The hotel is conveniently located near many shopping streets and malls, making it a great choice for those who enjoy shopping and exploring the area.
The staff were very helpful and attentive. When we booked a Didi to the high-speed railway station, they assisted us in confirming the correct station address, which was especially useful as there are multiple railway stations. It happened to be raining heavily that day, and the hotel kindly provided us with two umbrellas. We were really glad we accepted them as there was no sheltered walkway or proper drop-off point at Changsha Railway Station.
In terms of cleanliness, there is some room for improvement. One of the pillows in our room was slightly dusty. Apart from that, everything else was good. The room was well-equipped with the necessary amenities, and the lobby also offered complimentary bracelet-making activities, drinks, and other amenities for hotel guests.
One important point to note for guests who are sensitive to cigarette smoke: I would strongly recommend requesting a non-smoking room. We were quite surprised to see guests smoking in the hotel lobby. When we checked with the staff, they explained that there is currently no strict control over where guests can smoke within the hotel. This may be something to keep in mind when staying in China, where smoking in public areas can be more common than some international travellers may be used to. Be prepared for this, as well as the occasional public spitting.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The convenient location, helpful staff, and thoughtful complimentary amenities were definite highlights. With some improvements in room cleanliness and better control of smoking areas, the experience could be even better.
