cool and the meet too hard for all meals. Food - the food is another matter that lacks a serious service and standard to the costumers. And despite the effort of some of the employees, there is a very bad costumer service, lacking cutlery, napkins, and beverages and so on. A total lack of standards with other resorts around the world and maybe even within the Meliã umbrella; The entertainment we saw was excellent. I really enjoyed the live Cuban music. The hotel should be close temporary and start complete renovation. Most of the facilities are old, broken and filthy. Even if the staff is friendly the hotel cannot support what sells in the web. Reporting to the management about the problems does not give any response from their side. It seems that they are not interested in improving or making changes that would improve the service to tourists. Continued neglect or a change in management will not improve the quality of the hotel or the efficiency of service in minimum requirements. As I noticed being in Sol Cayo Coco for the fourth time this resort is degrading more and more that can lead to disregard it by visiting tourists and minimize their arrival. The staff are hard workers and strive to make each and everyone’s visit a great success. - The pizza at the snack bar was readily available with the choice of toasted bun sandwiches and fries if so desired.

First time to Sol Cayo Coco, We have been to other resorts on Cayo Coco but feel the Sol is the best, The staff are amazing, friendly and go above and beyond to help, too many to name and I do not want to miss anyone. We loved that it is a small resort with paved ramps for those with mobility issues and everything is close in proximity. There is a large pool and a smaller quiet pool with lots of chairs and shade areas at both. At the beach we had a good chose of loungers and beds. There is also a path to a small beach past the rock cliff that is part of Sol. No shortages of food. We had lots to eat and a good variety. Buffet had grill station with beef, chicken, fish, mussels, sometimes pork chops and clams; also pasta station,on 2 different nights we had turkey also,salad fixings,cold cuts and hot trays of vegetables,beef stew ( delicious), etc. All the beef was tender( the first time we have experienced this in Cuba). For us lunch was at the pool snack bar which served pizza, hamburgers, fries and grilled ham and cheese. Ala carte's were Cuban and Mediterranean. Both were good. Our room was on ground floor with nice balcony. Was renovated, had walk in shower, comfortable bed ( new pillow top Mattress). Lots of hot water. the Cayos have their own power so no outages. Entertainment was good. Liked the outdoor covered stage area. Especially enjoyed the night the organ grinder provided the music in the lobby area and the young playing the saxophone . We didn't care for the nights that it was in the disco as the sound seemed distorted and loud. The guests from Canada and other countries were very friendly and always ready for a chat or to answer questions. Definitely will return to the Sol.

One cannot help but LOVE Sol ~ Cayo Coco for it's positive energy vibes!!! It was our first time vacationing at Sol ~ Cayo Coco and we live forward to returning. High praises go to all the staff that work there ~ you all make a holiday memorable with your smiles and your willingness to assist when needed. For those with mobility issues, the resort has ground level rooms and there are paved pathways throughout the resort for easy walking. The beach is breathtakingly beautiful with catamaran's, peddle boats, and kayaks to explore the turquoise waters and revel in the sea life. The beach bar and beach restaurant are ideally located side by side and it goes without mentioning that there are washrooms at the beach. So convenient. No complaints about the food ~ delicious and nutritious however you may want to bring your own condiments. We brought hot sauce. One of the highlights of our trip was being greeted each morning at the beach with a fresh coconut to sip on!!! My husband and I are definitely returning to make more memories at Sol ~ Cayo Coco!!!

Amazing staff so friendly will help you with anything you need/want, perfect location close to the airport therfeore you arrive quickly whether you like relaxing at the beach or the night life they have you covered and the beaches are incredible !!! Definitely recommend this resort !!!

The room and Staff for the most part were awesome. Beaches were amazing as always. The daytime lobby bar staff for the most part ignored you or made you feel like the were doing you a favour by serving you. Henry at the front desk was beyond awesome. Dining room was lacking in food and cleanness. Staff were great in the dining room. I love be the but it needs work. They did paint and get new furniture. But it is an older resort. It needs some renovations on plumbing, electrical and other more in depth repairs.

This will be our 4th stay at the Sol, Cayo Coco. It's a great resort! The staff are fantastic. Many have been there for years and are like family. They really try their absolute best to ensure you have a great vacation. The food is quite good despite the challenges Cuba is facing. We did not experience any shortages. There were no power outages. The resort has refreshed their lobby and rooms and it looks lovely. They have added more palapas, some with wood structures so your chair is out of the sand if you if you want. They added swings on the beach which is fun and relaxing. The entertainment was fun. The beach is fantastic! Super long, soft sand, lovely!

Hello everyone The hotel turned out to be quite acceptable. Of course, there are many things that need repair and updating. But overall, the hotel is quite good. But in fact, this is not so important. Great location, clear sea and white sand. Special thanks to the staff, to tell you the truth we left a lot of tips and gifts for the locals, just because we wanted to thank them for their efforts. Very beautiful and well-kept territory, thanks to the gardeners, they do a great job. I would like to say separately about our excursion to nearby cities. Canada Air organizes a paid excursion to ***** and Siega d'Avila. Believe me, it's worth the money. Thanks to our tour guide Jay. He knows the history of your Cuba very well. Thank you so much for our vacation, you made my first experience of a holiday in the Caribbean islands unforgettable.
