Hotel Shivalikview

Had booked for 3 nights but since room was very small stayed for only 1 night. Bathroom was even more pathetic. Dinner was good though simple, not ***y options. Pool was not operational even in 35 degree temperature. Front desk, bell boy, guard were courteous. In room dining is very expensive and wastage of money.

We stayed in this Hotel for 2 nights. The hotel is comfortable, the stay was decent, the food was good, the staff was helpful. However, don't expect a 5-star treatment because it is not that. The rooms are not very well kept but they aren't dirty either. Bathrooms are the ones that need some repair work as it's old-style. Cloud9 restaurant and the one on the ground floor are both excellent. The breakfast buffet was okayish but the staff there was very slow. We had to wait for plates on a Sunday morning for 15 mins! This Hotel can be considered if you don't find anything decent near Sector 17.

Rooms are average but bathrooms are below average as taps not working properly even in my colleagues room also. However what I felt very very poor about this hotel is service and staff behaviour. They are highly not friendly, all have rude attitudes towards guests. Especially at breakfast time the lady ***ager with his co-***ager(or junior may be) both treat us as they are providing food on their own. They literally told us that they couldn't provide this-that even for a single bread cutlet, how cheap service they give, pathetic.

Worst experience!! The hotel room was unclean, bathroom smelly, linen torn ,staff rude , amenities were close to nill and I paid 5500 per room for this total 11000 a night!! Everything was outdated!!

Am writing the review as I stay at the hotel. Visited the city after a long time. This used to be a decent hotel back in the day but is totally run down now. The upholstery, sheets and towels are old. The food is average at best. Am sure there are much much better hotels in the city. You should stay there.

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights for business purpose. The hotel is a big property in heart of city. Room was very big and they also provide newspaper in morning in every room. It have basic amenities. the staff is very much dry. the crockery in rooms are not cleaned properly and stains were on cups and glass. food is average with almost same items in breakfast for continuous two days. the water is seeping in restaurant.

You'll get bored of the breakfast, so think of options. Good rooms otherwise, it's a little "sarkaari" so if you want to get customizations, be sure to check with the ***agers much in advance. They are usually helpful. Wifi sucks so make sure you have a back up. Housekeeping takes a bit of time, more so because they invariably run on full capacity so you might want to think much in advance if you want something from them cuz they will take time. Property doesn't have much except a pool, spa (overpriced for the experience) and gym. For food, make sure you order room service than go for the buffet. Room service is as good as the buffet sucks. Must visit Cloud 9 atleast once, food is a little overpriced but can try once. Mutton is good.

great hotel: warm and efficient check-in, beautiful, spacious rooms with nice shower; good beds, view on the garden; very nice breakfast buffet. sufficient cupboard space for clothing, nice seats. Approx 15 minutes by tuk-tuk from Chandigarh Main Station
