Hotel berhampiran Pavillon Lorzeninsel, Cham

I had an excellent 3-night stay at Zug Youth Hostel. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm and welcoming staff who made the check-in process smooth and pleasant. The hostel is impeccably clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment. The location is fantastic, offering easy access to the beautiful town of Zug and its picturesque surroundings. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety of options, making for a great start to each day. The facilities were modern and convenient, contributing to an overall enjoyable experience. I highly recommend Zug Youth Hostel for its top-notch service, cleanliness, and prime location. It’s one of the best hostels I’ve stayed at.

Check in und Frühstück befinden sich im Schwesterhotel, 5-10min entfernt. Wir haben uns für den Freihof entschieden, da er günstiger war. Für den Preis den wir bezahlt haben, waren wir begeistert! Die Badzimmer sind relativ neu, alles ist sehr sauber und man profitiert an vielen Stellen vom 4-Stern Service: Beispielsweise hat es verschiedene Pflegeprodukte, Nähset, Rasierset, Wasserflaschen auf dem Zimmer etc. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls sehr lecker und das Personal äusserst freundlich & zuvorkommend. Es war für uns kein Problem, ein paar Minuten zu Fuss zum Schwesterhotel zu gehen, um zu frühstücken und einzuchecken, es war uns den Preisunterschied. Alles in Allem absolut zu empfehlen!

Lovely location with stunning views but do arrange IN ADVANCE with the front desk to have a LUGGAGE VAN meet you at the train station. The hotel does not allow cars to drive up the hill so you must walk which is no issue unless you are carrying/pulling luggage. It's a 10 minute uphill walk (choice of stairs or flat ground). Beautiful hotel and nice rooms, very clean. The outdoor seating area around the tower and outdoor fire pit area could use some maintenance in terms of daily trash pickup and re-staining of wood furniture. Restaurant was delicious. You can also opt to eat at the Hillz restaurant at the bottom of the hill for something more casual if you are staying several nights. There is also a casual food truck type place when the weather is nice.

Seehotel Sonne is a true Swiss local hotel run by a neighbourhood team who do their very best to make guests feel comfortable during their stay. They listen to their guests and provide what is needed, from umbrellas, to restaurant reservations and individual bedding requests. They make their own lavender bath salts for the bathrooms and give guests a leaving present of homemade jam. I was given a room with a bath, as requested. The breakfast buffet selection was excellent with choice fruits, cold meats and cheeses and, in addition, they were happy to make omelettes or fried eggs. Every morning they offer a special boost juice of some description which was always delicious. The position of the hotel is perfect as it’s right on the lake at the Küsnacht ferry stop and a minute’s walk across the road from the train station from the airport and Zűrich Central Station.

With the stay in a 6-bed dorm room being just an ordinary experience, the best about this place in my opinion are outside the room and specifically the ”wide corridors” nicely spacious to walk around & the ”huge lounge” downstairs with plenty of work-spaces (big tables & chairs all around). And yes, also pretty ”nice & filling” was its buffet-styled breakfast with really a variety of items (actually food available throughout the day with lunch & dinner as well but which you have to pay for unlike the breakfast included with the stay). If coming here from the Zurich Central (HB) Station, there's the train first to Hardbrucke (just one station from HB) followed by the bus to Jugendherberge (about a 15-minute ride and getting off at the station just before its last stop of Morgental). And if going downtown from here to the area with the city's ”main churches” (Fraumunster, Grossmunster & St. Peter's), there's a tram at just about a 5-minute walk ”straight from” the front entrance (and likely at a frequent interval).

Here are a few points of feedback: Friendly Staff: The staff were generally friendly and polite. When I arrived at the hotel earlier than the check-in time, the staff provided space for storing my luggage. Comfortable Accommodations: The room I stayed in was generally comfortable and clean, providing a decent level of comfort during my stay. However, there were a few minor maintenance issues that could be addressed, such as the brightness of the light. Also, the spray at the toilet did not function properly. The dining options at the hotel were satisfactory. While the meals I had were tasty, I felt that there could have been a bit more variety in the menu offerings, especially for guests staying for an extended period.

Six of us stayed for two nights in three rooms and had a comfortable, if somewhat hot stay as there was no air con although there was a small table fan. The rooms were basic but, even though two were at the front, were quiet and they were clean. Breakfast was ok, good espresso from the machine. Great central location with an easy walk to the station.

We stayed one night in the Hotel Luzernhof Annex. Stupidly we put my jewellery in a location in the room that we felt would be a good hiding place - it was so good we forgot about it when we departed early the next morning. Much to my dismay I didn't realise until we were in the UK awaiting our flight home. An email later, my little jewellery bag was in the safe hands of the hotel staff who went and retrieved it from our room. The lovely staff then posted it to another family member in Germany. I am so grateful for their kindness and attentiveness to our stressful (self inflicted) situation. Their honesty and quickness of action brought much comfort to me as the items held great sentimental & irreplaceable value. Thank you to all involved. The room in the annex was clean, comfortable, spacious, ideally situated and a great price. There were plenty of food options nearby. Although it had a shared bathroom, it was super clean and provided all that we needed. My sincere thanks to the Hotel Luzernhof.

**Lake Lucerne: A Stunning Oasis with a Quirky Twist** I LOVE Lake Lucerne. It’s a place where stunning and serene meet in perfect harmony. If refined luxury is what you're after, this lake and its surroundings will pay off in spades for you. Now, onto the hotel itself: from the outside, it’s an absolute gem—a castle-like structure exuding grandeur and luxury. But step inside, and you're greeted with a sensory assault. It feels like the owner, perhaps a successful business mogul outside the hospitality world, decided to dabble in interior design, resulting in a bizarre blend of a sanitarium and the Mad Hatter’s tea party. ”Unnecessarily confusing” would be putting it mildly. The furniture, drapes, elevators, and even the spa are a chaotic mix of designs and patterns that clash at every turn. Each suite is named and styled after an obscure inventor, complete with their portraits staring down at you in the bedroom. I ended up taking mine off the wall and hiding it in the closet. And then there’s the high-tech shower. It seems like a competition to make showering as complicated as possible, with an array of knobs and settings that require a laminated instruction card just to figure out. Every shower feels like a test of patience, leading to perpetual frustration and more than a few choice words. In summary, the hotel’s interior design is a prime example of how the urge to be original can sometimes backfire. More isn’t always more; sometimes, it's just too much. This beautiful building in a stunning location deserves better than one man’s misguided attempt to be different.

這是一個超級棒的酒店，我訂的套間，房間分開兩個房間，兩個衛生間，兩個陽台是相通的，坐在外麪喝杯咖啡，小憩一會，非常舒服，酒店房間有單獨的洗手台，非常好，酒店白色格調，空間尚可，整體感覺非常乾淨。特別要表揚的是這家酒店的早餐，品種非常多，品質也很好。酒店是自主辦理入住的，非常方便，辦理的也很迅速。酒店有停車庫，很近，很方便，停車單獨收費。
