Hotel with rustic but still beautiful decoration. Furnitures bit old for my taste, especially the bedroom. Very friendly staff. Beautiful spa and pool, although we didn’t use it unfortunately. Location and view are gorgeous. Breakfast amazing, with delicious Italian Prosecco, Italian cheese, and prosciutto, among many other delicious homemade pastry and breads. All in all I would say it is a 4-5 star hotel in terms of accommodation and facilities, but breakfast certainly 5 stars.

We had room 212. Just regular double room not superior but very good, excellent bed with memory foam mattress, huge bed. Magnificent view to San Gimignano from balcony. Lots of breakfast variety only scrambled eggs, bacon hard. Great coffee. Wonderful view from dining room. On three of the seven nights the dinner service was dreadful despite the best efforts of the industrious Lorenzo. On Monday June 18 we went in the dining room at 7.30. We did not receive any food, even bread, for over an hour. We weren’t even asked if we wanted wine. We got the attention of the head waiter and he shrugged us off saying ‘Uno momento’ and strolled past with his hands behind his back. Very condescending. On two of the nights large groups were bussed in and service suffered. Spa very nice. We had a couple of treatments which were great. Pool area good with plenty of loungers. Bar staff brought drinks and very helpful. Room service has a €9 charge! So went to bar and brought drinks back. Parked for free at Certaldo and got one hour train to Florence. Tiring as very busy and hot. Recommend open top sightseeing bus. Lots to see so set off early. Free parking too at San Gimignano with a bit of a walk. Flew into Pisa and looked round there which was amazing. Reasonable priced restaurants if you look around and we found a very good one. Came with Jet2 and car hire. Click on car hire on app to find out where you pick up car! We didn’t and rep sent us on a half hour trek in the heat with our cases to the wrong place before a shuttle bus driver told us where to go! Jet2 use the only company not situated at the designated car hire building. Still waiting for our car hire deposit refund six days later even though car was ‘fine’.

Excellent service! Friendly staff. Quiet surroundings in a beautiful hotel. Spa and pool were an added bonus.

Beautiful place and views! Loved it so much would highly recommend this beautiful place. Rooms and decor were so unique and different. Would love to return to this villa in the future. Close to beaches and to town

Beautiful hotel and grounds. All the staff were amazingly helpful and welcoming, excellent suggestions of places to visit. Rooms and in fact the hotel in general were very comfortable and clean. Lots of areas to sit and relax, both inside and outside. The spa pool and facilities were fabulous. The perfect place to relax and unwind and the scenery is beautiful too.

The resort was wonderful! The attentiveness of the staff before and during our stay was perfect! Helping to arrange our activities before we got there was great. Always responsive and helpful with emails. We will definitely come back. Oh and the wine cellar romantic dinner was like no other… perfect for our anniversary! Thank you so much… Caio!

We stayed here for a couple of nights as part of our honeymoon and had such a beautiful stay. All the staff were so helpful and kind, the hotel was clean and the food was beautiful. I also had a massage which was fabulous and the spa are was clean and relaxing. Would 100% come again and recommend to others.

This was a lovely hotel, with friendly staff. The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast was lovely.
