Brilliant stay at the Boat and Horses !! Extremely clean room , a huge cosy bed , tea , coffee , biscuits and even hot chocolate supplied each day and such lovely welcoming staff - especially Dale on reception ! Canal view family room was excellent- very roomy and no noise at all ! Restaurant attached to the hotel for a great hearty breakfast that was included in price and lunch and dinner if needed with a great selection of food !! Would I stay again - absolutely!! 10/10

I was pleasantly surprised to find this great place at the last minute. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Bed was really comfy and pillows just to my liking. Bathroom was great and breakfast was just perfect and pkentiful.

Me and my 2 children have stayed here many times, we always request the same room(as my children have autism and are used to the room) and have always had our request granted. Very comfortable beds, lovely clean bathroom. Buffet breakfasts in the pub/restaurant is always very nice too.

Thoroughly recommended for an affordable, clean and comfortable place to stay. We were visiting family nearby so it was very handy. Breakfast was good too.

Great value. The room was very spacious, warm and clean. The receptionist was really polite and pleasant checking in, as was the person who took checked us out. We checked in around 15:15 and there was plenty of parking available. The main bed was great, but will say the pull-out bed is very uncomfortable even by sofa bed standards, but was fine for my two young kids who were too small the reach the bar where the middle fold is. The bathtub is tiny and a little uncomfortable which was disappointing as we’d been on our feet all day and could have done with a nice hot soak. Biggest let down though was there was only one sachet of instant coffee… come on guys! To be fair I’ll let them off for leaving the kids their own mugs with a hot chocolate and cookie each which made their stay feel special. But that’s literally all I could really moan about if I was to be super fussy. For the price though, it’s excellent value for money. Food in the pub next door was of a decent pub grub standard and all the staff were really polite and well mannered. I’d definitely recommend and would stay again if in the area.

Fabulous staff and venue and very good value for money. Breakfast was lovely and spoilt for choice. In a Very busy junction/area and was lots of queues exiting the car park due to Costco but nevertheless it was very quiet in our room and we were not disturbed at all by traffic noise. Would definitely stay there again.

Clean spacious room, but the noise from the room above was terrible. Could have been young children running up and down the room for a couple of hours, but it was so audible in my ground floor room that I had no option to wake up (far earlier than I wanted to).
