Residenza Vranas is a perfect spot to enjoy lively Chania's waterfront, and to tour the town. We had the top floor suite, with a big balcony, plenty of chairs and a table/umbrella combo for outdoor dining. You can't beat the views, and the suite has many thoughtful touches, especially the kitchen setup. The owner took great care of us, and we enjoyed learning about his family and the hotel's history. There's no elevator, so if stairs are a problem, you should look elsewhere. Otherwise, book the hotel and enjoy every minute of your stay.

I can honestly say this was the most beautiful hotel room I have ever stayed in. We had the two bedroom suite and it was just delightful overlooking the harbor. A beautiful breakfast was brought to us every morning. The whole place was immaculate. There is a lovely smoothie shop next-door and a great little specialty shop across the way. The owners could not have been nicer or more helpful. Don’t hesitate, book it!

My family of 4 traveled to Crete last summer and we stayed at the amazing Residenza Vranas Boutique Hotel located in the heart of Chania. Location, location and location as anything and everything that you needed was within minutes of walking distance. All rooms are very spacious, nicely decorated, comfortable bedding and amazing views of the ocean and lighthouse. It is a family owned and operated hotel and both George the Dad and George the Son were amazing hosts, everything from their welcome basket, island transfers, recommended excursions and of course food as every restaurant reservation was fabulous. The staff/concierge service exceeded all expectation and it was like having a family member on the island!!!

We stayed here during our wedding week and we couldn’t be happier with our choice! Not only was it a beautiful place to stay as newlyweds, but it also made for a great place to gather guests during the wedding week and a lovely bridal suite to get ready the morning of the wedding. We will absolutely miss the service and the views! The staff could not have been nicer!

I debated so much about where to stay in Crete and ultimately decided here because of location to the many surrounding activities we wanted to do. Wow, did this hotel exceed every expectation and become much more than a resting place. The rooms are massive, each with unique, compelling features and unforgettable views of the buzzing city and lighthouse. We often sat in the window seating area watching sunsets and the sea below. The staff was super friendly and the attention to the room from the service staff was perfection. They took service and cleaning very seriously. The breakfast was the best we had during our entire honeymoon in Greece. All of their dishes were excellent. My only criticism is the parking situation. It was quite scary trying to get by all the cars lining the tiny street. We had to fold the side mirrors in each time and were inches from hitting cars/curbs on both sides coming in/out. I recognize that is a common issue driving in Europe though. We absolutely loved Chania and would love to visit this hotel again one day. So happy I stumbled across this gem. Thank you Residenza Vranas!

Could not say enough good things about this hotel! First, our flight was delayed out of the US which forced us to arrive a day later and into Heraklion instead. The staff were extremely helpful and responsive in adjusting our car rental reservation for this change. We also unfortunately received a traffic ticket on our way and again staff gave us easy and detailed instructions on where/how to pay this. Lastly, we left our Kindle behind and they mailed it to our next destination! Thank you Vranas for making a stressful travel situation much more relaxing!
The hotel is perfectly located in the old town with a beautiful view overlooking the harbor. The room was clean, bed comfortable, and breakfast delicious. We would absolutely not hesitate to stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay in Crete at this hotel. Our room was huge (and I think it was the smallest this hotel offers!). We had an amazing view of the harbor in Old Town. The bed was so comfortable. The hotel staff was extremely accommodating. We had to have been the most annoying guests - we emailed them very often, especially because we had a ton of last minute changes due to flight cancellations, etc. They handled everything flawlessly for us! The breakfast delivery was great, too. Our second day we had to leave at 530a so they got us a "to-go" option the night before. I also left something behind and they were able to mail it to our next destination. This was our favorite hotel we stayed at in Greece - we only wish we could have stayed longer!
